RIVERA CONCRETE PAVING

I typically don't write reviews but was driven to do so. Our concrete walkway was laid in the spring and started crumbling in October. I contacted Rivera Concrete Paving when we noticed it. He tried stating the crumbling was there from the beginning which is interesting since we never had concrete there before. You would think there would be concern over the job he did but no. His comment was I will stop when I'm in the area...still waiting. Please don't use this company.

The driveway was done with care and professionalism. Magdiel and his team were courteous, and conscientious about the work they were doing. I was most pleased with the quality of their work.

Everyone was very professional, respectful and friendly. The work was done in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. The team was eager to help with any questions we had. The driveway looks awesome we would definitely use them again.

We hired Rivera to remove the old asphalt in our parking lot, a 3-story condo building in Chicago, and resurface so that we could improve the drainage problems we had during rain and snow storms. Although the new lot is an improvement from the former, there is still water pooling in one spot, making it difficult for some owners to access their vehicles after it rains. Furthermore, when they repainted the parking space lines, they completely botched the job, making it difficult for owners to park their vehicles appropriately. When we brought our concerns about the job to them, they told us they would not come back to fix the issues. We spent $11K for this job and expected it to be done professionally. It simply wasn’t. We understand that sometimes there are mistakes with projects like this, but to refuse to fix the problem is inexcusable. I WOULD NOT hire this company for your asphalt needs.

They did an excellent job cutting and patching the asphalt around our minestrone landscaping walls and bluestone pavers that when they end are flush with the asphalt

Showed up early. Reasonably priced. Did a great job. Done in 3 hours. Plan on using him for future projects.

I was not satisfied with the job. I contacted him twice to ask if he would fix and they never responded. There are many raised lines of tar which now hold dirt. He did not clean the driveway good enough, weeds already growing thru. The contract said he'd fill my cracks and he didn't. The end of the driveway has brush strokes of tar, as if it was drying out in the end. Very disappointing for $1000 I paid.

Beware of this company. Rivera Concrete Paving did work on my retaining wall that lays on my property line on June 3rd. That was the only day work was done. Over the next few months I was very patient and tried to be understanding. I was told they would come back on August 1st to finish but they never showed and wouldn’t respond to my inquiries. Two weeks later I was offered a partial refund since the business was being closed down. After finding the company page on Facebook I learned the closure was a lie. Both mine and my neighbors yards have been in shambles for three months. It’s been a very frustrating and stressful situation and I’m out a good chunk of money.

Very reasonable. Easy to work with. Sent pictures over text and got quote and they were out the next day. Very nice and respectful. Had trees and weeds removed, overgrown yard and front yard cut. Did a great job. Will definitely use them again and will refer them to friends!

Great communication and professionalism of the crew. We had an interesting challenge with the area I needed a slab, but his creativity with finding a solution was very helpful.

On the day of the estimate Magdiel offered to even out the asphalt leading up to the garage. He told us he would be removing some of the old asphalt. (He never did but charged me for it. That should have been my first red flag. Then I call him to see if he would come back to even it out, he agreed to meet me back at my home to correct the problem but shortly after refused. This individual is out to make money and could care less about customer satisfaction. I am beyond upset. If this is the type of individual companies you recommend then I want nothing to do with angi

It went excellently. The masonry team worked quickly, were professional, worked very safely and cleaned up very nicely. I will definitely be use this company when the time comes.
