REMODELERS SUPPLY CENTER

I've shopped around and gotten many different quotes. This company was not only the most straightforward, they had the most reasonable quotes out all of the businesses (the next lowest quote was nearly double). The work was also great, these guys were professional. Their work also comes with a 50 year warranty, so not only am I pleased with the work, but also the business themselves!

Horrible. Not only did the company not deliver materials to me but to my contractor, I have no contract with them. Under their theory of the law, a customer has to keep track of suppliers to suppliers. Insanity. The contract I do have is with my contractor. I paid the contract in full and on time. Their collections practices are apparently to threaten the customers of their customers. So if I were a contractor, I'd avoid this company like the plague. Additionally, their staff were completely unhelpful in resolving the issue.

We placed the order and we were told that there would be a 2 week wait for the sinks. One month later we started to call and were told that the sinks were being made in Italy (they were made in Germany) - then they were on a boat - next they were in NY but still had to go through customs - finally 3 weeks ago we were told that they were being put on a UPS truck the next day UPS takes 5 days not 21!

Nicer selection of sinks and toilets available in their showroom. Sales staff was friendly, available and wanted to find what was right for our needs. Gave us a good price compared to other sources.

I bought all of my bathroom fixtures for a remodel from RSC, and asked them to quote on the shower enclosure. The price was an estimate, based on the dimensions I provided over the phone. It was considerably higher (almost double) the lowest quote I received. Also, the install date was significantly longer than the 1 week promised by 2 other bidders.

Overall process was good but they were never on time.

I measured the opening myself and ordered the window. For $5 extra it arrived within a few days. The window is of good quality and arrived on time.

I'm not sure who is their target customer, but it seems that a home remodeler with a large order is not welcome. Although I have to admit their windows look cleaner and feel more solid than other vinyl window makers, they withheld detail about how their windows are made. I walked away and I'm still glad I did.

I will try to avoid this place in the future. The wait for help was too long. The paneling I got was off-color. I'm not sure if they gave me the wrong color or if the cabinet manufacturer changed the color since the cabinets were originally installed. Because they don't cut for you, I had a difficult time getting the piece home and didn't want to go to the trouble of taking it back once I discovered the color issue. Pick-up location is around the block from the showroom, is disorganized, and the wait there was also too long. Prices were much higher than expected. I also shopped around for some plumbing fixtures and hardware but didn't purchase anything else because the prices were too high.

THESE GUYS ARE A GREAT CHOICE FOR REPLACEMENT WINDOWS. THEY MANUFACTURE THEIR OWN WINDOWS ON SITE IN CHICAGO ABOVE THEIR SHOWROOM. JOHN EVANS, THEIR SALES REP, WAS VERY PROMPT IN PROVIDING AN ESTIMATE, AND WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE WHEN I VISITED THEIR SHOWROOM LATER ON. THE INSTALLATION WENT VERY SMOOTH AND QUICK. TWO WORKERS COMPLETED THE 13 WINDOWS IN ABOUT FIVE HOURS. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT AFTER I ACCEPTED THEIR ESTIMATE, THE WORKER ASSIGNED TO GET A PRECISE MEASURING ON THE WINDOWS SHOWED UP ONE SATURDAY WITHOUT EVEN CALLING. LUCKILY I WAS HOME.

I HAD THREE PEOPLE COME IN WITH ESTIMATES. THE FIRST GUY STOOD ME UP. THE SECOND GUY TOLD ME IT WOULD $1,000.00 JUST FOR THE BAY WINDOW. REMODELERS CAME IN AND DID THE ENTIRE JOB FOR $700.00! THEY MEASURE AND MAKE THE WINDOWS RIGHT HERE IN CHICAGO. THEY WERE EFFICIENT, QUICK, AND THE INSTALLATION WAS PAINLESS. THEY NEVER CAME INTO MY HOUSE! DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE IF YOU NEED WINDOWS!

I SEARCHED EVERYWHERE FOR A DECENT LOOKING SHOWER STALL FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. I FOUND THESE GUYS ONLINE AND THEY HAD A GOOD SELECTION AND A GOOD PRICE. WE PURCHASED A MAXX MANHATTAN, BRUSHED NICKEL, ROUND NEO ANGLE SHOWER STALL WITH SLIDING DOORS AND BASE FOR A LITTLE OVER $1000. IT WAS SPECIAL ORDERED SO WE DON'T KNOW HOW IT WILL BE RECEIVED YET. TILES WERE SPECIAL ORDERED ALSO.

WORK COMPLETED WAS WELL DONE, BUT THEY LEFT A MESS OF CONCRETE IN OUR GARDEN AND BROKE A LIMB OFF OF ONE OF OUR NEIGHBOR'S TREES WITH THEIR VAN. THEY DID NOT EVEN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT (UNTIL CONFRONTED) AND WE HAD TO CLEAN IT UP AND APOLOGIZE TO THE OWNER OF THE TREE! PRICE WAS GOOD, BUT ONE WORKER WAS VERY SLOPPY. I WOULD NOT LET THEM WORK ON MY HOUSE UNSUPERVISED.

NOT ALL THE LATCHES SLIDE TOGETHER PERFECTLY. YOU HAVE TO ADJUST TO CLOSE THE WINDOW.
