Successfully eliminated the blockage. Ours is a vintage 6 flat with all the issues that come with 100 year old building. Public Plumbing has been working with us on our building for many years.

I called them this morning and they said they would try to get here today and told me what to do in the meantime. A few hours later they arrived and saved the day. They were able to fix everything and gave me suggestions for the future. And the price was reasonable considering they fixed 3 pipes.

SHADY! SHADY! SHADY! This company reported me to a credit agency for work they supposedly did at an investment property of mine ten years prior. When asked why I had not received a call, email, letter, or fax in the previous ten years, the owner, Joe responded..."our bookkeeping hasn't been that great, but we're following up on stuff now." I have invoices paid in full from another plumbing company for the same work Public Plumbing claims to have done, the same month back in 2001. When I asked him why I would have had the same work replicated the following month for $2,500 by another company, they said "I don't know." BEWARE, if you have them come out and give you an estimate for work, they may report you to a credit agency 10 years later for not paying them on work they were never actually hired to do and did not do

The condo association where I lived before moving here used them fairly routinely and I got the recommendation from the building manager. There's good news and bad news. The good news is that there was a guy in particular who had done my old pace and he was just super. He was very friendly. He was there to repair my kitchen sink and he identified the problem, walked me through it, showed me what was going on and made some recommendations and fixed it. I never had a problem with it again. In fact, I had recommended him to several other friends and they all told me the same thing. In one case he talked to himself about the job and said that he knew what the problem was, but it was not a plumbing problem. He pointed out what it was and said that they needed to get a mason or whatever it was. He was great, but unfortunately he left them to go work for his father-in-law out in the suburbs somewhere. I've not used them since then, but the first time that I used them, he was the one that happened to come and he was quite good.

Public sent out a plumber to review the plumbing system in a building I was considering purchasing and wrote a report offering the highlights and the lowlights of the architecture of the existing plumbing. I have been using them for years. In fact I added them to Angieslist. I buy/ sell residential real estate and I continue to refer their services. I highly recommend.

Public Plumbing came when they said they would, finished their work in a timely manner, and were clean.

I called, they came that day and fixed the problem.

We had a mysteriously clogged toilet; it would work sometimes, and not others. The plumber from Public came out and removed the toilet, checked all of the lines, found nothing unusual, but got the toilet working again. A few hours later --- after he'd gone -- the toilet stopped working again. I called and they pulled the plumber off of another job and sent him right back to us. He spent another hour trying to figure the mystery out, concluding that the problem must be in the toilet itself. He was right! We replaced it and it has worked perfectly since then.

I called, got a response, a plumber was sent within 24 hours, work was done well and no mess was left behind, the plumber recommended I not do things that didn't need to be done and saved me money and hassle.

Fine. No problems. Came on time. Worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. We've used this company many times before. They started many years ago as a home maintenance plumbing and gravitated to new construction. They once again do home maintenance plumbing along with major projects.

We asked for Eric as he is very good. We prefer him. He does a very good job for us. We have had several jobs done with him and were very pleased with his work.

Came home from camping to find 400 gallons of sewage water in my basement on a Sunday afternoon. Public sent Eric out at 7:30am the next morning. He called to let me know he was on the way. He arrived at 8am and was done and cleaned up at 9:50am. He wrote the invoice on the spot and I paid said thanks. These guys get the first.

Arrived on time, were nice, were clean and professional. Small issue, quickly resolved, I have been referring these plumbers for a couple of years to my clients. Amount charged was the amount bid.

Their service was excellent. Eric came out that morning and worked to find the location of the broken pipe (which was in a plumbing riser).
