They were first rate. On time, had parts available, knew what he was doing.He was in and out in less than 2 hrs.

Garage door was opening on an angle and getting stuck while going up. They came up and adjusted the springs to account for the uneven pull. They suggested a torsion spring if we wanted to invest a lot more to make sure it didn't happen again, but they were happy to just do the temporary fix we needed. Stayed longer to try to shift the mountings of the track so that it would have more clearance if the springs started to pull unevenly after more wear and tear. On time, stayed longer to make sure job was done right. Excellent work!

It's so stressful and annoying when suddenly, your electric garage door fails. Today, ours failed after pulling the car out - so the door would not close. It would come down a few inches, then the overhead light would flicker and the door would retract. We found Robert's Garage Pros on Angie's List. I called, Robbie answered, and I knew right away I was going to like doing business with him. His voice was friendly, confident, reassuring. Anyway, I explained the issue, told him where I live -- and as luck would have it, one of his service techs was going to be in my neighborhood within the hour. Jeff was there within the hour, literally fixed the problem within 30 seconds, and charged us nothing. That is what I call good, old-fashioned service. Of course we will call Robert next time our garage needs service, and we'll tell anyone we know about how responsive and fair they are.

After we figured out that it was a mechanical failure, we googled "chicago garage repair" and called 2 emergency 24/7 garage repair companies - one could not come out and one came right away. Unfortunately they charged us $300 for taking apart the door opener and leaving it in pieces (see other review I will be providing soon for that company). We then turned to Angie's List (thank you!) and they provided a list of 4 "A-rated" providers with several recent reports. We then contacted Robert's - we saw them in Yelp as well and they were also nearest to us; they agreed to come out this afternoon and it was fixed within 20 mins. We mentioned Angie's List and received a discount - can't beat that. We are now checking Angie's List for everything before we panic and call the 1st one to show up on the Google list.

The experience was an excellent one.

We had Robert?s out to give us a quote. They were quick to come out and were very nice. Then trying to get them to put things in writing was impossible. I had let them know we were planning on using them for our project and I could not get a proper quote with the right gate opener on it. I was given a price for labor verbally and then another in writing with the wrong gate opener on it. I was all ready to pay almost $3000 to have a new gate motor installed and they kept flaking out on us.

Great service - garage door wouldn't open, called them the Sunday after Christmas and had an appointment from 10-11am the next day. They called at 10:25am, surveyed the situation, advised me to not to go overboard and replace the whole unit. Done by 11am.

The experience was positive and professional. George was punctual, professional and a pure delight to have out and working on the door. Additionally they accommodated my work schedule. George arrived (as promised) at 7AM.

The experience was great - very professional. They also provided the "right" sized solution to our problem, without suggesting anything unnecessary. These people make your problems go away. Highly recommended.

Door woud not close, guiderails bent, guide rollers failing, cabling kinked, cars, bikes, and other assorted valuables exposed to potential theft. Temperature below 10 degrees, crew was onsite within two hours of calling, and charged a beyond-reasonable rate (as in, surprisingly inexpensive). Very friendly, and knowledgeable - a perfect transaction.

Found out the garage door was broken in the morning and decided to call Robert's Garage Pros in the afternoon. I was immediately able to set up an appointment for the following morning. During the phone call, I described the issue and he easily figured out how much and how long it would take to finish the job. I called two other highly rated companies on this list and coudn't get them to come out or commit to come out immediatley. The next day, they came by at the agreed upon time and quickly went to work on the door. They replaced the entire track and chain and even tightened the springs. For the amount I paid for, we definitely got a deal and quality work. I would definitely use them again - hopefully not soon though.

Our garage door wasn't working and we needed it fixed quickly. Robert's pros were able to stop by the same day we called and quickly untangle the mess of cables that had gotten completely snagged and wrapped around our garage door gears. They also made some good recommendations about further maintenance and care for our aging garage door. I would highly recommend them.

Not only did Robert's Garage Pros come out the day I called they installed a replacement the next night. Super convenient to deal with, very fair pricing, and they even tuned up the entire door, replacing some rollers that were bad and re-oiling the hinges for no extra charge. They even reprogrammed my car's garage opener for me! Wonderful to work with and very responsive - would absolutely call them again.

They were very responsive to our emergency situation. We are very pleased with their price, their work and how quickly they got the work done.

Robert and his assistant arrived during the appointed time. They handled the repairs-quickly and efficiently. They did not attempt to upsell anything and handled themselves very professionally. I would recommend them and would use them for future services.

We got a quote from Robert's over the phone initially. Then the owner came out to look at our garage and gave us a final quote. His amount was the middle amount for the 3 quotes we received, but he offered the thickest steel garage door (20 ga. versus 24 ga. and 25 ga. from the others) and he included the trim in his quote. He was also able to have guys out to install the door 2 days later. The guys (Jose and Teo) arrived on time, they were very professional, and they finished the job in less than 2 hours. The door runs well with our old garage door opener.

I have NEVER been more pleased and astonished by the speed of a service provider in an emergency. We returned home around 5:00 PM on a Saturday and heard an enormous crash as we closed our electric garage door behind us -- the spring had broken and the door could no longer be opened, not even manually. We urgently needed the use of our car early on Sunday morning, so we called Robert's Garage Pros, expecting to be told that someone MIGHT be able to come out on Sunday, but probably not until after we needed to use the car. Imagine our surprise when Rob and Ben arrived -- I am not kidding! -- within 30 minutes of our call. They were friendly, thorough and absolutely professional -- within an hour, our garage door was as good as new. Not only did they not charge us extra for our emergency call on a Saturday evening, they actually charged us slightly less than we were originally quoted. After they left we could not stop exclaiming how amazing it was that we went from the garage door breaking to being fixed in under two hours. Frankly, I'm still shaking my head. I almost wish garage door service was something I needed more regularly so I could give these guys more of my business.

Robert himself arrived within an hour of the emergency call with all the necessary parts and equipment to both assess and fix all the issues: Broken spring, defective rollers, and gear replaced; tracks realligned. Price was quite reasonable and the garage runs smoother than it has in years.

I tried closing our garage door twice but it go down about a third of the way then pop back open. Noticed that the problem was the metal coil on the spool like object on the left side of the door was tangled and off the spool. I called Robert's Garage since they had installed this door for us almost a year ago but it was after hours and I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a hold of anyone.. Their outgoing message says to leave them a message and they will return the call within 5 or 10 minutes. And they did...about 5 minutes later. I told Robbie what happened and he asked if we wanted it taken care of that night. I said yes, would appreciate it. He said they would be out in about 20 minutes and yes..about 20 minutes later..Robbie and his brother pulled up to our garage. They took a look at the problem, were able to fix it in probably around 10 or 15 minutes and were on their way. I was so relieved to know we didn't have to worry about our garage door being open all night and having to take anything out of there we didn't want possibly stolen. So very satisfied and impressed with Roberts Garage Pros excellent customer service, professionalism, responsiveness and honest good work. Hard to find that combination consistently these days. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs garage door service, repair or replacement.

Garage door broke last night; car trapped. Did Angie's List research before bed; called Robert's first thing in the morning; repairman arrived within an hour; garage door fixed an hour later. This is a very good turnaround time, I'd say. Couldn't be happier.

Excellent service!! My garage door broke down and this company came out that very day and explained every detail needed for repair and service and were just fantastic in every aspect of the service. This is the only company I will ever use to service my garage doors from this moment on!

Robbie came out initially for an estimate while I was looking to purchase the house (which had a broken garage door), then I had him to come out and bid on the garage door replacement after I bought the house. He explained all the details and pro/cons of my options and gave very honest feedbacks (no overselling whatsoever for what I need). Once he was selected, he was able to immediately schedule his crew to come out on my first availability. On the day of work, the crew did a fantastic job of taking out broken parts, putting new parts on (door, spring, eye stopper, etc), then cleaned the garage better than they had found it! All in all, professional all around and great experience.

Someone had run into my garage door and bent it in about 9inches. I wasn't sure if it would have to be replaced or could be fixed. Robbie and his partner came out to give me an estimate and indicated that it could be bent back into shape and strengthened with reinforcing bars. Additionally, I mentioned that the door had previously been having issues lifting all the way up. Robbie offered a few suggestions on how to fix that issue and the pros and cons of each one, including cost estimates. I agreed to have the services done and he was able to come back that afternoon and complete the work. Overall, I was very happy with the way Robbie understood what I needed and offered a number of options. The work was done quickly and I was very satisfied.

I totally concur with the review from August 9. At first, I was surprised by the youthfulness of the workers, but they were polite, professional, and experienced. The crew unjammed the door, installed new rollers at my request, replaced a hinge and two springs. The work was done within a couple of hours, and the warranty provided was more than I expected. I would have absolutely no reservations about hiring them again.
