RUFINO PAINTING

It went very well. Mr. Rufino is friendly, thorough and committed to doing a good job. If you have any questions in your mind about how you want your job done he is very happy to help you think it through. The only reason I gave the "B" on price is that his and his crew's competency comes at a price. They are not the cheapest painters around. That said, we were happy to pay it and not at all sorry to have done so.

The interior of our house hadn’t been painted for 22 years and in the last 50 years the hallway and stairwell to the second floor received only minimal attention. Raul Ruffino suggested removing the wallpaper from the hall/stairwell and the carpet from the stairs. He then guided us through paint selection and recommended someone to refinish the stairs. Raul and his family were efficient, courteous, and professional. Their part of the work was finished in 7 long days. They coordinated their work with the wood floor contractor. All large furniture was moved and covered. Every effort was made to minimize dust and spatter. They know paints and how to use them We were more than satisfied with the final result. We never imagined our house could be like one of those makeovers on TV.

Raul and his family were fabulous! They showed up on the day they said they would at 8:00 and worked till after 5:00 most days. They were on time every day and worked hard to complete the job quickly and at a very high standard. When the FHA appraiser demanded additional work they did not try to take advantage of the fact that I had to get the work done. They took on the additional work, completed it quickly and at a very fair price. I had obtained three bids and they were not the cheapest but by far the most reasonable for the outstanding work they did. Also, when they left, everything was spotless, the only way I knew they had been there was the outstanding work they had done.

Great! Raul and his team were outstanding. From the quote to the finish, they are very professional, fast, and high quality painters. He has some very hard work to do with all the fancy molding work. They delivered exactly what we wanted.

Very professional from start to finish. When I search the list, I am sometimes skeptical of providers who receive all As...I mean you can't always please everyone, right? However, this provider deserves the good marks. I had called several "A" providers before going with Rufino and some didn't bother to call back or were late for estimate appointments. An "A" doesn't always mean they are professional, in my experience. They were not the cheapest, but reasonable/fair. They were punctual and professional. I had an unexpected plumbing problem arise and had to call a plumber in. This delayed the project, but they waited patiently and finished the job that day as originally planned ! :)

Raul and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were early to arrive each day and completed the job on time and budget. They repaired and prepped walls that we had removed several layers of wallpaper. The walls were plaster. They also put one coat of paint, as we still had floor sanding to complete. Professional and good quality work. They will be our first call when we need more paint and finishing work.

Raul Ruffino and his guys sanded many layers of paint off my front stairs and painted them. The same for the iron railings. I am extremely impressed with the exemplary quality of his work and am having him paint an entire house that I recently purchased. He is one of the most honest professionals I have ever worked with. I recommend him without reservation.

I was very impressed with the job Rufino Painting did painting the interior of our house. They were able to start right away. Raul was very communicative and would call and text me regularly with updates. He and his crew were very professional and they cleaned up well before they left. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again to do another job.

Went great. Raul was very responsive by phone, email, or text. Came and gave an estimate the day after I called him and was able to schedule the work in short order.

We found Rufino Painting via Angie's List and I sent a request for information regarding the painting for our newly purchased home. Within hours I had a response from Raul advising me that they had gotten my inquiry and asking if the following day would be a good time to discuss the work. He came to the house and gave an estimate, while he was there he also explained the two main paint brands he uses and which finish in each he prefers for interior homes. He also had to work around our flooring vendor who was not timely and caused some minor delays to the painting project. The finished work is fantastic and we will be using Rufino Painting again in the future when we continue the remodel and renovation work to our home. We couldn't be happier with his service and the way our home now looks.

I contacted Raul on Tuesday for a quick turnaround patch and paint job (post plumbing repair). We met on Wednesday morning as scheduled. I told him that the project needed to happen fairly quickly because the tenants were out of the unit for a few days. He got back to me that afternoon with a quote and we scheduled the work for Thursday. Raul and two of his guys worked from 7-3 on Thursday and completed the job. They were professional, clean and did a great job in a very short amount of time. I'll definitely use them again.

It went very well. The crew of 3 finished in 3 days. The lines are perfect. No mess, no spilling to clean up. They were friendly and professional. Raul Rufino, who worked with two assistants, also advised us on which colors to use around the bar at the kitchen, noting that our old colors were accent colors, while the new scheme is in shades of grey and off-white, so following the old color scheme where it led around the corner of the bar, didn't make a lot of sense. It turned out to be excellent advice. We appreciated his initiative in painting the hallway trim basically at cost. They were prompt, arriving just before 7 AM each day, and finishing before 5 PM - I didn't really clock them on leaving, but I was pleased by their prompt arrival. Raul is intelligent and friendly, easy to talk to, quick to grasp a point. Great painter, too. In passing, he mentioned that while he doesn't paint logos and signs and such, he did realize a gigantic Cubs logo on one of the garages in our alley. I judge it a fine work of Cubby art, but he stressed that it was a one-off, more of a personal challenge than the kind of work he wants to do. Still, it attests to his skill and workmanship.

Provider was extremely helpful and accomodating in scheduling last minute work needed due to the listing of our house for sale. Work was excellent, very nice and professional workers. Price was higher than other quotes I received but decided to go with Rufino based on their ability to accomodate my schedule and Angie's List reviews. I would use them again in the future and will recommend them to others.

I observed some cracks in my living and dining room walls and was worried due to my residence being over 100 years old, and the walls are plaster, not dry wall. I was looking for a plasterer and found Rufino Painting and saw that they were an Angie's List provider with very good reviews. I called Rufino Painting and the owner himself, Raul Rufino came right out and gave me an estimate for the two interior rooms that I wanted painted. Raul was very punctual. Raul listened to what I wanted done, including some patching that I thought was needed. He stated that the cracks were not serious and explained in detail how he and his painters would fix and solve my problem. Raul explained that he was not just the sales representative, but the actual owner of the company, and one of the actual painters as well. Mr. Rufino went even further and explained to me their pre-painting process in prepping the walls, covering the floor and wood work, their clean up procedures, their guarantee policy on the work done. After talking with Mr. Rufino, he gave me an honest estimate for the work to be performed. I thought his price was not only good and fair, but great compared to others. The price quoted was not high for the work that was to be done, nor was it to low, so as to make me think Mr. Rufino was just trying to secure the job, and I would have to worry that the work was not be performed properly. Mr. Raul Rufino related to me their policy of moving furniture and covering it. Raul wrote up a contract with everything in it that we talked about. And Rufino Painting did everything just like they said they would. Mr. Raul Rufino was not only very, very professional, but also personable. A starting date and time was agreed upon, and Mr. Rufino and his painters were there on time to start the job. Not only were they professional in all manner of their actual work but their character too. They all were polite, courteous, and respectful of my residence as well as to me and my family. Mr. Rufino and the Rufino painters worked extremely efficiently. The job was completed on time (2 days) as Mr. Rufino stated, and it was beautifully done. In fact, when it came to a matter where Raul thought a particular item, technique, or color may work better, he politely asked if he could give his opinion on what may look or work better, and let me make the decision with no pressure. A VERY FAIR AND HONEST MAN, WHO RUNS A VERY FAIR AND HONEST COMAPANY, THAT DOES EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT WORK!!!!! VERY SKILLED CRAFTSMEN AT THEIR TRADE!!! Their plaster work is excellent! I will definitely use their services again and again. When you find a very good, fair, and reasonable auto mechanic, plumber, an electrician, a doctor, a dentist, you hold onto them. The Rufino team did another great job! Quick, professional. They corrected a poorly done paint job done by another company. Patched, cleaned paint from woodwork and painted walls, ceiling and trim. Also patched and painted exterior addition. I would definitely use them again.

Raul and his crew did an excellent job as usual. The rooms look as if they've been freshly painted, even thought they were just touched up in some spots. The baseboards and trim also look great. He did more than I expected and did it well. I've used before and would not hesitate to use again.

It was great! Raul came out right away and provided an estimate - the price was good for a 3 1/2 day job with 4 in the crew and the amount of work needed on old walls. Since we wanted the work done right away and they could fit us in, we requested and signed a firm proposal for the work. Raul and the crew showed up each morning promptly at 7:30am as agreed and worked until evening. They were friendly and polite and careful to cover everything and protect the home during the sanding and painting. They did a great job on the work and our downstairs now looks like new! I am so happy we finally had the work done. I found this company through Angies List and this is the second time we used Rufino's (the first was last year for painting a single room) and I plan to continue to use them in the future. Raul is a very genuine person with a great work ethic. We have had great experience with the company and I am happy to recommend them.

We had a rush job. We are moving in next week and a broken ankle prevented do it yourself. Raul gave me an estimate the next day and the job was started the next Monday. Beautiful work. Two days to finish including painting a black kitchen yellow. Very professional with a polite crew. They helped us out of a tight spot at a very reasonable price.

Made an appointment with Raul for an estimate. On the date of the appointment Raul showed up on time looked the job over and later that night sent me a proposal. Terms were agreed upon. Work began as scheduled(6:45 a.m.). Raul and his crew arrived at the same time for three days. All furniture was carefully moved and covered. All window treatments were removed. Prior to painting the ceilings and walls were washed down. After the work was completed a clean up was performed

Mr. Rufino and his two guys worked very quickly and got my project finished early. I'm very pleased.

When we first called we set up a date, Raul came over, looked at what had to be done, and gave us a ball park figure. He emailed us the estimate and we set up a date. We agreed on a starting time, which would be at 7:00am. Rufino Painters would arrive 15min before starting time everyday of the job. They worked straight through for 12 hours with the exception of a short lunch in between. We had cleared most of the obstacles in the way, but large furniture that we could not remove was covered very carefully with plastic by them. The floors were covered with paper, plastic and tape. While working they kept the dust to a minimum. They created an entry/exit portal to come in an out of certain parts of the house which included a zipper on the plastic to minimize contamination of dust and odors. They brought along fans to air out the place and a dry vac to clean up dust as they worked. When they were done with the job they made sure to clean up. All I had to do was pass a light mop to pick up fine residue of dust. He had told us that the job would take 3-4 days. He was done in 3 with more than satisfactory results. Rufino Painters were very detailed oriented. We would not hesitate to use Rufino Painters in the future and would highly recommend their service. Rufino Painters show up to the job with a very positive and professional attitude.
