SAFE Electrical Service

I called Safe Electrical. The provided a 2 hour window for the appointment. They called before they arrived to say they were on the way. The work was completed perfectly the same day I called.

The wiring in our old house was looking well past its best in a number of places and we decided to have it replaced. We also had a few smaller jobs that we wanted doing, including reorganizing the lighting in the basement and adding an outlet in one of the rooms. We got quotes from 3 different electricians, but were most impressed by Safe Electrical. Charles did a thorough inspection of the house and gave us a menu of options that were clearly presented and easy to understand. We decided to go with one of the more involved options: they would replace the wiring, clean up the basement lighting, add an outlet, remove an old clock outlet and add smoke and CO detectors to bring the building up to code. They started the work very soon after we gave the green light, and they did a fantastic job. Both Charles and Mitch were extremely professional. They arrived and left on schedule, they were very tidy - making sure that they tidied everything up at the end of each day - and the the work that they did was great. We were particularly pleased that they would plaster over the holes in our walls as that saved us from having to find another contractor to do it. They always did their best to accommodate our schedules, and had a very strong "customer first" attitude. My only criticism would be that they are definitely more expensive than their competition but this really felt like a situation where you get what you pay for - and I think that our money was well spent. We will absolutely, definitely use them for again for any future electrical work.

The service was extremely professional from start to finish. I was contacted immediately and kept informed throughout the entire process. I am VERY satisfied with the work that was done.

We just love working with Char! He is very knowledgeable and professional. I truly feel that he has our best interests at heart because he is always very honest with us. In fact, we will be calling Safe Electrical Service in the near future for a third job.

I have had Safe Electrical out twice to the house. What I like about them is that their very dependable. Their work is very professional. I would definitely hire them again.

My house was blowing fuses left and right we had to do things like turn the heat off to use the microwave. I found Charles of Safe Electrical via Angie list. Charles and Mitch are very friendly, I had a electrical upgrade done. I called Safe Electrical and Charles came out and gave me a estimate with different pricing and options. Once I was ready (about 3 months later), with no pressure from Safe Electrical Charles came and we went over all the worker that needed to be done and he came back the next day and got started. The job took two days on day one a spent the night without heat because a fuse blew. Charles said I should have called him but, I felt it was to late and I knew he would be back in the morning, so I decided to wait. The next day the job was complete Charles even fixed some extras. Two days later I decided to do some yard work and the lawn blower blew a fuse in the house. I called Charles and he came back out and installed a outlet just for the outside. I will be calling him in a month to do some other work for me. I can go on and on, I highly recommend this company. FIVE STARS

The work went great. We were very impressed at how little ceiling and wall space actually was disturbed when working within the existing areas. They were very neat while doing the work in the existing spaces and coordinated well with our other contractors while working in the new spaces.

They were responsive and followed up when I cancelled the appointment to see if I wanted to reschedule or was there anything else they could do for me.

I had originally sent a report to Angie's List saying that the light fixture did not work afterward the electrician left. I called and was told to buy a new fixture, which I did, and they would install it at no extra charge, which they did. While I was not happy with the price, I was pleased with the workmanship. Very nice and polite but I decided to use another company that gave a better price.

They came, looked things over, gave a quote. Actual cost a little under quote. Said it would take all one day and part of another. That is exactly how it went. They worked very hard and to my surprise, right through their lunch. Answered all my questions patiently and made sure I understood. The process wasn't intrusive to me. I just mostly went about my business.Everything went just as they said it would. Everything ship shape when they left.

We needed to bring some outlets up to code in a house we are selling. They were able to come out the next day after I called. They were prompt, courteous and professional.

Overall the service and experience was great! I called because I was having a problem with my circuit tripping. After explaining the problem, I scheduled an appointment. Charles completed the work in a relatively short period of time. The work was completed and I haven't had any issues since. They were very thorough and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. I am very pleased and have found MY electrician!

This was a very professional company to deal with. John Lennon came out for the appointment and put together the proposal. The price was fair and he spoke to me in a respectable manner (as a woman, this does not always happen) and answered all of my questions. The only thing that bothered me with the estimate process was that he wouldn't leave a proposal on paper, he took it back with him. I had to write down what we reviewed and it wasn't as in depth as a written estimate from the electricinan would have been. This made comparing proposals more difficult than it needed to be. However, they presented a fair price and their responsiveness to that point had been great. (Dorothy in the main office was always cheerful and helpful when I would call.) The project was supposed to take two days, but it ended up taking four days, and long days at that. (My husband likes to say our house puts up a good fight when we try to repair/upgrade it!) It didn't suprise me that Charles, the main electrician, encountered a few problems which caused the work to extend beyond their estimated number of days. Charles and his assistant (his name escapes me at the moment) were great to work with. A complete rewiring is very intrusive so it was nice having pleasant, respectful people working in my home. Plus, they both really like dogs so it was nice letting my dog (55 lb. German Sheperd) out of her crate once in awhile. They would pet her and play with her occassionally. Charles answered all of my questions throughout this process. A rewiring process is messy. They cleaned up really well after themselves. As I mentioned before, their communication style was great. They sent a thank you note after John's intial visit once the meeting was scheduled to review his pricing; they sent a confirmation note by mail restating the date Charles would start working; and finally they sent a thank you note after the project was complete. In that final note they gave me a $5 Starbucks Coffee card. This is the only contractor that we have hired (and we have hired a lot of contractors for this house) that was so attentive in this way.

They promised a specific time range, met that & had the new box wired & completed within 40 minutes.

They were excellent, they were on time and called before they came. They took care in what they were doing. They checked with me to make sure they were doing what I wanted.

Called and talked to helpful Dorothy on Wednesday had estimate and work done by Friday. Price about 300 more than other estimates bu they were knowledgeable, efficient, informational, and patient which makes it worth it all.

Charles solved my electrical problems quickly they were able to solve my problems within two days of my initial phone call. He patiently and thoroughly explained what was wrong and how he would repair the electrical problems. I found Charles to be knowledgeable and efficient and cleaned up work area when finished. I defiantly will call Safe Electric again in the future even though I thought they were a bit pricey.

We originally called on Sunday, late in the afternoon, and Dorothy promptly answered the phone. She was friendly, courteous and professional and we made an appointment for Charles and his assistant, Mitch, to come out for a free estimate on Wednesday. Charles and Mitch were also very friendly, courteous and professional. Charles not only performed the services we asked for but he also checked all of our circuit breakers and tightened them up for no charge. He installed recessed lighting in our kitchen, replaced four ceiling fixtures and installed and/or replaced 7 of our outdoor landscape lights. None of our landscape lights were working in our backyard and Char, at no charge, looked into our problem and realized a switch had been tripped so he fixed that too. He covered our kitchen completely with painters plastic so no dry wall dust would get on anything. He and Mitch were very careful to clean up completely. My husband and I have decided that Char will be our "personal" electrician for any future electrical needs. He was not the least expensive, however, his attention to detail and his professionalism certainly make up for the higher price. He was well worth every cent we paid. Even the landscape lights he installed were of the highest quality -- much better than the ones that were originally installed by someone else. If you need any electrical work done, you won't be disappointed in Char and Safe Electrical Service.

The overall experience was great. Charles was here exactly when they said he would be, he is very friendly and professional.

Charles came out to do an estimate on the work we wanted done on 4/23. He gave a very thorough estimate on several jobs we were looking to have done. Due to our budget, not their prices, we were unable to do all of it. He installed an outlet for our microwave quickly. However, there was a miscommunication on our part, and the outlet was installed in the wrong spot. Charles came out the next day and put it in the right spot. While he was there to change the outlet location, we had him provide an estimate for recessed lighting for our living room. He installed them THE SAME DAY and it made such an amazing difference in our room. Additionally, he was very communicative in regards to changes in plan. One of our lights was not going to be where we wanted it and he let us know so we could make the call. We also had him fix an outlet that hadn't worked for a long time. Rather than a simple fix, it turned out there was a break somewhere in the entire circuit. He tracked it through the outlet and two lights and found the break and fixed it. He was very professional and neat. (He wore booties to protect the floor from shoe dirt! As a mom, I love that!) And, they worked with us on the bill to spread out payments. We will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

From what I understand I should have been charged more for them to even come out. They gave me a very good price because I am a member of Angie's List. They did exactly what I asked them to do. I would definitely hire them again and certainly recommend them if any of my relatives had need for electrical service.

Safe Electrical is top notch! From beginning to end, it was some of the best customer service I have experienced. Dorothy at the office was super friendly, considerate to our schedule and seemed to honestly be excited we chose them for our project...they actually wanted our business. Charles (the electrican) was fantastic as well! He explained everything he was doing it as he was doing it and he had some great solutions for some strange problems in our old home. I never once felt as if i was being taken advantage of with Safe Electrical...in fact it was 100% the opposite. I have had some bad luck with electrical contactors over the years and it is great to know I have finally found a company I can use again and again. If you have a project you need electrical work done on...these are the folks to call.

This was my 1st time using them and I was really impressed with the service. Top rate electrician, very professional. I thought they were extremely friendly. They gave me a quote and were able to do the work the same day! I would recommend them to any one needing electrical work done!!!

The company followed up to make sure we were aware of when they were coming and if we were happy after. The work was done perfectly. We had a slight problem with the fan that was installed, but it was a problem with the remote. They came out a few days later, but called ahead to make sure we would be there. Everything works fine now. Because they weren't able to come out the first day I called they sent me a giftcard to Dunkin Donuts. I could not be any happier with this company. They cleaned up and let me know that the next time I need electrical work they will send out the same electrician. Excellent customer service from the electrician and the office staff. Their rates were what I believe to be very competitive.
