Description of Work: I needed a power port replaced on my laptop. It took forever to get the part in. When I suggested they order the part from Amazon, the tech looked liked I b**** slapped him. 7 days waiting on a part? Its not their fault, but they should have been a bit more forceful with their supplier.

Description of Work: I brought my computer in because of progressive problems connecting to the Internet. They explained that they were probably going to have to reinstall windows, but they'd look at purusing a number of options before doing that. It turned out that Windows re-installation was the solution, which was performed promptly. The computer still had connection problems when I got it home, but they walked me through resetting my router (again) to fix it, and everything is hunky dory. | |In this process, all my software needed to be reinstalled and my iTunes library reestablished. I needed my keycodes for certain software, and they swear that they put a text file with that information on my desktop. I saw the remnants of a keycode extractor on my hard drive, but no text file. It wasn't a problem, as I had keycodes in other places, but still, a bit sloppy.

Description of Work: I have a small and light Windows 7 laptop that I like and it's my main traveling computer. When it started acting up I did not want to replace it - just fix it. I've used Pro Computers before and like their service and prices. They are busy (because they are good) so it took a bit longer to get to my laptop, but they fixed it and it works fine. I'll use them again. |

Description of Work: Had a bad computer/disc crash and these guys helped solve it. They were smart, helpful and did a good job. As a result I used them to refresh two other computers during the same couple of iterations. I recommend them highly.

Description of Work: 2 years ago they replaced crashed hard drive and retrieved files on a computer. Recent house call to clean up 2 computers and wireless internet that were not working due to virus. Bo problems, no hassles and no extra charges. Will use again when needed.

Kenneth was kind enough to talk with me at length over the phone and answer every question I had about various models, processors, and so on. He was patient and clear. I'd definitely call him when the need arises, after I purchase a new computer!

Description of Work: First computer needed a new CD/DVD reader/burner and Windows upgrade. They suggested that I provide the software and the job was done in two days. Next computer all-in-one with burned out screen. They had issues getting a replacement, but kept me updated, called when done and did the job right the first time. Next computer netbook with browser issues. Done in one day. Pleasant, smart, professional guys.

Description of Work: My wife and I have three teenagers so it's no surprise we have five laptops in the house. Over the last few years we have used PRO Computers for virus removal on several occasions and they replaced a female plug in the back of one son's laptop. He broke the plug in socket by dropping the computer while plugged in. PRO Computer has always performed the necessary services expeditiously and for the amount agreed upon in advance. Their staff is friendly and has answered any technical questions I have posed. Nice folks, good price.

Description of Work: I had a CD stuck in the laptop drive and the eject button was useless. Pro computers fixed it at their sotrefront on Clark street in less than a day. They explained the fix in clear language. There was a loose connection to the drive so they had to open up the laptop and reconnect the wire. I got my CD back unharmed and the drive works fine now. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant.

I am always greeted kindly and everything is taking care of quickly for a good price. I had a virus on my brand new computer and they took care of everything, without having to delete any of my files.

Description of Work: My iPad, iPhone and Mac weren't syncing calendars due to inconsistent software updates. Apple, whose genius bar staff I usually love, failed to correct and actually made the issues worse, deleting some important app files. Sergey sorted it all out so that everything sync'd and my accessories started working again! Then, later, I dropped off some old external drives for them to erase, and they did that WITHOUT CHARGE. Very nice service, unexpected. I like that they have their own shop in addition to making service calls. I also like that they come in, do the work, don't chat a lot explaining things about which I don't have a clue while still being ready to explain when asked.

Description of Work: Florian is a professional -- competent and efficient....and always gets the job done most satisfactorily. He knows his stuff! We have used Pro Computers for a number of years. Whether our computer crashed (Dell 2003) or if it was a minor job that needed to be corrected we have always been satisfied. We strongly recommend! Kudos to Pro Computers!

Description of Work: Florian, the owner, is a kind man, he was even nice to my dog, 2 cats and parrot. My computer literacy is beginner, all I do is use the Internet and print. He hooked-up my new wireless printer and convinced me that my router had 'bit the bullet.' He quickly went back to his shop and sold me a better one. He is definitely o.k. to have in your place, and answer any dumb questions you might ask in a sensitive manner

Description of Work: Thought my computer was infected with virus but it turned out to be hardware related. They couldn't diagnose it in the shop but came to the house and fixed it. Also installed some othe new hardware. Florian (the owner) was very helpful.

Description of Work: Our "slooowwwww" computer was fixed up in no time. They scheduled me for a few days after I called, showed up right on time, and got right to work. Very pleasant. They reconfigured the software, added some ram & gave us some advice on how to speed up our system even more.
