Not well. Could not even get a cost for the work.

Tan's Quality Roofing did a wonderful and very professional job on my home. I thought the work quality was excellent. I would give them top grades in everything. They did disturb some landscaping we had done, but this could not be avoided and I wouldn't lower their grade for that. I'm very happy with the new roof. They were also very prompt and responsive to my questions and phone calls.

Even through the first estimate was very high, I appreciated that they made the effort to come back and give me a new estimate. This made me feel like they valued my business. The work they did was fast and real good.

Tan's was professional and fast; they found the problem right away and had it fixed efficiently and promptly. The man was nice and personable and had all of the tools needed with him to do the job.

While they had a lot of jobs in their plate due to the recent Chicago storms, they still managed to be responsive and timely, both in the estimating of the job and completion of the job. We felt the price was reasonable, too. We had another roofer come out to our house to give an estimate but they didn't bring a ladder tall enough to reach our roof (???!!! it's just a three story house!), and they didn't seem at all interested in rescheduling with us. Tan's responsiveness and ability to do the job within two weeks of our call was just great. Hopefully, they fixed the problem but we won't know until the next big rain.

Tan's Roofing was professional and prompt from the very first interaction over the phone. They emailed an estimate the same day and came to repair the siding within 48 hours. The workers who completed the repairs were professional and I felt very comfortable that they knew what they were doing (unlike a previous estimate I had received). I would recommend Tan's Roofing very highly!

I emailed Tans to request an estimate and got a reply the next day explaining that they were quite backed up because of recent storms, but an estimator would be contacting me shortly. After not hearing from an estimator for several weeks, I sent another email. Tans emailed me back very quickly, apologized for the delay, sent the estimator the next day and then called with the price the following day and completed the work the same day after my approval over the phone. After the initial delay, I was very pleased with their responsiveness. The work was completed very swiftly. Matt, the serviceman, was polite and explained what he was doing and the price was also very reasonable. I would recommend them and definitely use them again. If it wasn't for the initial delay of a few weeks, I would have given them A's across the board.

Seamless gutters was promised, but the gutters that they installed was not seamless gutters. The gentleman that did the gutter work was very difficult to approach. When I called Paul the owner he came out to assess the situation and agreed with me and called another contract to come out and correct it.

Company and the owners were extremely responsive and helpful. Work was done while I was out of town and the work area was clean when I returned.

They did a good job of repairing the leaks from the original roof installation (mistakes by another roofer). They also walked me through the entire process before starting the work. They also found and repaired problems in the down-spout by a previous contractor. Everything has been dry since.

Tan's estimator was very professional and knowledgeable. He came exactly when he said he would and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. We ended up going a different direction when two other contractors we brought in didn't feel that the roofing work was necessary - that it was, instead, an issue with deteriorating tuck pointing. Time will tell who was right.

Went very well. Helped us through choosing skylights, selecting vendor, deciding what to do for exterior insulation. Fast and smooth job.

Very clean, thorough, quick. We'd received the quote months ago, then finally decided to move forward. The job started just a couple of days after our initial meeting and was completed just a few days later. The workers were very conscientious, skilled, efficient, and not intrusive. We are very happy w/ the results.

This company seemed capable of doing the complete job but he was hesitant about replacing the skylights on my upper roof. They were also the highest of all the estimates I got by a large margin. I went with another company.

Excellent. The whole process was painless--the estimate was quick and very detailed. I made minor revisions to it which Larry was quick to incorporate and the work was performed quickly, with no mess. I wasn't actually able to be at the house when the work was being done which I was slightly concerned about, but they did a very good job. The price ended up being $65 higher because they had to go pick up the guttering color we wanted--the job was too small for the guttering supplier to deliver.

Didn't call back till the 2nd day. When giving the estimate he stated that we needed one piece of the downspout replaced, but he put 2 pieces on the estimate, therefore the estimate was wrong. I explained the problem and he said he would take the downspout out and and put a piece in there to make it go into the lawn instead of just going into the ground.

I initially called Tan's for a bid to repair a small leak with the long term goal of replacing the whole roof. The minor leak was quickly repaired and Paul quickly followed up with several options for the full roof repair. Paul was patient and very knowledgeable. He suggested a torch-down roof which I must say, I am extremely happy with (now close to a year after installation). I would highly recommend Tan's to anyone considering a roof repair or replacement.

Tan's was great, and I really appreciated being able to communicate via email throughout the process. Matt arrived promptly for our free estimate and did a great job of explaining the problem areas. He was courteous and bright and we felt very confident about Tan's after his visit. We did get a second estimate from another company; the quoted price was the same which illustrated to us that Tan's pricing reflects the market rate. We chose Tan's because Matt made a good impression, email communication was excellent, and they had many positive reviews on Angie's List. We easily scheduled the job to occur within days of our decision, and Jim showed up promptly to get started. At first he thought the job was going to cost more than originally estimated and we had to discuss an optional scenario (leaving some of the work off the job to maintain the quoted price). In the end Jim was able to finish the job at the original price; best of all - no leaks during the last heavy rains!

Accurate estimate, with time to go through the estimate for the work done, prior to acceptance and work start. Work completed as scheduled, on time, with full clean-up. No plantings were trampled or destroyed during activity, attesting to the care the team took in doing the work.

It only took 2 days to complete and there was very little mess. The workers were polite and friendly and knew what they were doing. The final price was slightly higher than the estimate due to needing to replace more decking than expected and some additional flashing.

Paul came out and was able to assess and fix the leak without ever having to enter the house, or even have us around to do the work, saving us a great deal of personal time. He was the stealth roofer: he would just call and give us updates. No leak since he's been there! And reasonably priced. We would be happy to use him again and refer him to others.

I received estimates from Tans and from a national chain also recommended by Angie's List. Tans' estimate was a little cheaper with the Angie's List discount, and the owner Paul was very friendly on the phone, so I hired Tans. After I accepted the estimate and paid a deposit, I received a call scheduling the visit to do the repair. The foreman and one-man crew arrived right on time (in a Tans truck) and got right to work. The two men were very professional and friendly. They fixed the roof quickly and then met with me to explain the work they had done, and also to point out some other potentially troublesome spots they found on the roof. There was no sales pitch at this point; in fact, the foreman said the weaker shingles would probably hold through the winter and I could delay the repairs until then (unless I wanted to take preventative action). They left and I received a copy of an invoice marked paid within one day.

WE HAVE USED PAUL'S COMPANY FOR SOME MINOR REPAIRS BEFORE AND ALWAYS RECEIVED GOOD SERVICE, THIS WAS NO EXCEPTION. THEY DID A GREAT JOB, IT WAS DONE QUICKLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE.

Tan's replied to our initial request for a quote promptly, via both phone and email. Their price was slightly higher than another company we called, but their warranty period was 2 x as long as the cheaper company, which is why we decided to go with Tan's (and also because of the great reviews on Angie's List). They took care of our first leak while we were out-of-town, so we did not even have to be there. For our second leak, they came out exactly when they said they would, and completed the entire job in a day and a half. They ripped up our old rooftop deck, repaired the leak, and then installed a new roof top deck. There must have been at least 6-8 workers there the entire time. We've had quite a few storms since having our roof repaired, and there is no more leaking from the affected areas. Paul Tansey was a pleasure to work with and extremely accommodating to our needs.

After the job was done and I thought there was still a problem they came back out without charging me to double check it. This shows me that they have good follow through and good customer service.
