Samanco was great! They were efficient and very professional. They even called to see if they could start the project earlier! Dan, Jacob and Robert were great and knowledgable about the whole process. Samanco did two bathrooms for us, wrestling 100 year old fixtures and pipes and making it work for today's living. We would absolutely call them for future projects!

I had two bathrooms remodeled by Samanco. Their professional service was phenomenal showed up at my house on time cleaned up explained everything they were doing that day, the owner Dan stopped by to check the job and always informed me with any new updates or concerns. Saul was the man that made my bathrooms look like bathrooms right out of a HGTV episode.

I cannot be happier that we chose Samanco for my bathroom demo/remodel. Let me provide a bit of a backstory; our ¾ bath on our main floor – the one that would be used daily and also used by guests and visitors – had not been remodeled in approximately 15 years. In July we found that we had a hairline crack in the fiberglass shower base, and my husband and I started the process of researching companies to begin updating the house, starting with that bathroom. When I came across the Samanco listing on Angie’s List and began reading the reviews (over 200 of them) I knew I had to give them a call. After speaking with their wonderfully helpful assistant Cindi, I scheduled an appointment to meet the owner, Dan, for a consultation. During the visit I felt comfortable in the fact that Dan was very responsive to my situation and was very easy to speak with. He went out of his way to give me some great suggestions and spent as much time as I needed answering questions. We were happy with the quote provided after realizing the amount of work involved (a complete demo down to the studs and total rebuild). Mind you, it had been about 15 years since we had done anything like this and I knew I needed someone with patience, skill and most of all, desire to do the job right and make sure the customer is happy. Samanco provided us with a materials list so that I could get everything I wanted and needed prior to the start of the job. Fast forward to this writing, about a week after project completion. My husband and I could not be happier with results! The new bathroom is amazing and better than we envisioned. Dan’s crew for this project, Robert and Kamil, did a fantastic job and went above and beyond what we expected them to provide. They worked very hard to make sure that we were happy each day they were here, cleaning up each afternoon to make sure we were not inconvenienced by tools or a mess. So respectful and polite! Dan would stop by frequently to check on the progress and answer any questions; I knew I picked the right company. I was also very happy when Dan brought his wife Tommie by, she and Cindi had been such a great help with suggestions and such that we started discussions on the main floor remodel to include the kitchen! I truly never thought I would be excited by remodeling, but now I look forward to it. Samanco, you have our business for our future projects and I would not hesitate to continue to recommend you to everyone!

Went great. We live in a two-story Georgian, and this was the upstairs full bathroom that had not been updated since the house was built in the early 1950's. Did demolition that included removing the original cast-iron bathtub, lots of original pink wall and floor tile, removal of pedestal sink and medicine cabinet, etc. Dan and Tommie were very responsive and attentive in helping us figure out what we wanted and gave good suggestions that helped us decide on what we felt would work best for us. Tommie was very helpful in explaining options and made herself very available and answered my numerous questions as I do not have that much experience with this kind of a project. Mirek, the Samanco construction person who did the rehab, was great to work with. He showed up six days a week at 7am like he said he would (this is our only bathtub/shower in the house, so while we have Y membership and could take showers there, he understood the hassle and did his best to get the work done as quick as possible while ensuring quality work) , worked continuously through the day in some hot July weather and did a great job. We're very satisfied.

This was the first time working with Samanco and the team met our high expectations. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire process and Dan was always accessible and responsive. The team was punctual every day, respectful and professional, making sure to confirm even the smallest details every step of the way. The work area and home were kept very clean and the crew was also very detailed and their carpentry work was exceptional. We would definitely recommend Samanco to our friends and family!

It was a year ago that Samanco began an extensive remodeling job on our kitchen. We live in a hundred year old wood frame house in the Midway area with a kitchen that had not been updated since the 40's. In fact, we found newspapers inside the walls that were used as insulation dated from that time. Remodeling the kitchen was my wife's dream project since we bought the house in 2005. The 9' X 13' kitchen was a mix-and-match hodgepodge of counter tops, cabinets, appliances, painted paneling, and an uneven stick-on-tile floor. Samanco consulted with us on every aspect of the project and advised us professionally regarding the plumbing and electric which were a challenge in a house of this age. They provided ample samples of cabinets, and countertops. They answered countless questions about our general concerns and helped us make good choices about colors, patterns and textures of the materials we were considering. Once work began, contractors on the job were efficient, punctual, communicative and organized. The work site was thoroughly cleaned and in good order at the end of every day so we could monitor progress. We also appreciated Samanco's expertise with problem solving when unexpected challenges arose due to the age and deterioration of pipes, wiring, studs, and floor boards. We were always advised of these situations and offered a variety of remedies with an understanding of the cost. This process gave us the opportunity to make choices with confidence so the project could move forward. We've been enjoying our kitchen since its completion without a single regret about how it looks and functions. It was a pleasure working with Samanco to make our dream kitchen a reality.

We can’t say enough good things about Samanco! This was our first time doing a remodel and Dan made it so easy. Dan answered our questions in a timely manner throughout the whole process; especially when we were picking out materials and unsure of what was needed. The crew assigned to our project was great, they came every day and would double check with us on what we wanted. We couldn’t be happier with the end result and would recommend Samanco to anyone.

We worked with Samanco on our very first rehab project, our master bathroom. Needless to say we didn't know what we were doing, but Samanco did. From the moment we met Dan and Tommy we knew they were honest, professional and not at their first rodeo. We already had our materials ordered and aesthetic set in stone, but they helped us re-imagine the space and tailor it to our needs. The room looks twice the size and more than covers our dire need for storage. Their suggestions were incredibly helpful. They hire a crew of great people and keep in touch on progress. (They even worked during the polar vortex.) While the job took longer than we all thought, they were communicative and the work is top quality. We'd definitely work with them again and highly recommend anyone to take on their expertise services.

I hired Samanco to remodel a 10' x 7' full bathroom. The subfloor around and under the tub was water-damaged, spongy, squeaky and required repair/replacement. The 32 year old bathroom needed updating, brighter lighting, water-saving fixtures, and better ventilation. The work took 9 workdays and was completed 10 days ago, on budget and ahead of schedule. The quality of the work is superb, and the makeover is stunning. Owners Dan and Tommie were a pleasure to work with, and it was clear from their first assessment of our bathroom that they knew how to fix it properly. Tommie (with her practiced eye for design, lighting, and color) patiently worked with me to select cabinets, lighting and paint colors. The work was done almost exclusively by miracle worker Robert, some days assisted by Camille. They were both professional, punctual, pleasant, hard-working and neat. The work done consisted of labor and materials to: - gut out tub/shower area including soffit - remove vanity, toilet, wall cabinet, pendant lights, vent fan, vanity mirror - demo floor, remove/replace damaged subflooring - reframe tub/shower area - install Durock floor, including under bathtub - install Durock tub walls, adding cutout for 24" x 14" cubby - install (customer supplied) new tub, new tub/shower faucet set - install shut-off valves to tub supply lines - install 3 recessed LED can lights in ceiling, including one over the shower - install GFI outlet - install (customer supplied) automatic humidity-sensing vent fan - install (customer supplied) floor tile, wall tile, accent tile - install (customer supplied) baseboard and shoe molding - install (customer supplied) vanity cabinet, wall cabinet, cabinet hardware - install (customer supplied) toilet, vanity top and sink, sink faucet set - wire for and install (customer supplied) wall-mounted vanity light - reinstall existing vanity mirror - prime and paint ceiling and walls - install (customer supplied) towel rack, towel ring, TP holder, robe hooks, door stop - install (customer supplied) grab bars in shower I had to select and pay separately for all the items listed above as "customer supplied". The good thing about that is that it allowed me to control costs of the items by shopping sales, using rebates, etc. The bad is that, since I didn't already know what I wanted, the task of selecting all these products was overwhelming. I wasted more than two weeks doing on-line research and wandering around the big box stores before I called Samanco for help. Once I did that, things started to quickly fall into place. Their office administrator, Cindy, directed me to tile stores that offered design consultations. I made an appointment at Floor & Decor for a free design consultation and was able to find the floor, wall, bullnose and accent tile within an hour. Tommie came out with photos of bathroom makeovers that Samanco had done, cabinet samples and quartz samples from their recommended fabricators, and I was able to select cabinets and countertop within another hour. I did use Samanco's recommended fabricators for the semi-custom maple Shaker-style cabinets ($1,553) and the quartz countertop with undermount sink ($770) and am very happy with their quality, their price, and the quick turn-around time to get them made. The total cost of Samanco labor and supplies was approximately $9,000. The cost of "customer supplied items" totaled about $4,500. I also had my preferred roofer install a new roof vent and ducting for the new bath fan, adding another $450 cost to the project. The total cost for the remodel came to almost $14,000. The remodeled bathroom came together beautifully. I hired Samanco based on their Angie's List reviews. I am happy to add my own and highly recommend this company.

Dan and Cindy who own the company are great to work with--very responsive and helpful. Robert is my favorite of the guys they sent. I had a little trouble communicating with one or two other guys they sent, but overall pleased with the experience. I'm extremely pleased with the built in bookshelves that Robert did in my living room.

We could not have asked for a better experience with Samanco. Dan was incredibly responsive and helpful; Richard was amazing in leading the crews on-site; and the guys who showed up every day, working incredibly hard, met every expectation we had. Our two new bathrooms are beautiful, and the new wood floors are stunning--including two stairways, the entire third floor of our townhome and refinished wood on our second floor. It's hard to believe this is our house! We will absolutely hire Samanco again!

Here is another A+ from me for Samanco. Today a faucet on the top floor of my 3-flat burst and water cascaded through the building. I called Dan in a panic. He got someone to me within an hour. He’s also assured me about repairing damage done to my ceiling. What a comfort to have such a reliable contractor available to me. I did not include price info on the plumbing as it is being rolled into the ceiling repair to be done when they return for my next project. I am comfortable that it will be a reasonable expenditure for quality work.

Dan and everyone associated with his company was very professional, consistent, punctual and trustworthy. Dan was very responsive and answered all my questions and listened carefully to what we wanted and in what price range. The bathroom looks beautiful and was very well constructed. We are very happy with it and it is now our favourite room in the house! I will definitely use Samanco for our remodeling projects in the future, and any other situations that might arise in our very old house.

This remodel was a dream experience. Dan and Tommie were a pleasure to work with, responsive, enthusiastic, and a great source of ideas and recommendations. There were no cost overruns and the scope of the work was completely clear. Any questions I had were answered quickly. Dan’s workers are phenomenal. Incase you wondered where the old fashioned work ethic has gone, it is alive and well in this work team. They handled demolition, flooring, cabinets, electrical, painting, and tile work. They were prompt and often worked late. I have already planned two more jobs with Samanco.

This team did a fantastic job! Not only did they produce two beautiful bathrooms, Jerry's suggestions for quality work are unparalleled. He provided some much insight and was careful about where to spend money and where to save. Both he and Oleg were prompt, thougthful, clean, etc. It was a great experience. Dan at Samanco was also very responsive, accommodating and communicative. Will definitely call them for our next project!

Dan and his crew were very professional, as problems came up they responded quickly.my bathroom came out beautiful. Even after the job was completed they come back to fix the little things that needed adjustment. They went above and beyond to offer extra services for other little projects, like adding a failing to go down to the basement for safety as my husband and I are up in age. I most certainly recommend Samanco for any of your projects and I would use them again for my next remodel!!

Great. Dan and his wife came out listened to what we wanted done. He had great ideas for new lighting and tile design. My wife knew what colors she wanted and Dan was helpful on which colors were best with the lighting. He suggested running the bathroom vent through the new custom vanity rather than moving the vent. He gave us a list of materials and recommended locations to shop. He returned calls in a timely manner especially once construction had begun. Richard and all the workers were the best. The were early everyday waiting to start on time. They were here when they said they would be. Richard suggested keeping our iron tub and have it refinished. Once they got started the work was done quickly as scheduled, the only waiting was for the vanity and counter top which were from outside company. Dan has been great on follow up of little things that came up after completion. We decided to move the toilet paper holder and are adding an additional shower hook. No problem reaching Dan for any questions since. The price was close as estimated and worth every penny. Would highly recommend and use again. Replaced old walls around the shower and raised the ceiling over the bathtub. Added new lighting and outlets, new ventilation fan, removed a portion of the wall that extended out past the tub, installed new medicine cabinet, new custom vanity/counter top, tiled shower walls adding a niche and accent tile. Plastered, sanded and painted remaining walls. The existing bathtub was refinished and new plumbing and faucets installed. Tiled the floor. No more 70's bathroom!

Dan and Tommy were the overall best to deal with. Their knowledge and help made this process so much easier. They are very professional and down to earth people and we would recommed their company to everyone. We would rate them above a 10. Robert, what can we say. He was the one who completed our projects from start to finish. He was on time every day, had a smile and his work is perfection. Working so closley with Dan, Tommy and Robert they became part of our family. We would like to thank them all again for such an outstanding job and service

Samanco is a large company that project manages subcontractors. Overall, I am happy with results but I believe it could have been handled and managed much better. I understand that I am paying extra to have someone project manage from start to finish but I felt like at the end, it was just like I was working with the subcontractor directly while paying a premium for a project manager. Throughout the process, I grew a bit frustrated because I had to communicate with three different people, the project manager, his employee, and the subcontractor. When I asked for input, each person also told me different things and each person would become frustrated with me when I chose to go with the other ones opinion. At one point, I even received an angry phone call from one of the guys which was very unprofessional. I like to have a more hands-off approach once I communicate exactly what I want but I felt that this project was not managed very well and consumed a lot of my time repeating the same things over again. The project took a lot longer to complete and there was no explanation as to why no work was being done on some days. At the end, the project was delivered and the bathroom looks great but it took a lot more time and was more frustrating than I would like.

Dan was wonderful to work with and answered all of our questions. His team showed up on time every day, communicated the progress and work ahead, asked for our opinions and kept things clean. We are so pleased with our new bathroom and we plan to hire Samanco for all of our future home projects!

We could not be more pleased with the work we had done. Dan Gbur managed the project and answered all our questions. The work was done in a timely manner and any problems were quickly addressed. Our crew consisted of Robert who was a joy to work with. He was prompt each day and let us know what was going on. We talked each morning about how things were progressing. Our bathrooms look wonderful!

It went great. Robert was so easy to have working in our home and he did a lot of repair work to our walls and window frame. He did an excellent job. His work is beautiful and I know it was done right. Dan and Tommie could not be anymore helpful. They went above and beyond in their help and concern as to how things were going. I would use them again in a minute.

I hired Dan before for complete kitchen and bathroom remodel and laundry room upgrade. (Review dated 8/19/2015). It was time to install new front doors and upgrade related electrical on exterior porch and interior vestibule. Dan is consistently dependable. The will be completed by skilled tradesmen in a timely fashion and for a fair price. Dan is responsive to calls in a timely manner, offers expert advice when needed and is flexible when the unexpected arises as is often the case with remodels of older properties. I absolutely love the finished product. I didn't think much could be done to improve the curb appeal of a tired duplex but Dan proved me wrong. The front entry doors, porch light and lighted address plaque added new life. This will be the first winter since the property was purchased that the winter winds will not be blowing through the living room. I highly recommend Dan and Samanco Construction. My husband and I hired Samanco initially to remodel our master bath. The original bathroom was very dated and blah. Dan assigned contractors Tom and Jerry to do the remodel and they did a phenomenal job renovating the bathroom into a pristine craftsman style master bath that rivals any bathroom I have seen. They installed a heated flooring system under our new porcelain floor tile, new recessed lighting, custom bathroom cabinetry with soft close doors and drawers, and a new soaker tub. We are in love with the new bathroom. In addition, upon starting the job, they uncovered major leakage of the guest bathroom that was previously hardly used. There was severe leakage noted when the toilet was flushed or anytime the shower was used. They created a temporary fix so we could use the bathroom while our master was gutted and remodeled. Needless to say, we fixed the guest bathroom while we were at it and did a complete remodel in there as well. They installed beautiful hexagon marble cararra tile, custom shower, etc. The 2nd bathroom is amazing and actually gets used now! I can't say enough nice things about Dan, Tom and Jerry. The quotes are fair and more, importantly, the work is phenomenal! We are more than thrilled!
