The cement on the front steps had been sliding off (after having it repaired twice by other companies) so I called Star Tuckpointing. They were professional and showed up right on time on the scheduled day, and emailed the estimate to me that day. I needed this work done ASAP and they fit us in only two weeks from the day of the estimate. On the scheduled day the crew showed up on time and completed the job in less time than quoted. Our steps look great and they gave us a 3 year warranty.

Star Tuck pointing was great. Not only did they apply the sealant, but they also fixed some cracks in the masonry and pointed out a major issue with our roof that they came across while doing the work. This kind of work is weather sensitive (can't be wet outside) and the day we were supposed to have this done was on/off showers. They were on top of it and called to let us know that things would be pushed back a day. Overall, their customer service was really good.

I was generally pleased. I'd give a general overall rating of about a "B" for the overall proposal. It was a bit less than satisfactory upon completion. He did not examine the extent of the damage (ie: the top of the chimney was evaluated by looking up at it from the driveway).

Peter was very informative and helpful in figuring out the problem. Even though I didn't select him for the work. He was very professional and followed up to make sure that I was serviced. His company didn't specialize in the extensive concrete work that needed done. But was willing to do the work that his company specialized in. I would totally use Start Tuck-pointing for my future masonry needs.

Everything was wonderful. They showed up on time, did a good job, and it was reasonably priced. I plan on using them again in the future. They cleaned up after themselves, and we were just all around satisfied with the work.

It took a while to get a time scheduled, and the communication from Star was sometimes missing, but when they scheduled the work and the estimates, they arrived on time and did fine work.

Very well, they performed the work at an earlier date than promised and it looked great except for one small area that we felt needed additional "cosmetic" work. I spoke with Peter and they came right out and took care of it. I would definitely recommend them to friends.

Star Tuckpointing returned my call on the same day. Established an appointment to come to the house to give me an estimate. They arrived on time and gave me a no-nonsense estimates, three options depending on what I wanted to do. Did not pressure me to do more work then I wanted to. They explained how the deposit, etc., worked. I requested a work date as soon as possible. We established a work date that was approximately 3 weeks away. A week and a half later, they called me to see if they could do the work the next day. They, again, arrived on time. Did the work excellently, cleaned up the entire area, even removed my old TV antenna and wires. I was extremely pleased with their work and their professionalism and feel that their price is very fair. I have already recommended them to all my neighbors that have crumbling chimneys and have noticed that one of them has already hired them to fix her chimney. I truly believe you will be happy you hired Star Tuckpointing.

I was impressed from the beginning, for Peter was prompt in coming out and giving us an estimate. He took the time to walk us through the work, explaining everything to us thoroughly. As with most condo associations, we're on a budget, so he worked with us on determining which work was absolutely crucial to perform, so that we weren't wasting money. He was very easy to reach via phone or email, which I can appreciate, for my experience with other contractors is not so favorable when it comes to easy, prompt communication. The tuckpointing looks great and to date we have no moisture issues. Peter was willing to work in a good price on concrete, seeing that they were already on site for the tuckpointing. I'm glad we went with them on both, for they do excellent work and clean up after themselves fairly well. Overall, a company that does quality work, is dependable, and very trustworthy. Their price is comparable with other tuckpointing companies and they offer a 5% Angie's List Member discount!

Overall it was a good experience. The crew was professional, well organized, and finished in one day with great results. They showed up for the estimate appointment when scheduled, and scheduled the work within the agreed upon time frame. I would have no problem hiring them again.

They came out right away to provide that estimate. He was going to be late and he called me to tell me he would be late. He was very very nice and if money were not a question I would have gone with them.

All communication was straight-forward: Peter came to survey the work and provided an estimate within a couple of days. Work began within the promised timeframe (roughly 3-4 weeks after estimate). We added some projects during the course of the work being done and estimates were adjusted and work proceeded smoothly. We are satisfied with all of the work and very satisfied with the customer service experience -- calls were promptly returned and the crew manager (Voytek) was easily accessible to meet to discuss the job.

Star was 1 of 5 estimates we received for resealing our building. A girlfriend had her building repaired with Star and recommended them. Since the estimate was one of the lower ones and we had a recommendation, our condo association choose Star. They were able to get the job done quickly while battling cold and rainy weather. (The temperature had to be over 50 degrees in order to do the job.) Any concerns we had, Voytek or Peter would be out that day to look into it. The customer service was fantastic and the response time is the best I ever witnessed. The workmanship was great, the crew was considerate and never left a mess. I have nothing but great things to say about Star.

Peter came out promptly when I called to request a quote. The price was fair; not as high as some others, but not so low I was suspicious. Because it was late in the season, we scheduled the work for Spring, when it would be warmer. Peter required a deposit, but was very flexible and agreeable to the terms I asked for (I wrote into the contract that we would require a full refund should we decide not to do the work come Spring). They called to ask if they could come during a winter warm-up, then did the work promptly (over 2 days) and didn't leave any sort of mess. They were friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

Great work on that. The really impressive thing was how they worked with us on scheduling. We were renovating the attic. Star came in on a Tuesday and removed the chimney to the attic floor. Wed we had a separate plumbing contractor come in and move vent stacks. Thursday, Star came back and rebuilt the chimney. Pleasure to work with.

Excellent experience. They showed up when they said they would, they did great work (more than I was expecting), and cleaned up at the end. Everything was very clear - the contract specified exactly what the scope of the work was and how much each portion would cost. They communicated with me throughout the day about the progress of the job.

They came out to do the estimate on a Saturday, which was great, and the proposal was emailed very soon afterwards, even over the Christmas holiday. Had some sticker shock over the price, but it seems to be consistent with their projects and competitive with other companies here on Angie's List (I'm also a new homeowner. I get a lot of sticker shock). Scheduling the work was hard because of winter weather, but communication was good and we finally found a time. Most of the work was finished in less than a day, the remainder did not require me to be at home. The work looks good so far and the work site left neat and tidy for the most part. Peter and Voytek were easy to work with.

They did a great, quick job digging out the old concrete, adding the plumbing for the new drain, and then relaying new concrete. The sealant job required some follow up (the first round of sealant didn't completely take). But they returned in a timely manner and finished the job to our complete satisfaction.
