+ 1 moreThe project was done on-time and Julio and his crew were so professional. Julio solution in the way the garage apron was replaced/built corrected the seeping of water - our garage is dry after every rainfall. Plus, the apron looks fantastic - even our neighbor's complemented on the look. Our new garage apron was built 25'x2' -8" x6" concrete, reinforced with compacted gravel and wire mesh. (NOTE: the other companies weren't using any type of reinforcements.) Concrete curve of 12'x1'x6" Patricia was the best, very personable, great with communication (follow-up phone calls, text). If you need any type of concrete project - highly recommend Perez Concrete Service. We will used Perez immediately for other project.
Description of Work: Our garage apron was cracking and crumbling in turn when it would rain the garage would flood since the apron wasn't blocking the water from seeping through. Went on-line to source out concrete services. Ended up calling about 6 companies leaving multiple messages, text etc. A few replied back after a few days stating would send someone out to give an estimate and get back. Heard nothing back from anyone...so frustrating. So, went back on-line this time Angie's list contacting a few more companies and Perez Concrete Service returned my call immediately. Explained our situation with the garage apron. Patricia Espinosa was great in communication scheduling for someone to come out view the project and give us an estimate. Within a few days, Julio came out to review the project and I explain our situation especially regarding the seeping of water after raining. Julio gave me his solution on how the apron should be built. The next day, received an estimate along with copies of insurance. Patricia follow-up. Received a few other estimates but we decided to go with Perez Concrete Service - and grateful we decided to go with Perez for our project. Reasons: Immediate response, Patricia open communication from the start to the finished project, Julio solution, and professionalism. Another key reason was it was a rainy month, Patricia scheduled the project around the weather. She even called a day before the actual schedule date to move up the project because of tentative rain. Ended up with two days of sunshine and the third day cloudy with rain. Giving the garage apron type to dry and settle.

After my initial email, Jose came over the following day to provide the quote. It was also nice dealing with their secretary, Patricia, who responded quickly to all of my emails. I also appreciated that Jose and his team saved my hostas next to the fence so that I could replant them when they were finished.
Description of Work: Our old concrete steps leading to the alley were taken down and new concrete steps were built. Jose and his team did a fantastic job and we are very happy with the results!

+ -1 moreI had several repair projects happening in succession. The start date for the concrete work kept getting delayed. Perez was very flexible and accommodating. When the date was finally set, Perez concrete started at the time and date promised. However once begun, they stopped work without explanation for several days which caused several inconveniences. The cement work was done adequately at best. However there was no attention to detail. Nooks and crannies that are created by a cement repair job were left unfilled or haphazardly finished. In addition, areas that probably should have been included in the repair, were left as is. Finally, the workers were extremely messy. They left the surrounding work area covered with cement splatters and even cement itself on many surfaces (wooden stairs, hand rails, doorways). Perez was responsive when I asked for some work to be finished to my satisfaction. In summary, my opinion is that they are a good company for basic repairs but if final appearances are important to your job, you will be disappointed.
Description of Work: Replaced old broken concrete, rebuild concrete basement steps, skim-coated stairway walls.

+ -1 moreThey began work on September 7. They came with all of the tools that they needed to do the job. As soon as the worker began, I immediately knew they were professionals. He was consistent in his work ethics, and worked to get the job done. What I like about the company Mr. Perez looked at every detail to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. They cleaned up well and came back to take out the wood used to frame the work. My neighbors came by to see the work and I gave them his phone number. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who need a professional job done. I will use him again in the near future. I have no problem with you using my name and address for customers.
Description of Work: First of all, I had 2 other estimates for the job, and was not sure that they would do the job as expected. I decided to go to Angie's List, and that's when I saw jobs similar jobs on a company called Perez Concrete Services. Mr. Perez came out and took measurements of the job and gave me a quote. I was considering for a couple days, and contracted the company.

Description of Work: I had three 3 X 5 concrete blocks replaced iny backyard. Mr. Perez, gave me an estimate on site. I accepted, his crew showed up promptly did the work, I was very happy with results. They sloped one of the slabs to make a useful ramp.

+ -1 moreerez Concrete Service was very professional, punctual, and get me updated on the progress of the project. They did not have to break up any older concrete, there was no concrete as this was part of a whole backyard rebuild. Staged the concrete job and verified with me several times on the little details, such as any curves which was appreciated. Concrete looks very professional and looks much better than another concrete job that I had completed a year ago. My only complaint would be that I had to pay for what I believe was the companies permit to work in the village I live (on top of the normal permits that are required). I felt as though this should not have been my responsibility. However, despite this small issue, I am very satisfied with the quality of work that was performed and would recommend them to anyone. I would also look to them first for any other projects that may come up in the future

While meeting with Jose, he was very thorough so I brushed off the scheduling issues.? He promised to send the bid by Monday 6/6?or Tuesday 6/7.? After not receiving anything, I sent him a message on Wednesday 6/8.? No response.? I called and left a message on Thursday 6/9, no response.? Friday 6/10, I got a text saying his truck was stolen and the info for our job was in the truck.? Now he says we should just go with someone else.? Trust me... I will!

Jose came out to see our issue within a couple of days, had the estimate ready a couple of days after that, and the work was done probably 4 days after that. They first came out and removed the original side walk on Friday 5/13, came by on Saturday 5/14 to put in the framework, poured cement Wednesday 5/18, and removed the framework on Saturday 5/21. All happened very quick and we had no issues with clean-up or anything so far. Patricia even came to my house to pick up the deposit check. I would definitely do business with Perez Concrete in the future.
Description of Work: Removed breezeway sidewalk that had settled to that it slanted into the house and the poured new concrete to create a sidewalk that slants slightly away from the house.

Description of Work: removed busted concrete around the rear of the house and the air conditioning unit. Re did the concrete with reinforced wire mesh and compacted gravel. Finish consist of concrete squares.

These courteous and extremely hard-working men got right down to business, removing the old concrete, preparing he groundwork for the concrete pour, measuring and taking great care to get it right and took the time to ask and answer any questions. They cleaned up all the debris and hauled it away. The next day they continued preparing the areas to have new concrete poured. When the concrete supplier arrived, they really kicked into gear, the teamwork was remarkable. Again, at the end of the day, they cleared up all debris and left the area clean. They returned to complete the job, checked on all their work, removed all the wood forms, filled in all the open edges with dirt, watered the sidewalks down, explained how I needed to continue to maintain the concrete, cleaned-up all debris, and finished. Absolutely beautiful results! aI highly recommend Perez Concrete Services, Inc.

+ -1 moreJose was very professional. I received a very timely response to my initial inquiry regarding service. Jose came out within a day or two to provide me with an estimate. He was courteous, punctual and quick to respond. We waited about 2 weeks before confirming with him that we wanted to move forward as we were doing our research/getting other quotes. His bid was very reasonable (we shopped around quite a bit). Once we confirmed we wanted to move forward with the work, Patricia responded quickly and lined the work up for the next week. Jose had told me it would take 3-4 days and they finished on time. The crew worked very hard - got there early and worked long days and cleaned up nicely at the end of the day. The steps look great and we've had several compliments on them already. I would definitely recommend Jose to anyone looking to get concrete work done.

+ -1 moreWithin one day, Jose arrived to give us an estimate. We asked for a split estimate so we could decide between doing part or all of the sidewalk. It was emailed to us within a few hours and the job was scheduled to be started 6 days later for the entire sidewalk as the price was reasonable. We had this company replace our front staircase last summer and were very satisfied with their work. The workers arrived exactly at 8 am as promised. The job involved removing an old sidewalk and pouring a new higher sidewalk to match a garage apron. Jose suggested gradually reducing the height so as to avoid a step or ramp near a door. His crew removed several stubborn scrub plants that had grown up between the old sidewalk and our neighbor's fence. To protect the new concrete, a temporary barrier fence was constructed. The crew was very conscientious about cleaning up and returned in a couple of days to remove the framing.
