They just came and took at look at the windows, and we never heard from them again. The person who came was responsive and did show up when we called them. I appreciate them for that, but they did not do any work or turn up after that. We never got the estimate from them.

The estimate they gave me was $3600. They were professional, responsive and punctual.

They were good. They were referred to us by a friend. We used them for getting the quote. They didn?t do any work for us, though.

Redstone did an outstanding job. Howard is wonderful. Very responsive and knowledgeable. He was on site every day and he made sure the project ran smoothly. The workers were great, too. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend Redstone.

They did a reasonably nice job. There were a few flaws and when I called them to fix it, they refused to talk with me.

It turned out fantastic and really improved the curb appeal. Howard came by the site almost everyday to check on the progress and to touch bas with the owner to address any concerns right away. I highly recommend.

The person that came out was very polite, but I chose to not do the job because the cost was too high. My roof isn't in immediate need of repair, so I can afford to put it off. When I decide to have the roof replaced, I will consider using them.

It went very well. Howard was very responsive and Daniel, his worker, was very, very polite. The work Daniel did was excellent, and when it came to being done, he was efficient. When a little more work was needed inside, Daniel didn't like how something came out, he did it and we weren't charged even though it was slightly more work than what was proposed. I would use Redstone again in a heartbeat.

They put in new floor, cabinets, sink, foist, and painted my bathroom. The crew was very punctual, and very polite. They cleaned up every day, before they could leave for the day. The workmanship was very good, and the owner did good follow up as well.

They were great! They paid great attention to detail. They made a great finished project. They showed up on time everyday. They worked a full day of work too, which is usually not the case with contractors. Their personality, as far as customer service, was great. They stayed on task while they were working. I would give the price they charged refinishing the basement an A, but would give the price they charged for converting the family room a B.

I ended up selecting someone else, and he was really upset with me because he allowed me to use his name in the permit process, and I didn't select him.

From the beginning, Howard the owner was slow to respond to my phone calls regarding a proposal for the roof. The roof was done to our satisfaction but Howard's crew was extremely remiss in cleaning up after themselves and also for final punch list items. During the tear-off the neighbor had to ask the guys to come over to their back porch to clean up where debris with nails were landing. After nearly two weeks of work the final day on the job was rushed. I could tell Howard just wanted the job over with. The gutter guards were done improperly and part of the work on the ceiling on the inside of the house was not done at all. During the course of the job, there were other costs that came up (a brick layer was brought in, additional ceiling work was needed, as well as electrical work). These additional costs were not written down and detailed and so when the final bill was discussed there was a discrepancy. In addition, Howard wanted to be paid the final third of the total cost before the job was complete. Luckily, I got onto the roof in time to see that the gutter guards were done improperly and to tell Howard to re-do them. Then, regarding the final bill, Howard argued with me over the price. In the end, we settled on a compromise. In conclusion, I was not happy with cleaning up after the crew, having to baby-sit him to insure things were done properly on the punch list and arguing with him over the price.

Redstone and Howard did a great job. They were professional, responsive and completed the work on time. When our chimney started leaking after the project was completed after a bad rainstorm, Redstone had workers come the next day to fix the problem right away and followed-up with a call to us to make sure the problem was fixed.

Very well. They did the inside painting first, and I found that the patching was not done well, and they came back and repatched and painted to my satisfaction without any additional payment.

They were very top notch. They took a very short break to get the work done. I would recommend them and I would use them again.

What a superb job. Howard was incredibly responsive from the start and his team was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Redstone was also flexible. As we discovered things along the way, we were able to find solutions to the problem, always right within budget. We worked with a separate cabinet and countertop group and Redstone was able to use their plan effectively. They discovered a small mis-measurement in the plan as soon as the room was gutted and brought it to our attention immediately so we could adjust our cabinet plan in time. Everything was done as agreed, on time and within budget. In addition, Howard is an outstanding communicator. We often talked throughout the process and we always felt that we knew the status and upcoming milestones and schedule.

Great! We were including this as part of a kitchen remodel and Howard was able to find perfect matches for quality windows that fit the rest of the house. Howard also went far and wide to find the perfect back door according to what we wanted, even though we took some time deciding. He pulled through with very little time on door replacement and we're grateful. The end product was superb. We're delighted.

I was impressed with the initial consultation, but they never sent an estimate--despite at least one reminder call and an email. Turned out to be for the best: Another company provided an estimate and did a fine job (I'm using them for another job this week, and expect to use them again for a larger project this spring). ($10,000)

When he came out for the estimate, the owner did not impress me too much as he asked very few questions. I asked him if all of his work was done under permits and he said he didn't get permits as it wasn't a good use of his time but I could get them if I wanted to. I also told him I wanted to work with a general contractor who had a license to work in Evanston. He said he'd check into that but never called me back.

They did a great job. I was very pleased with them and the price was reasonable as well. They were hard working and answered all of our questions. The quality of their work was terrific and the quote remained the same throughout the entire project. They are really good.

The overall experience was great! There was always good communication, different crews were working every day/all day long. All of the crews were very pleasant and respectful of us living through the construction.

We arranged a meeting to discuss several rehab jobs and Howard was prompt. However, after several contacts on our part and a promise to begin the first project around a specific date on his part, nothing was done. We have not heard from Howard again. (Estimate was $3,000.)

Howard was excellent, and all of his employees were timely, friendly, and efficient. He came in exactly on estimate. He was there frequently to check on the work and supervise. We were on a tight time line and he worked with us to make sure the job was done on time. We are 100% satisfied, and we'll use Howard again in our next renovation projects.

Howard stopped by to take a look at the work we wanted to have done. It involved removing walls to expand a living room, relocate some ductwork and electrical, replacing flooring where walls existed, and construct a new closet. Howard was generally concerned about structural issues removing the wall and wasn't sure what would be required to support the structure once the walls were removed. He was abrupt and left stating he would provide me with a quote. I received nothing within 3 days and then called and asked the quote be sent to me. I did not hear back from them. Poor customer service. Obviously, this company picks and chooses what work they do.
