RUFINO PAINTING

Raul came out a few weeks before to give us an estimate. He didn't try to upsell us on services we didn't need. He was friendly, took a bunch of notes and a few days later we had a quote. On painting day the team came out as scheduled and did a really good job. And there were a few hiccups they had to deal with, like a paint color not exactly matching what was already on the wall, and at each point they called us, we sorted through it and everything ended well. In fact when they saw that the touch-up paint colorin the kitchen was just slightly off what was already there, after asking us if it was ok, they rolled the rest of the wall to make everything match, at their own expense. My only criticism would be that the cleanup felt kind of rushed. There were some paint specs on the floor and such but it was easily cleaned up and not a big deal. We will use Raul and his team in the future!!

They were one of 3 companies that did an estimate for us, they weren't the cheapest OR fastest - but I knew from talking with Raoul they would be the most thorough and do the best job. And they did! They worked long days to ensure the job got done on time and were extremely professional throughout... I would recommend Raoul and his team to anyone!

From start to finish the word that I would use to best describe them would be pure professionals. Raul gave me an estimate, time frame, and scope of work, and true to his word, executed his assignment far and above my expectations. Raul and his crew were prompt, prepared, and did a first class job. In fact, and I am somewhat embarrassed to say, they left my building cleaner as compared when they first arrived. With no hesitation, I would use them again and can confirm that they are an outstanding outfit.

Raul came in on a Monday after hours, gave us a clear estimate of what all work he would have to do to bring the place up to his standards, and a clear estimate of the amount of painting and time it would take. The price was a bit high for us, so he agreed to lower his price. The end result was magnificent. It looked like a different condo. All the drywall looked brand new, all the windows were fresh, and all the trim sparkled. His team finished ahead of schedule, even after having to repair more cracks in the drywall as well as repairing the water damage. All costs were clear. He left us all of the excess paint, which there wasn't much, a tribute to his ability to estimate paint needs. We plan on using him again for any remodeling needs.

Rufino did a fantastic job from start to finish. We called on Wednesday, they came out and gave an estimate on Thursday (and Raul came to the house at our convenience, which was later at night since we both work), dropped off color wheels on Friday, and started/finished the job on Saturday. Raul even picked up samples of the colors we liked best and tested them out on the wall before we picked our final choices. And the final product looks amazing! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Everyone who worked on the job was timely, professional, and seemed to really care about the finished product. Thank you!

I joined Angie's List to find reputable people to do work on our home, and the glowing reviews they've received here are as true as they get. These guys were a great experience from start to finish. Raul was a great resource from the time he came over for an estimate, to picking out proper supplies, to executing the work. The finished work is of high quality and definitely reassures me that we needed professionals to do it right. Raul's availability for questions or scheduling the work was great for my busy schedule. If I were to sum up in one word our experience with Rufino ? I?d say EXCEPTIONAL. Truly ? Raul and his team were a joy to work with. My husband and I feel like we hit the jackpot with Rufino and will consider them our go-to guys from here on out. During the bidding process, Raul came over to our house to evaluate the potential project and provide an estimate. He spent more than an hour walking from room to room, taking notes and asking questions. His attention to detail from the get-go was impressive (particularly for someone who?s type A like us) and his presence was genuine and charming (not too ?sales?y?), which put us both at ease. There?s no doubt, he was walking into a big job ? all rooms needed painting, including window trim, baseboards and crown molding and some rooms were completely bizarre (and in our minds potentially unsalvageable ? think bright blue window trim and a crackle-style painted black powder room with matching jet black door!). We were concerned that some of the wood trim and doors would need to be replaced and honestly, Raul could have recommended that and we wouldn?t have known otherwise. Instead, Raul came in with a fair and honest estimate of what it would take to clean things up and we went ahead with the project. Raul and his crew worked seamlessly with another contractor we had at the home, and in many instances, stepped up to manage the overall house renovation ? without our asking. Had we?d known this capability from the onset ? we would have hired Rufino to manage everything or pull in sub-contractors where needed. In fact, about a week in to the project, we hadn?t found the right team to do our hardwood floors and asked Raul for a recommendation. He suggested a family member who we were equally pleased with. Raul continued to manage this aspect of the project and suggested a two-tone approach for our main staircase ? which involved painting the risers and banisters. It?s the standout of the home and we?d never had thought to do it were it not for his suggestion. Being new homeowners, we had a tough time making some decisions. Raul was sensitive to this and put up samples in different parts of the home so that we could evaluate paint colors under different light and tested a handful of hardwood stains so we could see it in our actual floors as opposed to swatches. He was also incredibly responsive and returned calls within the hour. He also sent updates during the day via text message, which was helpful for my husband and I who work full-time. The team was incredibly hardworking and courteous of the surroundings. Although we hadn?t moved in while they were working, they tidied up their supplies at the end of each day and kept things orderly. We really appreciated this being the neat-freaks we are! And they all were pleasant ? we had other contractors at the house who weren?t very friendly and honestly, that?s not a great vibe to bring into a new home. The Rufino team was nice to be around and let us know they were glad to have the job. We also appreciated their attention to detail. In fact, there are only a few spots in the home they didn?t paint and you can tell which ones these are because they are clearly of lesser quality. Overall ? Rufino helped us make a house we purchased, a home we are proud to call our own. They completely changed the feel of the space and were truly wonderful to work with. I will recommend them in a heartbeat and look forward to a continued professional relationship with the team.

Excellent from start to finish.

Raul was a joy to work with from the start. He responded to every question and concern I had almost immediately. He is so professional, easy to work with and very, very hard working. Two of our bedrooms were badly in need of repair and painting. We had cracked walls, uneven ceilings, crumbling baseboards, you name it. They were both an absolute wreck. With a baby on the way, we were especially anxious to get this work completed very quickly. Raul promptly came out for an estimate and spent a good deal of time walking through the rooms, asking questions, taking notes and listening. Within a week, the work was done and it is SPECTACULAR. It's hard to believe they were ever in such disrepair because they walls are now impeccable, floor to ceiling. Raul and his team arrived early each day and ready to work. They finished on time and UNDER budget. He was an excellent communicator every step of the way and I completely trusted him to do a good job. He far exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be more pleased. I would use Rufino painting again in a heartbeat.

Raul arrived on time and was very professional. We have owned this building for 26 years and have hired many painters during those years--but we have NEVER FOUND A BETTER painter than Raul and his associates. He was very fair in his pricing, and most excellent in his profession. His crew wallboarded the kitchen and you can't see a seam anywhere! We especially appreciated the way Raul coordinated with the other person we had working on the kitchen, everthing went very smoothly!Raul sanded, and repaired the water damage to the outside door frame, and gave the door, frame, and 2 sidelites, 2 coats of varnish.It looks and feels beter than ever. He was always there when he said he would be, and he finished when he said he would. We cannot say enough good things about Raul and his crew--hire them and you won't be disappointed!!!

Very easy. Owner came out quickly to give estimate, and was able to do the job the next week. The best part was there was no mess left for me to deal with. They did a great job. I plan on using them again for a smaller job in 2 weeks.

Mr. Raul Rufino came to my home to see the work to be done and estimate the cost of performing the work. This was important and I was pleased with the visit and received an estimate by e-mail (we agreed e-mail was fine). Subsequently I had to change what would be done and he provided a revision prompt;ly. No problem and no pressure. The work I wanted done was labor intensive work rather than volume business (such as paiinting the whole. house}. Two sets of iron railings needed to be painted and one set scraped which took time because the workers did it right. I am delighted with the color and the workmanship. The entry railings to my front door never looked better. The back door railing is now sealed with paint so no more rust. A repair to the kitchen ceiling required replacing drywall and truly the ceiling looks like new, no visible indication of any repair. The area was prepped well keeping the dust and debris contained. The cleanup was very good with no detail forgotten. The bedroom wall repair was also performed so well there is absolutely no indication there ever was a problem. They repainted the entire wall and had to go for paint twice (my fault) as the first color I gave them was incorrect. This was no problem for them and they cheerfully got the right paint and continued. Mr Ruffino said his company is family run and it is true - this family gets along with one another and are very pleasant amongst each other which is a plus in doing business with them. A happy crew usually equals a happy customer which I am.

It went FANTASTIC! It is a family business and they take great pride in what they do. I called and had someone come out and give me an estimate right away. The job started right on time, and they finished in three days as promised, and even worked on Saturday They were all very professional, and extremely neat and cleaned up each night. They did an incredible job fixing the holes in the walls and ceilings and my husband was very impressed. They then followed all plaster repair with two coats of paint. They removed the wallpaper in one bedroom. They painted a bedroom, hallway, dining room and part of kitchen. They even helped me pick out paint colors and were very patient with me when I couldn't decide. They had great suggestions after listening to what I was looking for in a color. It all came out better than I even hoped for. I would highly recommend Rufino Painting if you want a high quality job done for a very reasonable price. My husband and I are very satisfied that we chose Rufino. We will most certainly use them again for the rest of our painting.. We are selling our house and they gave us great suggestions on how to fix up the house.

I'm getting my house prepared to put on the market and needed a painter. I checked Angies List and decided to call Rufino Painting.They did an excellent job. They came on time, were neat and clean and they finished the job exactly when they said they would.They even worked on Saturday, so that they could stay on schedule.It's a family run business and Raul and his brother Cesardid a great job. I would hire them again.

From setting up the initial estimate appointment through to finishing the job, Raul and his crew were amazing. Raul agreed to meet for an appt on a Saturday to provide an estimate (which was a big time saver for me!). We discussed the project, he gave some suggestions and we agreed upon a price for the service. He was also able to accommodate my schedule which was another plus. One thing I really appreciated was the fact that Raul is a very good about maintaining contact and communication. He answered emails almost immediately and left phone messages during the project when needed. As agreed upon, his crew came promptly at 730 on the morning agreed upon and immediately set to work. He had a crew of four and by the end of the first day, I would say nearly 3/4 of the project seemed completed. The second day there anticipated being finished by 11 and they were. The quality of their work is impeccable. Nice clean lines, no paint dribbles and they were very careful making sure my hardwood floors were protected. They took care when moving furniture and made sure everything was covered. When they left, everything was clean and returned to normal. In addition, I had a small corner of my living room walls which had been damaged by some prior work and priming. I still had the paint left over and Raul offered to touch up that corner as a courtesy. Not only did they do that as promised, but you can't even tell that it was a patch/repaint. The match is seamless. In short, I would hire Raul and his company again for any painting work I would need. They are extremely professional, neat, high quality workmanship, very easy to work with, and competitively priced. Raul will really work with you to ensure your satisfaction.

They completed the entire apartment by 5:00pm. Yes, the painted the entire apartment in one day! It looked amazing!!! The work was precise and they were very friendly and I would hire them again. Raul and his crew were completely professional and did excellent work. I called on a Saturday and two hours later he came over to give an estimate. It was a very reasonable price and we shceduled the work to be done on the following Wednesday. He showed up at 7:30, exactly when he said he would and wasted no time getting started. They completed the job by 3:00pm which is even earlier than they originally thought. I had asked them to touch up a few extra areas and they did with no problem, They even cleaned the old paint off glass window at no extra charge . When they left the kitchen and bathroom were cleaner than when they started. The work was precise and they were very friendly andI would hire them again. I highly recommend Raul and his crew.

Rauel and his family showed up early and worked really hard from start to finish. The walls look beautiful. The big cracks are gone and I was really pleased to see most of the imperfections are coverd. I changed My mind on the colors multipule times, not normal for me, but Rauel was very patient and made great sugestions. Overall I am very happy, my place looks great, and I would hire Rufino Painters again in a minute.
