Everyone with the company was very professional and nice. They explained everything they did in detail and made some valuable suggestions. The workers on the job busted their butts and were very nice.

I found Tan's through Angie's List. I gave them a call and they responded immediately. They sent Matt out to see what the problem was and he checked my three skylights and found that two of them were the cause of the leaks from my roof. They sent me an estimate and when the skylights came in. They called me and set up a time to put them in. They did an excellent job. I was called the next day to see if I was happy with the work. I was very impressed with Tan's work, customer service and pricing. I will definitely use them again. I can highly recommend them.

Tan's always responded to calls and emails, answered questions satisfactorily, dropped off shingle samples in advance. Got date mixed up and called one morning at 6:30 a.m. (not that big of a deal). Were able to accommodate dates I wanted. One question asked on-site bothered me a little bit, but if they were truthful in their answer, I'd rather they be safe than sorry. Head guy asked worker if he had insurance now. They did run out to buy a corner piece to replace which head guy did not seem to expect---but I believe he did the estimate himself so it was a little odd and we could not replace post (which was part of quote) because if we wanted it covered with matching siding, we'd have had to buy full roll of metal to cover. Wish we knew that in advance. In general, work done was fine, cleanup was good, follow up nice, but unexpected. Owner called late in day to come pick up 2nd, final check when I was told by a worker that I'd likely be billed.

Overall we found Pat and company to be very responsive, great price, and great work in the end. It took a little longer than we thought it was going to. They cleaned up very well, I never thought they would get all the junk out of the yard. They were in contact with us about additional charges for plywood needed (they realized once they tore roof off). The only thing was they overcharged us at the end for some added plywood. Luckily we caught it and they were EXTREMELY apologetic. I do believe it was an honest mistake--it happens. Overall, we were very happy with this company and have since recommended them to friends. There were some problems that arose after the job was completed. They came out and repaired something done to our HVAC condensation tubing and worked in a really tight space to find the problem and fix it for us. They did whatever it took to fix the problem and ensure that we were completely satisfied. Price was excellent compared to others.

Outstanding. Work completed within 3 days of estimate. Everything done to the highest quality standards. Very impressed by management's responsiveness to both phone calls and email. All estimates were completed by email, which I appreciated.

Tan's responded to a call within a week. Work was performed the following week. Roof gang clambered up to 3rd floor roof, ripped up old roof and replaced it in under 5 hours. Excellent work. Identified and repaired a separate window leak that has been plaguing us for over a year. Followed up with call to see if work had been performed to satisfaction. All in all, very professional.

Mr. Tansey contacted me via email and followed it up with a call, to schedule an appt for an estimate. I received the contract within a matter of a day or two, also via email. Within one week of my signing and sending the contract the work was scheduled. The crew arrived promptly at 9:00 am, completed the work efficiently. Cleaned up and carried away whatever debris there was and notified me they had completed the work by 2:30 pm, that day. A bill was sent via email, stating the completion of the work within 48 hours. When additional charges were included, I sent a questioning email and received a very prompt reply, the next day by phone. Satisfied with the explanation, the work was paid for and I received a paid receipt, plus a thank you card, for Mr. Tansey. I was happy with the work and the professionalism exhibited.

We did not choose Tan roofing for one primary reason. Tan is not certified to install Duro-Last roofing systems which is a single piece of roofing. In addition Tan's pricing was higher due to the additional labor required in the traditional flat roof systems.

I am very impressed/pleased with the quality of service and work that TANS provided us. After signing the contract and sending in the initial deposit for work, TANS came out to fix our problem three days later. Their response time was impressive, though it was almost too responsive. I was expecting a call to set up an appointment so that I could be home to explain the main issue we were having (standing water) to whomever came out to fix it. No one was home when the initial work was completed, but it appeared that they fixed our problem. A few weeks later, after a heavy rain, I checked the gutter and found that the standing water problem had not actually been resolved. I contacted TANS and explained the issue. Within a few days, they sent out another crew to resolve the standing water issue. This time, I was home to explain the issue (though they could see the standing water themselves) and they were able to resolve our problem.

Paul was extremely professional from the start. He was fast with an estimate, quick in answering questions, and the bid was considerably lower than another bid that I received. The work was efficient and very professional--the workers did an amazing job of cleaning up even though there was rubbish all over the place while the job was under way!

They did a really good job. It took a little longer for them to get to the job done because it was rainy in the fall. It was a little more expensive then they quoted because they had to put in new door.

It looks like a great job. They were professional and cleaned up each night before they left. Hard working group. They were at it, non-stop, for 11 hours the first day. I think they have a great group of guys and really know what they are doing. There was a lot more to the work than just replacing shingles. They replaced rotted wood and added finishing edges to things. Looks great. I never felt pushed or taken advantage of. They were in the middle in terms of price. I had quotes from five Angie's List companies with an A rating that ranged from $6200 to over $15,000. I think it was a more than fair price, after I saw exactly what was involved in the process.

After three weeks still waiting to hear from someone, anyone.

The estimate was done very professionally. They contacted me soon after they received the down payment that the work would begin. They finished the work in one day and cleaned up the damaged siding that was removed. I received a telephone call letting me know the work was complete and a thank you after the final payment was received. I would hire them to do more work for me in the future.

On New Years Day we discovered that the flat roof on our addition was leaking and water was coming in our guest bathroom. We called a number of roofing companies the next day, including a company that we had used previously. Tan's came out quickly and gave us a quote. We waited for quotes from the other companies which were very slow in coming. We finally decided to go with Tan's despite having not received another quote after a week because we were getting a lot of rain and things were only getting worse. Tan's came out and redid the roof before we were even expecting it. We got home from work, looked out the window and realized that it was done! It has been 3 months and we haven't had any problems. After Tan's finished the work, we finally got a quote from one of the other companies and Tan's was actually lower than the other quote. We are extremely happy.

We were very satisfied with the service provided. The job was completed in 3 days, though to do this the crew extended their work day past 8 pm, which disturbed the neighbors. Paul was the first of three vendors to return his quote, and was the most reasonably priced. We had not requested a new roof for the garage, and were impressed when Paul included it in the price because he made the assumption on his estimate. Our one concern was that Paul was only on site briefly the first day, and if my husband had not been present the foreman was about to cut through a rafter to install one of the skylights! My husband had to explain that they are sized to go between the rafters. Other than that, the crew was very polite and efficient.

Tim came out for the estimate and got up on the roof to take pictures and he took the time to explain in detail. The owner, Paul, promptly sent an estimate by email and patiently answered all my questions. Work was completed quickly and they cleaned up really well including wiping down the skylights. I have 2 small dogs and they made sure that not a single nail was left on our roof deck. I choose Tan's from 3 other estimates based on price and professionalism.

I found Tan's in a search for an A-rated roofer, within 20 miles of my home. He was in the top 5 listed and the one closest to my home with the most current reports and awards. My wife immediately called the number in the listing to arrange for someone to come out and give us an estimate. The owner of the company, Paul Tansey, asked us to email him the details and he would get back to us. I immediately emailed him a fully detailed description of our house and roofing needs as well as a request for a specific date to have the estimate done. What followed was a very confusing volley of emails that clearly showed that he did not reference the original email as he re-requested the same information I detailed in that email. Finally, he agreed to come out at the time we agreed on but he confused the day. Ultimately, he did not show up nor did he call to explain. My wife canceled plans on her day off from work to be available for this appointment.

I got six estimates from different roofers and Tan's was not only the cheapest, they were the most customer service oriented (follow-up phone calls and e-mails). I did not choose them on price. It was confidence that my satisfaction was important to them. The end result was that I was highly satisfied. They were quick and clean. My next door neighbor had a tear-off last year from another company and are still cleaning up from the mess. The Tan's guys left my yard and surrounding area spotless. You can't go wrong with these guys.

The work performed certainly seems of good quality (I just had it done a few days ago). The issue was that Paul (manager/owner?) was very poor at communicating what was going to happen, when it was going to happen, and with coordinating my meeting with the actual person doing the job. I called and got an original quote several months ago but no work was done. I followed up recently to have them come back out, review the job, and have the work done - Paul said ''No problem, we'll call you and set it up''. I received a call four days later that the work had been done and the bill was in the mail. Long story short, he just seemed quite disorganized about the job - the status of it, the scope of it, and what I wanted before it began ... I don't think that he is dishonest or deceitful in any way, just disorganized. The contractor of Tan's that actually came out to show me the work, Matt, was great. Very helpful, and even saw a place they missed and had it done. Good thing I checked.

The owner, Paul Tansey, Matt who did the estimate, Tim, Jose and crew from Tan's Roofing were all very respectful, communicated openly and worked in a timely manner. This was a stressful situation especially because I had my entire roof replaced in '99. Instead of the previous company fixing the actual problem, they just covered it up. So additional work was required. I was very impressed with Tan's professionalism and will certainly hire them if need be in the future. Thank you for helping making the best of a very stressful situation!

They were really great to work with. Very efficient. They cleaned up the yard and the guys were very professional.

A representative came out to give us an estimate the next day. We got the estimate that night via email. It wasn't the cheapest, nor was it the most expensive. Tan's had all the safeguards, guarantees and products we required. The workers completed the whole house in two days! They were neat and there was only one sign they had been there other than a beautiful new roof. One of the workers left a Cheetohs bag in the north gutter. They did a great job for a fair price. I feel confident that we have a quality new roof that will last a long time!

They were prompt in getting out to estimate the job. The estimator was very friendly and informative. The price seemed reasonable and the job was scheduled. Because of the cold weather it took a week or so for them to come out and complete the job. The worker was very friendly and fixed the problem areas as well as some other issues that he noticed on site. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them for any future roofing needs.

The tan's rep was on time, very professional, efficient, and friendly. We had two problems with the roof for which he provided two separate estimates. The immediate problem was repaired and the secondary situation can be handled at a later time. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to pressure us into doing all the repairs at once and was very honest regarding the severity of the problem in each area. This enabled us to decide what we needed to do immediately.
