I liked them a lot. They are very knowledgeable. I would certainly use them if needed down the road.

This is my second time using Tan's as I was so pleased when they did the complete tear-off and replacement of the roof over our home. Their proposals are detailed, they photograph EVERYTHING for you so not only you know they did the work - but you have records of the work performed. Their crew is so professional and helpful. I had a lot of questions and Eugenio is the BEST. They even will point out things - while they may be extra cost, are the right way to do it so you don't run into problems later. They also fixed the rotten fascia board over our porch and even repainted everything to match (I had leftover paint in my basement). While I hope I don't ever have to do roof work again (haha), I wouldn't hesitate to use Tan's. They would be my first and only call.

They were contracted to fix just the soil stack leak for $500. The workers came out, fixed the stack leak and then redid the condensers area on the roof as well, which was not in the contract. That was an extra $200. They were very flexible with the terms my HOA requested for the work. Overall, I am happy and dry.

We called them this time because of the quality of the roof that they redid for us about three years ago. We found a way to communicate with them. That is really important and something that can't always be worked out. I have a relative in another state that has experience in roofing. We fowarded our three bids to him and he thought that Tan's was the best company to go with.

I cannot complain. They arrived on time. Very little was said. I could hear the two repairmen talking to each other but in Spanish. So I went about my chores and when they finished, they left. From what I can see, they did a very good job. I would use them again.

Very well. The neighbor’s informed us at the beginning of August they were placing their house on the market, and moving the end of the month. This meant we needed to complete 10 years of differed maintenance in 3 weeks while we still had access to the neighbor's gangway to complete the work. Larry Tansey and Co did a great job of coordinating with me, and their mason, Greg did a spectacular job of completing the project on time, despite the short turnaround. The masons did an excellent job of cleaning the job site at the end of each day, and the neighbors felt assured no harm was being done to their home to impede the sale of their home which went under contract during this project. We are very pleased with the quality of the work, the excellent customer service and the responsiveness of the crew and subs. We look forward to hiring them next year to perform the same repair on the other side of the foundation (without the pressure of needing access to the neighbor’s property). While the cost of the project was more expensive than other estimates, we decided the ability to trust delivery on this difficult situation was paramount to the price.

Tan's Quality Roofing did very good work for us and was very well priced. It took a while to get the work scheduled after the initial consultation between availability and weather issues but I think that's pretty common. We would call them again.

I contacted Tan's Quality roofing to give me an estimate on fixing my leaking roof. The person came out, was very professional and friendly. They gave me an estimate that I thought was reasonable. When I had questions, Larry Tansey responded promptly. They scheduled the work for July 31st. I asked if they do it one day earlier since I had to work on the 31st. Larry responded right away and agreed to accommodate my schedule and come on the 30th. The workers came over right on schedule. I waited to do this evaluation until it rained hard to see if the roof still leaks. It rained hard last night and it did not leak at all. They did a good job.

TQR quoted my project over two years ago and I kept dragging my feet. They nevertheless were always good at keeping my quote open with only minimal price increases due to their own supply cost increases. When I decided to finally pull the trigger, I sent a barrage of roofing and structural questions their way. They willingly answered all my questions so that I would feel completely comfortable with and knowledgeable of the work being performed. On the kick off day, the workers showed up on time and got right to work. The job included: -A complete tear off -Repair/replacing any rotted fascia board -Install rafter ties in the attic -Lay down all new plywood -Install tarpaper and iceshield -Revent an existing bathroom fan to a better location so as to decrease the amount of ducting. -Install energy efficient lifetime guarantee architectural shingles -Install new aluminum gutters and downspouts. They workedfor three full days as there was additional wood rot/board replacement they hadn?t planned on encountering. At the end of the project, the roof looked great and the crew thoroughly cleaned up. I had some landscaping roughed up in the front of house but I can?t really be upset over this given the ladders had to go somewhere. The smashed vegetation was well within being reasonable for the amount of work going on around the house. The foreman was extremely pleasant even while being berated by my neighbor. To placate the neighbor?s anger, TQR offered to clean the gutters of his home. I thought this was a nice gesture and I hope it was well received. I was definitely happy with the service and professionalism of this company and have already referred them to others a number of times.

They came and did the sealing,cleaning, covering but did not address the main problem for which I called them. After the work, they sent me photos of the job. Seems that they did a lot of work to clean the gutters and seal them properly. Communication improved after I voiced my concerns with an initial lack of communication.

I called Tan's on a Wednesday and requested a quote to fix a situation that caused an ice dam last winter. The person I spoke with on the phone said that he would have Dan call me to schedule an appointment. Dan called the next day and scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. He arrived promptly and inspected the damage inside before getting his ladder to inspect the roof. He did a thorough inspection and inspected the gutters and even removed some debris from one gutter. He explained that at the front end of the house, the gutter was not properly pitched and that is why water accumulated in that area and eventually backed up causing an ice dam. We discussed three possible solutions and he indicated that he would need a few days to get a quote together but I would receive the quote by Thursday. As of this writing the quote will be a week late tomorrow. I expected better responsiveness from such a highly rated company.

Initially it went very well communication were a little hit and miss and it seems there is a lack of interoffice communication. I was very up front with the urgency with which I need the services performed. When the quote came back for the coping it was a fixed price with an additional line item to replace two down pouts. The coping seemed a bit high but the down spout addition was ridiculous. I declined the down spouts and signed the contract and immediately paid the deposit (50%). They perform the services a couple days later. I happened to be out of town when the serives were performed. When I came home the job was, at best, 80% complete. The two end caps looked very unprofessional and the two corners weren't even done. I had to call Tan's and get them to come back out. The ends look better now and the corners are great. Dan over at Tan's does good work and care about the customers (he just seems slammed). So the next day all the work is done I get a final invoice for the lat 50% of the total for the coping only to get another email an hour later from Larry the owner telling me that they had mistakenly replace the downspouts (more internal miss-communication telling not informing the guys doing the work that I declined the down spouts) and he wanted the FULL cost for them. I respond and tell him to call me for the entire payment including the extra cost but they will lose my business as a result. Larry doesn't even call me directly but has someone else. To bad...I like Dan and have another couple of project that I was going to give them. This was a trial run. So much for trying to use a local family business. ***UPDATE in Response*** I was upfront about time frames and the only reason scaffolding was need was they didn't perform the work when they said they could. Now I am getting emails from Larry the owner telling me I was a pleasure to deal with and please recommend him to friends and family.. NEVER! Copy of email below: This guy has no clue! As usual Tan's Quality Roofing did an excellent job. Workmen were professional and completed quality work. I was originally scheduled for August 1, but an opening occurred on their schedule for July 16. The workmen were punctual and made sure I was satisfied before leaving.

Originally, Roger came out to look in our attic for a leak which was causing damage to our bathroom ceiling. Well, Roger could not get to the area of the leak and said someone else would need to come out. Unfortunately, I did not hear back from anyone. So, I called yesterday and spoke with Dan, who apologized that Roger could not complete the estimate and said he would come within the next 2 days. Well, by 10AM the next day, Dan called and scheduled a time to come out. He arrived promptly and was very pleasant to work with. He crawled around in the attic and found that the problem was not the roof but a vent pipe. He took ample pictures, dug out the exact area of the pipe where the leak was occuring through the insulation, explained to me what was going on so I could tell a plumber, and then sent me the pictures so I could show the plumber. So, while my experience may not have started out so great, Dan was a true professional and was so helpful and took time to detail and document the problem, even though he was getting no business from me. Another roofer had said something about the flashing, but Dan was honest and said the roof was not involved. And he came when they were backed up 3 weeks on estimates, all because I hadn't received a call to reschedule the previous call. I would use them in a heartbeat if I had a roofing problem.

Professional communication, easy completion done via email and receipt left in mailbox (work can be done without having to be on-site). Didn't get feedback about status of the gutters and any issues that might exist. Hopefully that means that there are no issues. Overall positive experience.

They did high quality work on the roof. The issue was this turned out not to be the source of the leak; which we didn't find out until later. When I notified them of this, they immediately sent someone out to check that their work was not shabby and find the true source of the leak...which he was able to do in one afternoon. The quality of work was very good, the only reason they get a B is because the initial diagnosis of the problem was incorrect.

These guys are the best. Larry's crew did the roof on my main home last summer. I had 3 estimates done and TQR gave me the most information about the process, what material options were available and how the work would proceed. They showed up on time to do the inspection and gave me insight into what I needed to do now and what could wait. In the end we were so happy with the quality of work we had them come back this spring to replace the roof on my garage before we installed a new roof deck. Again I had 2 other companies do estimates. TQR had the most substiantial proposal and based on the experience from the first roof we were happy to use them again. I shared all the information with the contractor installing the deck and he said he was really impressed and would use them in the future as well. Really nice group of guys on the crew and they worked hard to get done quickly. Hopefully its 20 years before I need to do this again but if I move or someone asks me for a recommendations TQR would be the way to go.

I contacted them for an estimate and Rodger showed up 30 minutes early. Can't beat that punctuality. He was straightforward and honest about what was wrong "flashing needed replacement". He didn't try to push me on other services. The only reason that i didn't go with them is that they weren't able to fit me into the schedule before 4 days of rain were about to hit. The other company (which I went with) was able to fit me in before that storm showed up to destroy some more of my drywall. TLDR: Pros, on time, seemed honest, didn't go with them due to matters outside their control.

We've been working with Tans over the years to try and save our roof. In 2013 it was the last straw. Paul Tansey told us he would no longer take our money. The roof could no longer be repaired, it would need to be replaced. He spent about an hour on the phone explaining all the work that had been done to date (over the last 5 years). He was able to send me pictures of everything. He sent someone out to quote on replacing the roof. It seemed reasonable. We were so thrilled to have them complete the work. Now we don't worry about leaks or other damage. Great, ethical company!

It went great! It took 2 days one for the tear down, have to admit when I came home it looked like a torn down house with all the roofing material in my yard. However on day 2 it was completed, totally cleaned up yard both mine and my neighbors and i looked awesome. I haven't had any problems with it at all. Larry & Ryan Tansey were extremely helpful and responsive and their work crew was polite, professional and courteous. They had done my garage roof the year before and I would definitely recommend them!

The guys that were scheduled to do the work turned up on time and were polite and professional. I was given a quote for the work to be performed and even though on closer inspection the work turned out to be more complicated than they originally thought, they fixed everything that needed to be done at the price I was originally quoted. Also once we can returned a signed contract and deposit they were able to fit me into their schedule very quickly so that the water damage was minimized. On the actual work done I was extremely satisfied and would definitely rate them at an A. We did however have some problems setting up the initial appointment for the estimator, hence the 2 B ratings I have given. I called the company late on a Friday afternoon and was told that someone would be in contact with me to arrange an appointment for an estimator to come and look at the roof, unfortunately no one returned the call so I emailed the next day. Someone called me back, hugely apologetic and said that someone would be at my home at 8 o'clock on Monday morning. When no one turned up I had to call back, only to be told that the person who was supposed to come had not picked up the schedule and so was not coming. Another time was then arranged for which he did turn up on time. All that said, I would still highly recommend this company for the work they completed and the time within which they were able to do it.

The roofers arrived at 8 AM and worked until 7:30 PM to complete the job. They accessed the roof through the front garden of a 25-ft wide city lot. There was no damage or noticeable dust inside the house while the work was being done. Unfortunately, the newly grown ground cover was crushed with all the debris. The roofers were able to protect some heirloom plants, but some new growth was harmed. Because of the tight location, chutes were not an option to the street-side dumpster. After the job was done, the roofers carefully cleaned up the properties on either side as well as mine. They were meticulous. It was a tough job, well done. PS The contractor discounted the price of the job for plant damage. That was a pleasant surprise.

It was good and they're fantastic. They kept coming back and trying to solve the mystery and they brought their things. They're incredible. They even fixed the gutter and did not completely replace the work and so there's no leak anymore. They were on time, they're punctual and their estimate was one of the lower ones. They were great and I'm very satisfied. I trust them and they tell us the truth about a single thing. I was here watching them and they did it carefully.

After researching information on many roofing contractors, securing bids and meeting with them, we selected Tan's Quality Roofing. Our roof needed a complete teardown and there was an issue with an existing skylight that needed replacement and a possible problem that may have arisen due to a roof over another roof resulting from an addition on the home. Tan's Roofing came to our home within a couple of days after contacting them and checked out the problematic issues including the roof itself, crawlspace and skylight issues. He answered all of our questions throughly, never pressured for a commitment or contract to sign and afforded us with references. The reason for our contacting Tan's Quality was that he had done some roofing in our area and did a spectacular job. Well the roof has been completed, the skylight replaced and other issues resolved and looks FANTASTIC! The work was completed in a very timely manor and all of the crew were diligent workers, neat and clean and left the entire area perfect. They arrived each morning before 7am and their work was meticulous. This entire team has been together for years and work as a well-oiled machine. We could not be any more pleased with the entire job. They were honest, sincere and completed the job as promised.
