Very professional, quick, and cleaned up before they left. Good value for the cost.

My car was broken into and the garage door opener taken. Robert's garage door was prompt, courteous, and reasonably priced. - $55 to make a visit and provide a replacement door opener. I would certainly use them again. However, this stolen remote story is a very common one in Chicago. If it happens to you and you are on a budget, you can buy the same replacement opener for $18 on Amazon.com. You can shut-off the electricity to your garage door opener (so the thief can't use the remote to open the door) while waiting for your new remote to arrive. Instructions to program the remote are on the internet and generally amount to pushing a button on the garage door opener once, followed by pushing a button on the new remote twice.

Robert's was excellent. Very responsive from the first call. They came out and provided a quote. I had another company come and felt most comfortable with Robert's. The owner called me back promptly everytime I called and both of the men who came out to the house were very professional, honest, friendly men. Their pricing was excellent, as well. I have already recommended them to other neighbors.

They were on time for the estimate and were able to find a panel the was very close to the type I have. The installation was fast and they adjusted the rails and put on new rollers. They put on the weather stripping around the door which was really needed. I recommend this company, they do great work .

Had asked for bid to replace new garage door. Ended up getting it from him but took some second/third emails to get info.

An installer from Robert's came on 8/31 to give me a free estimate to replace my old, decrepit and damaged garage door. I was shocked at how affordable it was. I had used another garage door company to replace my opener when it died on me about 6 years ago but when I was having problems and called them about it they were kind of nasty, so I decided to try another company to replace the door. I found Robert's on Yelp, then checked out Angie's List. I had been thinking (obsessively) about having the door replaced for about 5 years but hesitated because I thought it would be too expensive and there were other, more crucial repairs I should do. Robert's said they could come out the very next morning and replace the door. They showed up on time, were very professional, and cleaned up after themselves. I wish I had done this 5 years ago.

I called them at 8:15, they called twice to confirm they were on their way, they were here by 10. Aaron instantly new the problem gave me a great quote and I gave them the go ahead to do the work. I with all contractors were this responsive and professional. This was one of the easiest experiences I have had. Thanks to all other Angie members for the recommendation and for future garage door problem readers, call this company, they are great.

I called Robert's Garage Door to see if someone could look at our broken door that afternoon or the next morning. Jack was helpful in answering my questions and didn't promise they could get someone out that same day. I ended up using another company, but would contact Robert's again for an estimate in the future.

I had a very good experience with Robert's Garage Door and in particular with Robbie. He always answered the phone and was helpful in providing information on our issue. After talking with him I was sold because of his honesty and interest in fixing our gate. The situation with our gate, for our condos parking lot, was that the receiver was not working at times. The gate is less than a year old and the original installer was not honoring their 1yr parts and labor warranty. The receiver was so bad, we had to get w/i two feet from the antenna to get it to respond. He diagnosed it as a frequency problem and which was fixed with a new circuit board. Working with Robbie was great. I'm very pleased with their response, dedication, price and quality. I strongly recommend Robert's Garage.

We just moved in to our new home two weeks ago and woke up to a flooded basement. We still had unopened boxes, not to mention my husband's musical instruments and electronics that we need to then move to the garage. My husband accidentally closed the garage door on some shelving and broke it. We were afraid our valuables would be stolen so I got on Angie's list and called Robert's Garage Door Professionals right away. He was at my house in twenty minutes. He was quick, efficient, inexpensive and even gave us some valuable information about how to troubleshoot common problems that occur with our type of garage door. Robbie was terrific and a ray of sunshine on an absolutely horrible day. I highly recommend him!

Our garage was broken into the night before & the garage door remote was stolen. I was in a panic, thinking that the thief might come back right away. I called Robert & he came right over & changed the code & gave us 2 new remotes. He was so nice that I felt better immediately. He aslo noticed a little problem with the door itself & adjusted it right there.

I called with a problem on my garage door. Robert said he could get a technician out the same day but he asked me a few questions and then walked me through how to fix it on my own for no charge. Really appreciate his help and professionalism. Great customer service. Would not use anyone else in the future.

Several things happened which were not satisfactory: 1) Robert was the person we dealt with to discuss the contract, details about the new garage doors, and work to be performed, but he was not there during installation, which was done by 2 of his workers. Turns out that Robert ordered the wrong size top panel (6 inches too tall), and therefore the top glass panels were partly covered when the doors are closed. But he kept insisting that we, the homeowners, were responsible for having requested that size of door and therefore would have to bear the cost for ordering the correct size panels. He was even getting a bit aggressive about it. (The wrong ones were not returnable because the workers had put screws in them already.) Eventually we told him to check his emails because we had kept everything in writing (luckily for us), and he was forced to admit that the mistake was his, but not after having left a bad impression with wrong and unsupported accusations towards the client. 2) Our garage floors were not level at the time the doors were installed, and we planned to do some additional renovation work to remedy the situation. At the time, Robert stated that he would come or send someone to adjust the doors, free of charge, once the additional work had been done. Well, guess what? When we called him after the floors had been leveled, and reminded him of his earlier promise, he said he would have to charge us $25 to come and do the adjustment of the doors. We reluctantly agreed and he said he or his partner would call to confirm an appointment date in the next few days. More than a few days went by, and finally someone showed up. The first thing the person tried to do was charge us $40! We said that we had agreed on $25 with Robert, and to go check with him. After some phone calls, the person agreed to take $25. 3) After the original installation of the garage doors, we did some minor upgrade to the electrical wiring in the garage and we discovered that the workers had snapped off the ground prong of the electrical plug for the new garage door opener so that it would fit into the old outlet, in direct and clear violation of the manufacturer's instructions. We were not informed or consulted about that at the time of installation, and only found out because the power cord was being moved. Otherwise, we would have been completely unaware of what they had done. All in all, we find that there is a serious lack of professionalism on the part of pretty much every member of the team whom we had to deal with.

Very helpful and prompt good service

Called Robert's on Sunday as a tension spring on our garage door broke & we couldn't get our car out of the garage. He called back promptly and was able to send someone to get our garage door back up and running same day. FANTASTIC SERVICE & I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of this type of service.

They came out on a Sunday morning to fix it. Great service and friendly repairman. Gave an Angie's List discount and the pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend them.

Our old wooden garage door finally gave out on us. Called Roberts on Monday, the tech (John) came out to give us an estimate on Tuesday, we called back on Wednesday afternoon to green light the replacement, and the door was replaced on Thursday. They made it quick, easy and painless. It looks like they might have even replaced the sensors and the tracks too - at the very least they were cleaned to the point where they look brand new. My husband and I both work, so the fact that they were willing to come out after work for the estimate and take payment over the phone once the work was done was a huge help for us. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Did not show for the appointment when they said they were, came another time but did not with me. Waited for the quote for a a week with no avail and then called. Said they would have it by the end of last week. Still, 5 days later still no word. How they have an "A" is surprising.

One of the springs in our garage door broke. We called, Robbie answered, and was able to get there within a couple hours. He gave us a couple options on ways to fix - both were priced very fairly. We took the quicker/easier option and he was done within an hour. Couldn't have been happier...

They were at our house probably less than an hour after I called them. It was really prompt service. Their pricing was good too. We did not dislike anything about them. Our experience with them was very good.

Robbie answered my call immediately. I described my damaged door including a damaged cable system and panels that bent as a result. Robbie said he could have his guy stop by on his way home at 5:30. Aaron was on time, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and honest. Aaron tried calling 1/2 hour out. I didn't have my phone on me, but Aaron came anyway. He inspected my door, and told me that the door would be functional if he just repaired the cable. The cost would be $155. " When could you come back?" " I can do it right now." Aaron had the job done in about an hour. He installed a new pair of tension cables and greased the tracks and rollers. He offered advice on keeping it greased to keep the door functional longer. In addition, I asked him if he had a spare remote. He said he had one in his truck. That cost $40. He showed me how to reset the opener as well as the keypad if I needed to.

I called to describe my garage door that seemed to have a mind of it's own and the problems I was having ... Robert sent out one of his employees, Teo, that same day. He immediately diagnosed the issue, explained the sensors were not communicating and that they would need to be replaced. I inquired as to the possiblity of installing a keypad as well and Teo was able to do this as well. He also checked the door and motor, added lubricant and cleaned up afterwords. He was there approximatedly one hour and the total cost was $130. I couldn't be happier with the profressionalism, responsiveness, and honesty I experienced. I will definitely be using them for my future garage door needs!

They arrived on time as promised. They assessed our very old flat garage door to determine whether it could be repaired, which it could not. I received a bid to replace the door on the spot, the price of which was very fair. There was no pressure to purchase a replacement door. Their representative was very professional.
