When looking for someone to do a thorough, one time cleaning I spent way too much time online searching for cleaning services with cheap prices and excellent reviews. With short notice, I emailed/called a bunch of services. STM replied quickly via email and were able to come when I would be home. STM did a spectacular job! Being nit picky when it comes to cleanliness, I couldn't have been more impressed with the job that the 2 punctual women did in a mere 2 hours. I also like that you have the option to mail in a check after the cleaning if you don't have cash or don't want to pay the credit card fee. They occasionally have specials on their website where one time cleanings are $18/hr./maid. Consequently, our severely neglected 800 sq. ft., 1bd/1ba Condo was scrubbed until it sparkled for just $72. Way better than the $200 quote I got from another cleaning service. From what I can tell, Sincerely The Maids is one of the rare services that's prompt, reliable, and provides affordable rates for outstanding cleaning.

The first cleaning, which we were charged extra for as a deep cleaning, was not performed to our satisfaction, as it was obvious that certain areas were not cleaned (floors, shower walls, etc.). We provided a list of complaints to Agnes, and she scheduled a second cleaning focusing on these areas, and we were happier with the results. We commenced with the bi-weekly cleanings, and on the second one, noticed that a freshly painted wall had been damaged during the cleaning, most likely due to carelessness or hurry when moving the vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs. They had not disclosed this damage to us, and as the walls had just been freshly painted, we were extremely frustrated with the lack of care. Agnes offered to pay for the fix, but the painters who came in to paint a few other areas offered to fix it for no additional charge, so we did not take her up on that offer. Shortly after the painting crew finished, we had another cleaning where a bookshelf somehow fell over on its own and damaged another wall. We have never had this happen while we have been home, even when the dog is rushing around the house, so I can only assume this was carelessness or hurry again. At least this time we were proactively notified. Agnes offered 3 free cleanings and to cover the cost to fix the damages, but after two incidents like this, we did not feel comfortable using their services anymore. The key was returned as requested and as we have found a new cleaning service, we will not be using Sincerely the Maids again.

It always goes very well. I always feel comfortable having them and their employees in my home. The ladies arrive on time and do an excellent job of cleaning my home. The ladies take good care of my cleaning equipment and do not waste cleaning supplies. My home always ends up very clean and I am always happy with the results. I will continue to use them and I highly recommend them.

I have had fantastic service from Sincerely the Maids and would highly recommend them to anyone. Before starting the service, the owner, Agnes, came to my house and we walked through every detail that I wanted cleaned in the house. Each service has met these standards exactly. The cleaning consists of vacuuming and polishing the wood floors, dusting top to bottom, scrubbing and disinfecting all surfaces in the bathroom, windexing glass surfaces (and windows if asked for), scrubbing baseboards, polishing stainless in the kitchen, polishing and disinfecting granite surfaces, scrubbing the stove top, microwave and sink. They also gather and take out all of the trash. I'm extremely detail oriented, and cannot say enough good things about the quality of work from Sincerely the Maids. Beyond the quality of work I have been very impressed with the responsiveness and customer service. Agnes does all the scheduling and is very flexible with timing. She is immediately responsive to my feedback and scheduling needs. Agnes and her staff are also very trustworthy and I feel comfortable having them in my home.

I felt compelled to write a review after the stellar cleaning service I experienced from Sincerely The Maids. After moving into an apartment that looked like it hadn't been cleaned it years, I needed to find a cleaning team who was up to the challenge. Agnes and her team did a fantastic job. The place was sparkling when cleaning lady was done - a hard task considering how dirty it was prior. Every little spot of the house was cleaned and scrubbed to perfection. The only thing that didn't get done was the fan, but Agnes happily sent back the next day cleaning lady to clean it and even re did our floors. Unbeatable service at an affordable price. The only cleaning company I would ever recommend!

I have never written a review on angies list but I wanted to share my experience as a frustrating waste if time and money so that others do not have to go thru what I did. Agnes was responsive to emails regarding scheduling and initial assessment. However, after seeing my home she gave me a way overinflated price estimate for cleaning my home. When I reminded her of my budget, which I had already clearly communicated, she changed her tune and offered more reasonable pricing. I had one request of the house cleaner - just one. I needed an English speaker because I have specific needs regarding how one room in my home is cleaned. I was promised it could be arranged. Day of my cleaning arrives, and a non-English speaking woman shows up for whom everything I was trying to communicate was "a problem." So frustrating. Agnes' partner said he told her about my instructions, but trust me,she had no clue. So,I had to spend my time supervising her and showing her what I could have more easily done myself. And she also didn't know how to clean. I literally almost told her to go home after an hour but I realized this was not her fault. Agnes never followed up after the appointment. I feel like I have been scammed so I just wanted to let others know.

Agnes was very quick to respond to our request for cleaning and to set up an appointment, although in terms of scheduling it took several days longer than we had hoped for her to come out to give an estimate (they do an in-person estimate no matter the nature of the job) and even longer before they were available for the actual cleaning. We made it clear we wanted a deep cleaning the first time in order to help us keep on top of regular housework, and planned to follow that with once-monthly maintenance cleanings. Agnes told me to expect the initial cleaning to last 5-6 hours. I showed her some specific areas I wanted to be cleaned, and she said no problem. The cleaning had a base cost of $175, with $20 off as a first time customer discount, for a total of $155. The night before the scheduled cleaning Agnes emailed and dropped the price to $145 for no apparent reason. I should have asked why, but I thought it sounded like a deal. Turns out I think she knew she was not scheduling us for the full 5-6 hours, as when the employee showed up she said several times she was only there for 4 hours. I didn't interfere because I thought maybe she could get it all done in 4 hours. I knew I couldn't, but that's partly why I was hiring a professional cleaning service in the first place and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. As the woman was cleaning, I tried to stay out of her way but kept noticing things that in my opinion she had skipped. Again, I didn't want to say anything in case she had a plan for going back later. At a certain point she got a call on her cell phone and although I didn't understand what she was saying I saw her looking pointedly at the specific areas in the kitchen I'd made Agnes aware of, and I believe it was Agnes on the phone telling her to make sure to do them. She finished after 4 hours and then waited in our living room for an HOUR for the driver, who she kept saying was stuck in traffic. I wanted to get on with my day but it was awkward that she was waiting for so long to be picked up. After she left I went through the house and with great disappointment saw that not only had she not cleaned the areas in the kitchen I'd wanted or gone back for the things she'd left undone, but she didn't appear to have set foot in two of the rooms which were supposed to be included in the cleaning. In two of the other bedrooms she did clean in, she only dusted in one and vacuumed in the other, but that's it. They were not clean. We decided not to use that service again. I was so disappointed that I didn't see the point of complaining to them. Since the lady had worked hard for 4 hours I also didn't feel that we necessarily got ripped off. I just think that if she'd been working for the 5 or 6 hours she was supposed to, she might have finished to my satisfaction. A month later Agnes contacted me to set up the next monthly cleaning. At that point I told her why I hadn't been satisfied and she wrote back immediately to apologize. She told me the woman was indeed supposed to stay 5 or 6 hours and she'd had previous problems with that employee. She went on to share some of the employee's personal problems that I felt were not my place to know and not her place to tell. I was embarrassed on behalf of the employee and I also wondered why, if this employee was already not working to her satisfaction, she was still in her service. Agnes offered to give us a free cleaning with a different employee. I wasn't sure who to believe at this point, the employee or Agnes, or a combination. I might have been tempted by the free cleaning but we had already decided for financial reasons that we wouldn't be able to continue hiring this company or any other, so I couldn't in good conscience accept. I appreciated the offer to make things right but I was also not impressed by how quickly she blamed everything on the employee.

Arrived in time. Very thorough cleaning. The husband and wife team who runs the operation are very polite, excellent communication. Wanted to know throughly what we like and dislike. Mentioned they will do everything to makes us satisfied and they did. I did not have to tell them to do anything, they took care of it before I could say a word. Love their service, very flexible as well. I have been using the service 5 months now and I am very pleased. When I did not like a particular maid - they provided me a new one. If some days I cannot be there they provide alternate service days. Always very responsive. Wonderful service and very professional.

Agnes responded quickly to my inquiry, and a few days later she and Konrad came and evaluated our house, even giving us some handy tips in the process. The next day she sent a quote, which seemed fair as she had come to the house to evaluate it prior to taking the job. On the scheduled day, a friendly employee came and spent 5 hours at my house cleaning from top to bottom. It has never looked nicer. The prices she provided were very fair. We will definitely be using them again.

Agnes responded to my inquiry immediately and she and Konrad scheduled a walk-through of my one-bedroom, 900 square-foot condo (two cats) before quoting me a price. I had never had a deep cleaning of the place in the 8 years I had lived there, so it needed it to say the least -- they quoted me $195 with a $20 first-time discount. Agnes was professional, courteous and responsive throughout the process. She emailed me a list of recommended cleaning products and also suggested where to get them most economically (Target). The cleaner, Dottie, showed up right on time and worked for four hours. She was quite pleasant, not judgmental about the level of dirt, and did a very thorough and efficient job. Going forward, Agnes quoted me $95 on a once-a-month basis, or $85 per visit if they clean twice monthly. There would have been an additional charge of $55 for washing interior windows (I didn't take advantage of that). I am definitely considering hiring them again -- it was a very good experience.

My entire experience with Sincerely the Maids and Agnes was excellent. After I contacted the company, Agnes came by to assess the apartment for an estimate. She was running late but emailed me several times to keep me posted on her ETA, so it was no problem for me. I received an estimate within 24 hours and found it to be very reasonable. At the time I contacted the company, I wasn't sure of the exact date for the cleaning but knew it would be before the end of the month. Agnes was very responsive to emails and was easily able to schedule me for my preferred date once I had my schedule worked out. The cleaner arrived promptly on the scheduled date, finished in the time she estimated to me, and did a wonderful job. The place had been a mess after moving out on a cold and drizzly day, but there was no sign of the mud etc that we had tracked in and out. I was extremely pleased with how clean the apartment looked. Overall, I was very happy with the responsiveness, professionalism and work done by Sincerely the Maids.

During our initial meeting I found Agnes to be very friendly and positive. I was happy to finally find a cleaning service that was within my price range. Following our initial meeting I received their price quote for the first deep cleaning of my apartment. At first I was discouraged and felt Agnes and I had some misunderstandings. However, as soon as Agnes became aware that I wasn't completely happy, she immediately remedied the situation. Agnes has been extremely professional and cares deeply about her business and ensuring her clients complete satisfaction. I have been in contact with several cleaning services in my search to find the right one for my cleaning and financial needs. I feel very lucky to have found Sincerely the Maids and would highly recommend them to anyone even considering hiring a cleaning service! It is rare to find a business nowadays where you get to speak directly with the owner and can see how passionate she is about her business, and how she puts her clients happiness above all else. Agnes and Sincerely the Maids have gone far above and beyond my expectations!! Update: On the day of the cleaning a woman from Sincerely the Maids arrived to my apartment. She was punctual, very friendly, and immediately started cleaning. In roughly three hours my apartment was clean and looking better than I had hoped! She worked very diligently and I couldn't be happier with the service I have received from Sincerely the Maids!! I am looking forward to when they come again.

They were on time and got everything cleaned in an efficient manor.

When I first contacted them, business owners Konrad and Agnes came to my home to give an estimate. They were very kind, enthusiastic about their business (and life in general), and fun to talk to. I felt the quoted rate was very reasonable: I have a large condo, a lot of "stuff" to dust and/or clean around, and a lot of pet-hair to deal with. I've also had other cleaning services in the past to use for a comparison. There have been a couple of different women who have cleaned, and they are all very nice and do a very thorough job. They have a very "can-do" attitude, are very accommodating with special requests and seem to find a way to work around any problems that arise (like when my vacuum stopped working). There have been a few times when they arrived later than expected -- but when I addressed this they were very apologetic and accommodating (they offered a free clean, which I felt was unnecessary) and remedied the problem. They provide useful advice regarding cleaning products, and are very easy to reach and communicate with via email or phone (for special requests or schedule changes).

"Sincerely the Maids" has been cleaning the front vestibule and interior stairwell of our 6 unit Condo building on the North side of Chicago for about a year and a half. The workers are pleasant, professional, and on time. Typically, a specific day of the week is routine (Tuesdays in our case) with a half hour arrival time frame scheduled a day or two ahead by Email. Cleaning is consistent, thorough, and good quality. There is some turnover in worker staff which we really haven't found to be an issue and seems not to impact the quality of service delivered. Some workers are not fluent in English. In these cases, a driver/translator usually accompanies the first visit of the new worker to provide any necessary explanation. Again, we haven't found this to be an issue in our situation. Generally, we can't really fault "Sincerely The Maids" and I gave them straight "As" for scores. I would certainly (and already have) recommended their services to others.

Contacted them through Angie's List, and got an instantaneous response from Agnes. We setup a time for her to come out to see my place before scheduling the first cleaning. They got here, walked around for 5 minutes, and that was it. A day later, Agnes e-mailed me a list of cleaning supplies and I asked to get them scheduled, and sent them availability. Agnes responded that they would confirm later in the week via e-mail. The day prior, she wrote me a note and confirmed the time. On the day of, a very nice housekeeper arrived about 20 minutes early, and immediately got to work. I showed her the supplies, and locked myself in a spare bedroom to work while she cleaned. About 3 hours later, I emerged, shocked to see the place so clean. My place is usually clean, but this was still noticeable. Was happy with the results and will schedule monthly appointment.

All went great! Communication excellent. First day heavy scrubbing and next day detailing. Post construction cleaning after kitchen remodeling and floors refinishing. I cannot be happier, Great people to work with!

Agnes and Konrad met me and looked through the whole house, then emailed me a written estimate for the move-in cleaning. Agnes also included rates for twice monthly and monthly cleanings. She also sent me a cleaning supplies list. We set up an appointment and the cleaning woman arrived right on time. She did a good job, even getting a filthy oven grate clean that I had worried I would have to replace. Once I moved in, I contacted Agnes and we set up an appointment for a regular cleaning. It went well, and Agnes contacted me to set up another appointment. It is a little difficult to communicate with the cleaning woman because she does not speak English, but she is very nice and does a good job. I appreciate the punctuality, as well as communication via email rather than phone.

They came onsite to look over the house before giving me a quote, which I liked. I received some quotes from other providers who just sent me their rate without coming to look at my home. I believe it showed a greater attention to individual needs to come out first. They send out a single cleaner per visit and in my case she stays for about six hours. It's a little hard to communicate with our cleaner because she only speaks Polish. The business owner speaks very good English however and can communicate needs or questions to the cleaner if necessary. In most cases the cleaner just goes about her business and we don't need to communicate very much. Their attention to detail is great! I was concerned that they cleaner would have difficulty doing her job because of the amount of clutter I sometimes have (two young boys will do that!) but she definitely surprised me. Not only did she do the standard cleaning stuff - floors, sinks, etc., but she also did dishes, folded clothes and tidied the kids toys. I feel the services are a little expensive but that may be my unfamiliarity with this type of service provider. Nevertheless I am quite satisfied with the service and will continue to get weekly cleanings as long as we can afford to.

Overall, the cleaning is great. The took longer than I expected but that is not something I would complain about. The only difficulty that I have had so far is that the maids speak very little English. Other than that, excellent job.

Agnes is easy to communicate with over email. Everything got setup really easily. Sophie came out to clean our house. She did an ok job but was not very detailed. It was a quick clean and not as thorough as I was expecting for the money we were paying. She did all the basic things like dusting and vacuuming but did not clean the corners of cabinets where there was dust or the grease on cabinet doors. She is a very nice lady and worked hard while she was there but I was disappointed in the quality of work. We ended up having to do a deep clean on our own so it seems pointless to have paid for a service that did not save me much.

They did a fantastic job. The house was spotless and sanitized when they left. They were so responsive and, Agnes, the owner worked with me over email to get everything set up. I couldn't have been happier with the overall experience.

I got Sincerely The Maids off of Angie's List and I use them regularly now. They're very good. They were one of the few that would do walls and windows. They did more serious cleaning that I wanted done that other companies would not do, so I've very pleased. I used them a second time and I'm going to use them again. They were quick to respond. They knew the situation I had and what I needed done. I gave them a time limit, because my husband was in the hospital and I wanted some work done quickly, before he came home. They were quite accommodating. The woman that they sent was very good. Gosh, she worked so hard, I felt guilty. I was quite pleased with her diligence.
