Description of Work: I had a rough time with this provider. All I wanted was my garage door and porch railing stripped and re-painted. They gave a competitive price and were hired. To make a VERY long story short, they started days late, did not show up as scheduled, and NEVER worked for as many hours in a day as they said they would. In part, I feel bad b/c part of me thinks the head guy is a nice guy, but I'm going to be truthful. I was fed excuses as to why workers were not showing up to my house for days on end.....everything from sudden illnesses to recent injuries. What made this worse was that, when people didn't show up, I had to leave several messages to get someone to talk to me about it. It happened more than once. When the job was 75% done, I had to threaten non payment of last 50% of fee, in order to get a call back. A 3 day project literally took about 2 weeks. My garage (front facing) looked awful for days and days, as it sat there half stripped. The customer service was frankly terrible and I am still stunned about the lack of courtesy to call me and talk to me if there were problems causing the delays. The work itself on garage was good. HOWEVER, the heater stripper damaged the plastic edging b/c, as I was told, the didn't realize that part wasn't wood. So they had to sand and repaint that. They also slightly damaged the rubber seal around door and said they couldn't really replace that b/c it's not something sold separately. I was so ready to be done, and it wasn't something too obvious, that I just said screw it. And lastly, the rust proof, high end coating on my railing it staring to rust. Supposedly they do other work in my neighborhood, but my experience was bad, and I would never use or recommend for anything.

Description of Work: Paint the exterior of a two story English Brick style home. Tasks included extensive, and detailed, restoration of the original trim as well as removal, restoration, re-glazing, and painting of approximately 30 casement windows. An additional 35 fixed, and double-hung windows were also restored, re-glazed, and painted. Included in the job was the removal and remounting of a similar number of custom-aluminum storm-window/screen sets.
