We got a quote quickly. They were extremely professional when they came.

Excellent. Our old gutters were worn, prone to clogging and didn't drain well. TQR was able to install new gutters and downspouts and add an additional one to help manage the water flow.

The owner is a great person. I have used his company twice. The prices are reasonable. When I needed a new roof, I called them and they came when they said they would and did a great job.

No work done-out of price range to fix a leak.

The project went very well. We had some issues because the weather did not cooperate and give us three consecutive days to get everything done, and Tan's had an issue with an outside contractor they use to fabricate the gutters, but overall I was very pleased with the way things turned out. Their guys worked long hours when they were here and they sent their foreman out to make sure everything was done according to the contract.

I asked a representative to come out for an estimate on a new chimney, tear off, reroofing and gutters. I made an appointment for 8:30 and by 9:05 was concerned because Paul had not come or called. Called the company to be told that the person doing estimates had an emergency at the last estimate and he was on his way. He sat in the truck outside my house for 10 minutes, on the phone, so Paul was almost an hour late. He did not go up on the roof to inspect as the other companies had done, and told me it was a small job. He made a diagram and left. He told me that I would get an estimate within 72 hours. It has been 10 days, and no estimate has been sent. Good thing I found other companies who would do my "small job".

Good experience from beginning to end. We had put off roof work for several years because we knew it would be a big job. Most estimates called for a complete tear-off. Other roofers wouldn't bid because complexity of multiple units of a town-home complex. Saw TQR at the Home and Garden show in Schaumburg. They called back the next week and scheduled for an estimate within a week. Estimator arrived on time and inspected the roof. Bid was received within a week and over the course of 3 weeks, while bids from other roofers were being collected, TQR quickly and thoroughly answered all questions. Selected TQR based on price, reviews on Angie's List, and responsiveness. After signing contract, tear-off was scheduled to occur in 3 weeks. There was an opening in their schedule and we were moved up to within a week. Crew showed up next day, on-time and were done within the estimated time frame. TQR employee was sent to meet me after work, at a time convenient to me, to look over the roof. Minor clean up was needed and completed on the spot.

Showed up day of work without prior notice. Workers rocked out to the radio all day, causing my neighbors to complain and waking up our kids from napping. The roof was done very well, torched on perfectly. It looks great. The siding was disappointing, however. Tan's bolted up a piece of wood that roughly matched the color of the siding, but was much thicker and it just looks goofy. The crew took our push broom when they were done (accidentally?). I called to get it back, Tan's said they would look for it, I still don't have it. My ratings don't reflect a lousy experience, because it wasn't terrible. It was a fair experience, I could imagine better and worse outcomes.

A nice man came over the crawled on our roof and took digital photos of the "bad" spots. Then, we got a quote, which we accepted. Later, we asked that another roof section be added to that quote, and that was not a problem. The job was postponed several times due to weather, but that's natural in Chicago. They came and did the work; we did not need to be home. We didn't climb up to look at work, but we assume it's good! Quality work, excellent follow-up, fair price.

Tan's did a great job. We received bids from several companies and Tan's was on the low end of the range. We felt confident moving ahead based on Angie's List and after lengthy conversations with Paul Tansey to discuss details of work. They got it done in 3 days and communication was outstanding. We received hundreds of digital photos as the work progressed so we could see the attention to detail. Add-on work is typical for this type of job, but it was all explained and the billing seemed reasonable. Tan's showed real expertise in building a water tight roof that will last. Some cosmetic details are not as clean as other work we've seen, but it was well worth the cost savings. We asked them to return to reset the most visible coping tiles for a better look - they completed it quickly with no complaints. Overall it was a great experience and we sleep well when it rains!

Jim was terrific. Right on time and totally professional and courteous. The house sold in 18 days. I believe that the siding job Tan's did, combined with the new cladding, really helped to make the house look neat and well cared for.

Estimator was through, took pictures, etc. and we received a competitive estimate. All contact with the office was professional and complete. Job was scheduled to be completed in 2 days and it was. Estimate turned out to be low due to the extensive work which was discovered after the roof was removed--such as broken joists. Workers at any one time reached 10. They worked hard and fast. Clean-up was completely satisfactory. I feel very comfortable and pleased with the work done.

They answered the phone right away and were able to do the work immediately. We didn't even know that they had been to the house to do the work.

The whole process went very well. It was a relatively small job, but the company indicated they would do the repairs. They also came over quickly as the winter months were coming. There was great communication between me and the company during the process. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend their quick response and professionalism.

I contacted this company on March 13, 2008 to get an estimate on a roofing job for my home. After giving all of my contact details and describing the problem over the phone, the gentleman told me that one of their estimators would be calling to set up an appointment with me and asked me to send him an email with all of the information I had just told him over the phone. That didn't make a lot of sense to me. Why did I just spend the time telling him over the phone, only to repeat myself in an email? He said it was so that once the estimator came to our house they could then easily email me the estimate. Anyway, 10 days later the estimator has never called to set up an appointment as promised, and i have had no follow-up from the office manager. We will find another contractor to do the job.

Tans was quick in returning phone calls and attentive to scheduling. I waited over 3 months for another company to try to schedule me in but then never got back to me. The work looks good as far as I can tell. They were the most expensive estimate, but then again, they also called me back.

Started out thinking we would only need a small patch job after the ceiling in our bedroom had a wet spot in it. Upon further inspection, our entire roof needed to be redone as the beams underneath the roof were not properly installed when the building was built. This was a big expense to us (the condo association) as insurance doesn't cover building defects. Tan's was patient as we needed to make the payment in installments, it was a pleasure working with them and I would recommend them to anyone as they were very knowledgeable, did great work, and did it quickly as well. Thanks Tan's, we appreciate the work, and look forward to enjoying our porch this summer.

This is hands down THE BEST company I have ever contracted for work (and I have done a lot of work). I recommend them highly. I think they do more than just gutters - but you can call them to find out. The communication was excellent - the owner keeps me updated before, during and after the work via email and phone calls. The estimator was polite and came immediately and turned around the proposal for work in one day. They completed the job on the scheduled day - even with all the snow we have been getting. Amazing. The WORKMANSHIP was EXCELLENT. The workers were POLITE and RESPECTFUL. Work completed ON SCHEDULE. The owners made sure we were 100% SATISFIED. Their bid was very competitive. The final invoice was exactly as estimated. I have never written a review on the internet but this company deserved me writing a gleaming review. Call them now and you wont regret it.

They came out to our house to do the repair and repaired our leaking roof in the middle of winter which we really appreciated. They were able to get the work done in a day. We were very happy with their service and they really did a nice job. We would use them again for future work.

Frank was thorough and polite as he explained roofing inspections and estimates. When we purchase the property I will be calling him for an estimate.

Very well. We discovered some roof leaks during a kitchen remodel and these guys were here in less than 24 hours of me calling and they were very responsive. They did the repair work in January in between 2 snow storms and were very careful to recommend the best solution for our problem that would last.

Paul and his brother were both excellent in answering many detail questions for a small job...always polite and respectful. The work was done promptly, neatly and with attention to detail.

The price was in line with other vendors. They sent a thank-you card after the work was done which we thought was very professional.

Paul promptly and pleasantly answered our call at 7 a.m. during a rainstorm that caused our roof to leak. Within 90 minutes he arrived at our home and was on the roof explaining problem areas to my husband who went up with him. Paul is preparing a detailed estimate on future roof work since we had another roofer already doing emergency patching. We felt very confident with this company and we were very pleased at the quick and professional response to our call. Because we called 2 roofers and they arrived at the same time during this storm, a situation that could have been awkward, we were particularly pleased with the fact that it was not awkward. We feel that this is a very professional company.
