The workers arrived on the date they had scheduled with me and were on time to perform the work. Jose who is the supervisor of the job was very responsible and polite with me when on site at the job. I am very happy with their work and will call them back to do any roofing or siding repair or replacement work.

The new roof went very well and pretty fast (3-4 days) and it looks pretty good. There was a communication problem with the way I wanted the gutter and downspouts done, but they made it right. See the photo before they fixed it. It looks good now. Sorry, I don't have a photo of that yet. I'm pretty happy with the work.

Very well. Tan's responded immediately to my request for an estimate and the estimator showed up when scheduled. We received an estimate shortly thereafter; work was initially scheduled for several weeks out, but in fact began a week earlier than expected. Workers took and provided digital photos of the damage at our request. Work was generally very well done. Overall, Tan's was very communicative and highly responsive.

I contacted Tan's Roofing because I had a leak that was spreading on my ceiling. It's a new building and my builder was non-responsive. Given that the weather was changing quickly, I decided to have someone fix it. I sent them an email and had the estimator come out a few days later on a Saturday morning. I had the estimate by Tuesday and they scheduled to do the work on that Friday. I did have to call them Friday morning to find out where the contractors were (they were about 30 minutes late and I had to catch a train) only to find out that they were canceling due to weather. We rescheduled for December 20th, but they ended up coming to do the work on the 14th. The contractors were very friendly. I think it may have taken longer than anticipated to complete the job (just my guess) as they were still working on the roof when I got home from work that evening. I assume they fixed what they needed to and was told to contact them if I had any further issues.

They did a good job. They were very professional.

They did a great job from the original estimate to the completion of the project. They provide me with a quote within a few days of my call and started the project within their estimated time frame. We had scheduling issue with one aspect of the project, but they handled it very professionally and kept me posted as to how they were going to resolve the issue. They were extremely responsive with any questions or requests that arose during the project.

They were inaccurate about how long the project would take, but it was always easy to reach someone on the phone.

They have done additional work for us as well. They do a great job. I would use them again! They are a smaller company. They are nice and good to work with.

Tan's was very professional; they scheduled the work, came on time and finished the job in two days. I had some questions and the owner came to my home to inspect the work and sent men the following day to follow-up very minor punch list items. The work looks great and the crew was very neat and they left the job site clean.

The contractor responded promptly with a phone call, but asked me twice if I were a contractor trying to hire him as a sub-contractor due to the detailed nature of my RFP. It was not a pleasant conversation. In a couple of days, another company representative called to go over the job and told me they were unaccustomed to such a detailed request for an estimate. I said as a faithful Angie's List member I did my homework and knew what I wanted done. A fully detailed proposal arrived by mail in a few days. I chose to hire another contractor whose price was lower for the same work.

I called Tan's and was advised to request service via email. I sent an email outlining the work needed and our location. I received a prompt response stating that someone would be in touch soon to schedule an estimate. I didn't hear from Tan's again for a few days. I called and was told that my residence was out of their service area. I pointed out that I gave them the address in my original email. They considered making an exception. Over a week later Tan's called to schedule an estimate. The estimator was to arrive at 8am. No one showed by 8:40am. I called the main office, they connected me to the estimator, he was running late. He arrived after 9am. The estimator did not act professionally; he seemed sleep deprived or hung over. I was told I would be sent an estimate in 2 days. After several days, I emailed that I assumed they no longer wanted to work with us since we had not received an estimate. The estimate was sent the next day. The cost was double their competitors.

I called Tans Roofing because it had the most postings from people; they were very punctual and friendly; they came out, looked at my trouble areas on my roof and said they would get me an estimate within a few days. A few days came and went and 2 weeks later I have yet to hear anything from them. I would not recommend them as this is a big problem forgetting about your customer.

Larry Tansy gave the estimate for the work. He met me at my house on a Saturday to make sure that we both understood the work that I wanted them to do. Larry set up a couple day window of when the work would be completed and had to change it slightly because of the weather. They expected to finish everything in one day, but they did not have time to install the fans. When they came back the next week to install the fans, they also fixed a minor problem with the flat roof that they installed the prior week. Jose, the fellow who did the work on the 2nd day, was very professional and made sure that I was satisfied with his work before he left for the day. Also, on both days, all the debris was cleaned up. I couldn't even tell that they had come to do the work. I would recommend Tans to anyone who wants good quality work done on the roof.

Had some difficulty with scheduling. Company tried to cancel at the last minute, but rescheduled later on the same day. Also had some communications problems between work crew and office. Work crew originally only had work order for skylight portion of job and ended up having to come back a second day to do the work on the parapet wall. Also were unsure if they were to repair entire wall, or just 1/2.

The estimator arrived promptly and the price was fair. In the end, we ended up using another contractor who we felt had a bit more experience dealing with attic ventilation issues.

I had a little trouble getting Tan's to get back to me regarding an estimate, but once the estimator came out, the work went very quickly. The men who came to do the work missed one spot, but a quick phone call to Tan's resulted in someone coming out the next day to take care of that problem.

Tan's was professional. Matt came out to take pictures and identify the problem - he was personable. It took a couple calls/email for the estimate. When we decided to schedule the work, they came close to the schedule time and worked quickly and efficiently. They used scaffolds and completed the work under the estimated time.

I sent a e-mail to the company and got both an e-mail and phone response within two hours of their opening. A person came out the same day to inspect the roof and drainage (gutters and downspout). An estimate was given the next day in an e-mail. Contract was signed; workers came two days later and did the work and cleaned up everything. Both of the Tansay brothers were pleasant to work with.

A crew from Tan's arrived within 2 weeks of contracting the job. The men averaged 10-12 hour work days, and the job took about 3-1/2 days to complete. They were extremely efficient and unobtrusive. Each day, they would go over the top of the townhome on ladders to get to/off the roof deck (on 4th floor). The first three days, they arrived between about 8:15am and 8:30am, and they started a little after 7:00am on the final day. I was home only during the first morning of work. When I peered outside, I counted at least nine workers on my roof that first day. The crew number varied on different days and at different times, but it seemed to range between 4 to 9 workers at all times. With the tear-off and deck replacement, the job was extensive. They were responsive to my comments (e.g., need to move ladder to different location so neighbors at townhouse complex could get in or out) and questions. Both service and quality were good. The owner inspected the day after job completed.

Our inspector told us when we were buying the house that the dormer roof was at a too small of an angle to have been covered in shingles and should have been covered in 'flat' roof. The drywall was a little damp after it rained. The sellers got another company in who repaired some flashing and told them it would be fine. It wasn't. A heavy rainfall got it damp again and we had a couple of roofers come out to take a look. TQR sent an estimator who pointed out some other issues including skylights that will need replacing soon. They sent me a quote. We decided to wait untill next year for the skylights so I got a new quote without them. I contacted Larry and we scheduled for Thursday. Thursday was rain and storms so they called me on Wednesday and we talked about options and they offered to come Saturday morning. They arrived on time at 8am and took about 4 hours to replace the roof and do the flashing. All seems great but it hasn't rained hard yet...

They were very responsive and helpful in explaining all of their work. They provided digital pictures of the T&M work so I understood its full extent. They completed the work in the estimated time and even with more extensive T&M work than I expected, were within the estimated range. I felt they were very fair in all dealings. They cleaned up everything when they left as promised.

Excellent. Tan's provided the estimate promptly, and thoroughly addressed all questions about installation, materials and project cost. Paul Tansey personally walked through the completed work, explaining what they did and why. The roofers were very professional and left the site and stairwells clean during their work. We were quite satisfied with the quality and timeliness. Small issues which we had were promptly fixed.

THEY CAME BACK AND FIXED A DENTED AREA WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THEM. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
