Everything went fantastic. They came on the appointment date and everything turned out just right. We had multiple quotes and they were the best we found.

Approximately 4 years ago after reading reviews on Angie's List, we hired Star Tuckpointing to do masonry repairs and tuckpointing on our two-story home. We were quite satisfied with their work. When I noticed in June of this year that a few bricks had fallen from our chimney, I contacted them about doing repair work in order to maintain the stability of the chimney. Peter came out on the date that worked best for me. He looked at all sides of the chimney and took pictures of the damaged bricks. This was just before the July 4 holiday and I indicated that we would be out of town for the long weekend, and he said he would give me a call after the holiday. I didn't hear back from him until receiving a call on July 19 - but with great news! He said they would repair the bricks for us as part of their warranty, and there would be no charge! He wasn't able to give me a date, but said because it was a small repair they would work it into their schedule within the next 2 months. A workman would come by our house after completion of another job nearby and would make the repairs at that time. Fast forward to Saturday, August 17. I was startled mid-morning to glance into our kitchen and notice a ladder outside the window. There was a workman wearing a Star Tuckpointing shirt, so I instantly knew he was there to fix the chimney. I went upstairs to change clothes, and intended to go outside to see if he needed anything in order to complete the repair. By the time I went outside he was gone! He couldn't have been here more than 20 minutes, but the work was done and the chimney looks great. I was surprised he didn't let us know he was going to do the work (my husband and I were both at home), but it was actually nice that he didn't bother us at all, got right down to business. Had I not seen the ladder, we'd never even have known he was there, except for the chimney being fixed. A very satisfactory performance by Star Tuckpointing!

The main contact at Star was excellent at communicating with our association. He was readily available via text message, phone, etc. He often explained more technical jargon in layman's terms. He walked through entire project with our association contact before work began to ensure expectations were managed upfront. There was a very thorough review process as part of generating a quote prior to being selected. The work was met our expectations and they were very thorough about clean-up (a local business that shares our alley said they were impressed with how clean our alley was each day after they left). We would definitely use them again.

Peter Kleszcz is a professional. He understood my concern for requesting to grind out all old motar--what I expected. He came out to job site and explained why it was not necessary, but agreed to have his workers grind out part of one side where water was seeping in basement. I was very pleased with final job. The house looks good and I am happy to recommend Star Tuckpointing.

Excellent service for brick repair of a condominium building at a most competitive price. The work involved removal of damaged bricks and installation of replacement bricks. Because this is an old building, they had to provide replacement bricks that matched in color, style and size - perfect match. Peter provided an estimate for the work during fall of 2012 and held to that price when the project was started in May 2013. Peter and Voytek kept us informed as to the start date, started work on the date scheduled and completed that week. Quality of work is excellent and we would certainly use them for any brick and masonry work in the future.

He came out and did the back and part of the sides. He basically did the parts that needed to be done. He had to spot grind out the structural cracks. He ended up replacing bricks. They replaced approximately 1000 bricks. They were very professional. They came in and got the work done on time. They did a great job. Anything, we thought needed to be redone, they came back out and redid it.

Lead time is 6 - 8 weeks, because they are busy, so I planned this project in April. I would have been fine with it being done in July or August, but they were ready in June. Star showed up exactly on time, walked me through the project verbally and completed the work, including the sealing, within 4 days. They were professional and the work is top notch. This is the 2nd time I have used Star and I would recommend them to anyone who needs good concrete work done.

From the beginning of the quote process to the completion of the job was a great experience. Each step of the process was explained to me and what would be done and when. An additional problem was discovered on the front of the building and Voytek who was overseeing the job and was my contact at Star Tuckpointing described the problem to me and gave me the options for taking care of the problems and the cost. The workers showed up on time and every day until the work was completed The workers cleaned up at the end of each day when they finished working and as one of my neighbors told me they were very respectful of her property also. Once the work was completed Voytek told me to look over everthing, call him with any questions and concerns regarding the work that Star Tuckpointing did on our building. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs tuckpointing done.

Their services went wonderful and I never had any problems with them. They were knowledgeable. I had a couple of changes on the job but the job went well.

Star rebuilt the top 3rd of my fireplace masonry chimney in 2007. They placed two cap on the 2 flues. During a Winter Wind storm (2013) one of the caps blew off and landed in the front yard. I contact Star on a Saturday and they told be that my warranty was for 3 year and we were well past. But they offered to come out and reinstall the cap when they were in the neighborhood. They said it might be a month, but their would be no charge as a previous customer. Three days later the Chimney Cap was reinstalled. Very Impressive.....

All work was completed as outlined in a very professional manner leading me to recommend to all and state that I will definitely work with again...

They did a good job. We're happy with the work. They have reasonable prices and good work.

I have found my new mason! On time, good work, and they do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. Family business is father, 2 sons and an uncle. Quality is good and they are great about discussing your building with you an educating you about causes and what the future holds. I got my estimate in Fall 2012, and was told upon receipt that work could not happen until the spring. They managed my expectations very well. Payment is 10% deposit, 40% upon start of work, 50% at end. Foreman walked me around the building after work was completed to review all elements and confirm I was satisfied. These guys get a big fat A.

Called and made an appt. with Peter for an estimate. Peter gave me a two hour window that he would be here. I had to wait by the door for two hours because my 1 month old was sleeping. Peter never showed or called.

The service was excellent. I would highly recommend them. They were extremely clean with the work and they cleaned up after themselves every night. They never complained and it was very hot. The gentleman were superb to work with and they were very trustworthy. It is a family run business as well.

Prompt response to request for an estimate. Several weeks before task could be scheduled, but very professional and satisfactory workmanship.

The service turned out great. They did a really good job. They were very attentive to me needs as I needed the color of the mortar matched and they were able to do that well. The price was also below their competitors.

Quick response to request for an estimate. Price was very competitive. I had several questions about power washing options, chemicals used, etc., in the course of the estimate process. Peter was very responsive and understanding as I asked these many questions. Very professional process for contracting and scheduling the work. The day of the work, Voytek, the foreman on the job, explained what they would be doing in detail before getting started. He is clearly very knowledgeable and was extremely professional as he walked me through how the work would go. He made himself available all day for any questions. The work was done extremely well and looks great. They threw in the patching of a couple large holes for no charge and very graciously did even the tuckpointing under the back deck. Finally, Voytek called a couple days later to make sure we were satisfied with the work and to check if we had any questions. We were very pleased with Star's service and quality workmanship from start to finish. Thanks!

Our brick garden walls had probably not been touched since they were built more than 50 years ago. We were also worried about safety issues, with new neighbors with little children playing near the walls. We hired Star first in the spring to evaluate how solid the walls were, and were reassured that they were in no danger of collapsing. We then hired them to tuckpoint and waterproof, asking them to wait until fall when the plants had died back. Peter was very cooperative about waiting until I felt comfortable aboaut the condition of the garden. They arrived on schedule, were pleasant, professional and competent, and did beautiful work. One misunderstanding was resolved promptly and generously. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The job was done in a timely and professional manor. They secured the proper permits that were needed from the city. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Called AL and the company came out to give an estimate and they did the work. The work was done well!!

Voytek estimated the work, came out and explained in detail everything they would be doing, how long it would take, etc. Rain and super-hot weather delayed them a bit up they finished within a few days of estimated time. We had their work inspected independently and Star came back to finish up correctly silvering the roof covering and installing some additional mounting screws. Overall, very satisfied with their work.

They did an excellent job. The top half portions were loose and they put a sealer on the chimney. They are reasonably priced.

I am extremely disappointed on the lack of communication in scheduling the job and meeting my expectations to perform the work in a timely and professional manner.
