he came to look at the job and said it was going to take at least 2 days cause there were some angle cuts. he is aremodeler doesnt he make cuts all the time then he tried to talk us into vinyl siding i said fin he asked if i knew what to get i said no he said to take a piture of the house and bring it to the store and they can let us know what we needed i really didnt feel like he wanted to do the job

Honestly it was flawless. They arrived promptly, prepped the house and had gotten through most of the punch list in one day. The final work is excellent - and we are very particular. On the second day Gil met us to review status of the work and highlight plans for completion. On the last day they checked to make sure we were pleased then they packed up, cleaned up and left everything as tidy as possible. We are officially adopting this crew for all our home improvement projects. Great work, attention to detail and great price.

Gil and his crew did an excellent job for us. They painted our entire house inside and out, repaired drywall and installed a semi-new kitchen. We have no complaints and would recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a deal with Peralta in early May for 8 hours of painting and handyman service hoping to have the work completed by May 31st. I spoke with Gil and made a tentative appointment and was told I would hear from him closer to the date. The date passed and I never heard from Gil. I called again in July to ask for a refund, but was persuaded to make another appointment. Again, I never received any confirmation and the work was never completed. Weeks later in August, I receive a call from Gil to reschedule. A date and time was confirmed, and Victor showed up promptly to complete the work. Victor was very skilled and professional, but Peralta Painting and Remodelings responsiveness leaves much to be desired. I would not recommend them.

They did a great job, were fast, efficient, and Gil was easy to work with as usual. Fence looks beautiful and it looked terrible before.

All painted walls look very good. It was easy to deal with Gil. He always answered to my emails and phone calls in a short period of time.

The employees who came out to our home were professional from start to finish and Gil was easy to communicate with. We exchanged phone calls and emails throughout the process. I was very pleased with the outcome. Not sure about the pricing relative to other firms because I didn't obtain any other estimates, but I have no regrets!

Gil and his team are the greatest. Gil has done work for us for a number of years-- everything from painting, to gutting our basement to built-ins and building a deck. Most recently we put our house on the market and my husband was out of town in the weeks prior to selling. Gil helped me get the house ready to sell. I relied heavily on him to get it done well and quickly. I truly couldn't have put the house on the market without Gil's help and it sold in six days! The bottom line is that Gil is a great craftsman who pays attention to the details. His guys work hard and they're always very polite. I'd hire him in an instant!

Overall this service experience was fair. The most difficult part of the experience was getting schedules aligned and agreed upon. Once a quote was provided to me for all the work I was looking to have done, I sent over a list of about 6 dates for scheduling. Gil the contractor stated he thought most of those would work and would let me know the exact date. The first few dates I had listed came and went with no communication. The next date I had listed was a Saturday. On Friday at around 8 PM Gil sent a message asking if they could come in the morning at 8 AM to start the work. I was out of town for the weekend as I had not heard anything since my original list of dates was sent so I said no they could not. I then provided an updated list for dates in mid August. I travel for work and have to have firm appointments in order to manage all the scheduling. Again the response was they would let me know when it got closer. Well, on the Wednesday prior to the week I was looking to complete the project the date could not be confirmed. I stated that I needed to know by Thursday if we could begin on the following Monday. The answer was yes. No other details were provided about how many people to expect, what projects would be worked on first, and if I needed to clear out or move anything. Come Monday, 4 workers show up and they are expecting to do all the painting, repairs, and clean up within 1-2 days. This would have been fine-had I known this was the expectation. Living in a 1 bedroom condo, we would have had to move all furniture in the bedroom, clear out the downstairs area, and remove everything from the walls in order to achieve these repairs all at once. This was just not possible with the amount of space and also the fact that this was not communicated to me prior to work beginning. So on the first day general repairs of tiling, replacing the lighting, and trim pieces was worked on. Painting began the following week and took 4 days. Overall the work was good, but communication and booking time in advance was very difficult. Also, the actual work done differed from what was on the original quote but the pricing was not adjusted-up or down. Hours worked were less than quoted but the price remained the same, and the contractor was firm on this. I expected more based on the reviews from Angies List. I feel I could have found similar quality work with better communication & organization between both parties on my own.

We received a quote from Gil and decided to give him the contract. Originally we were just having the painting done, but asked for quotes also for the drywall in the garage, panelling and celling tiles in the Florida room. All quotes seemed reasonable. Gil sent four men to do the painting the first day. They did a very good job, even to the point of cleaning up after us as well as themselves. We decided to have them do all the rest of the work. This was the best decision we could have made. They did a very good job. His men were professional and polite. The painting looks great. The Florida room and garage came out very nicely. We asked Gil to give us a price to have one of his men come back the next week for additional small things. Even the small things he did were done well. My house looks so much better. We would definitely recommend Gil and his men for any painting or handyman job you may have.

I consider myself quite persnickety when it comes to my home, because I like things done in a specific way, have very high standards, like to keep everything very clean and organized, and really rely on strict time schedules due to our family's busy and hectic life! So far, I could not be HAPPIER with Peralta painting! I was on a very tight time frame and schedule as we closed on a home, were moving into it 2 days later, and expecting a baby a week after that! I had a very specific and tall order and had received quotes from several different painters I found on Angies list. I was looking for several important factors: cost, responsiveness, quality, and timing. From the beginning, the cost and responsiveness and several positive reviews through Angies List were what made me ultimately choose to go with Peralta paint over the others, even though I could not know what the quality and punctuality and efficiency would be like until the project was started. I am SO incredibly happy I went with them! Being due to have my 2nd baby a week after the paint job I was very anxious about getting the paint done, having it look great, and keeping my new home neat and organized. Not only was the Peralta crew punctual everyday, they completed all the painting so quickly and efficiently! They finished the bedrooms in 1 day so that we could have our furniture moved in the next, they professionally and beautifully painted the tall and overwhelming built in shelving of our living room, and the quality of the paint job and details are just perfect! We love how straight all the edges are and how clean they left everything each day. All of our furniture, floors, and other edges were properly covered and protected to keep the job as clean as possible. We are so pleased with the paint job and how quick, efficient, professional, and respectful the crew was. We look forward to several other paint projects to complete such as staining our wood floors, adding crown molding, and possibly bathroom remodeling. We will definitely be calling Peralta for future paint projects, and I HIGHLY recommend you do too! We will update with the other projects and remodeling experience when applicable! Gil and his crew are so kind and respectful and accommodating to everything they really make the whole experience easy! I will be personally referring them to all of my friends looking to complete paint projects, and I hardly ever do that, so it is a testimony to how happy my family and I are with them! I was pleased with their work. They worked very hard, their cleaned up was exceptional, we had a few bumps early on but once they understood what are our expectations were, from then on it was perfect and very nice.

I did not go with them to paint my small 1 bedroom condo because I found them a bit expensive, however they were very professional and quick with replies.

It went great. They applied two coats of stain on the deck and pergola and paint on the steel stairs (most companies only did one). They appeared to really go the extra mile and along the way were interested if we were happy. Gil called me everyday while we were working and spoke to me in person every day to update me on where they were at and what they would do the next day. They were fast. They made an 8 year old deck that had NEVER been protected or maintained and a sagging pergola look absolutely beautiful and professional! I got much more than I expected.I would recommend anyone working with Gil.

He has painted our entire condo and did some tile work for us as well. He has been very helpful to us and even put is in contact with an electrician. We have also asked him to quote other jobs for us. We feel like we have a good relationship with him. Also, one day we called him up and asked him to drive out to Rockford for a quote and he went out that very same day. He is always quick to answer phone calls and emails. He has been absolutely wonderful.

FIRST, whoever heard of a contractor coming EARLIER than expected???? Well, welcome to working with Gil and Peralta! They prepared the spaces BEAUTIFULLY and helped us move things as needed. He and his staff were very courteous from start to finish. They are extremely clean and neat at ALL times (e.g., covering things, moving their equipment carefully). They are also very efficient. Clearly, the work was very planned out and the number of people who came each day was just perfect for getting the job done. The deck took 2.5 days (the weather totally cooperated). For the deck, first they did light carpentry and fixed boards. They then washed and sanded before staining a few coats. Then all was sealed. Two days later they came at 8 a.m. Saturday - yes, Saturday - and finished the work in ONE DAY. That included putting in a new wood post, dry walling and then priming and painting. Throughout the work, they were EXTREMELY neat. We very highly recommend Peralta!

They came to the house to look at the issue with the rotted Facia on the exterior of the house and paint the exterior. He said he would send me a quote via email. I sent him my email address via text a few days later after his visit. He then called a week later asking what I thought of the of the quote he emailed. I told him I never received and asked if he could confirm the email address he sent it to. He responded and said he was not in front of his computer but would call me back either that evening or the next day. To this day I have not received a call or an email from him.

This was the second time I have hired Gil, and I would happily hire him again. After I contacted him to paint the bathrooms, Gil came out to take a look and give us an estimate. Then I picked out the colors and we scheduled the painting. It took two days, because of the stripes I wanted painted in the bathroom. The first day, Gil had two men painting, and the second, there was one. All three were very professional, neat, and did a nice job with the work. A few days later when we noticed bubbles on the master ceiling that had just been painted, we contacted Gil who fixed it for free...even though it was likely a drywall and not a paint issue. I would definitely hire Gil again and have recommended him to others.

Gil and his team first painted our entry, living room and dining room. The results are excellent. After removing some wallpaper they found some weak plaster and holes that required us to drywall over the to ensure we didn't get cracking in the plaster at a later date. the drywalling looked great and I thought he was fair with the extra cost of drywalling work. The painting also was perfect. Gil also helped remodel our 1/2 bath by drywalling and tiling the floor, again good results. notes: After the first coat of paint, we noticed that it was the wrong color (the paint store didn't match the color properly). Gil was willing to get new paint and do it over, no extra cost. Gil and team also came back to paint the trim because it had to be reinstalled after the drywalling, they caulked and painted the trim and touched up the walls that had previously been painted. looks super crisp. We created a punchlist for Gil and he had no problem addressing the small fixes. Gil and his team were friendly, always on time and Gil is very very response and willing to address concerns

They were great! They gave me an estimate and did a great job with our living room. They moved all of my furniture and heavy pictures. They came back the next day to put up blinds and were very considerate.

Gil was in contact with me right away, came out and gave me an estimate and arranged to have the condo completed so I could move in on time.

t Gil was selected based on the reviews that we read on Angies list. Gil and team did a great job ...they were professional, very knowledgeable and completed the work before time. The entire crew did an outstanding work and also made sure that cleaning was done at the end of each day. Gil managed his crew very well...he increased the team size when required. Pricing is probably a bit on the higher side :-) but I don't mind paying for quality. Frankly we did not have much to worry about during the course of work. In our project I would say Gil was more of a partner than a contractor. Would use him again.
