They arrived on time and did a very precise and professional job.

Gil has done alot of work on my home and previous home. The latest project was some exterior painting (same colors just scraping and repainting) and restaining my deck. He first power washed and sanded after than applied two coats of solid stain. Looks awesome! Very happy as usual with Gil and his crew.

We are getting ready to sell our condo and we needed to do some minor repairs, including repainting the condo,before placing it on the market. We solicited four bids and Peralta's bid was the most competitive. Moreover, Mr. Gill Peralta, the owner, personally came out to view our condo and drew up an appropriate work order. Mr. Peralta is very friendly and provided a reasonable quote for his services. Given the size of the job, it took a week or so to complete. His employees arrived usually around 8 and are there till 430. We felt comfortable enough around them such that we simply let them in and we went to work while his employees were working at our condo. We'll definitely reach out to Mr. Peralta for future services.

Gil and his painters did a very good job for my mother. He responded immediately to my call and was able to do the work right away. She has a two bedroom condo in the city and painted all the walls pink and peach! They painted the walls and ceilings and did quite a bit of patching and it looks very nice. They actually completed the job ahead of schedule!

Great service. They show up on time. They protect and clean real well. Gil's attention to quality and craftsmanship is a rare commodity these days.

Arrived exactly on time for the quote. Delivered a detailed proposal the next day. Completed the job a week or so later.

The job went very well. The team came out along with Gil the Proprietor. Gil reviewed the project, observed the set up from a distance. He team of painters were great, very courteous, knowledgeable, and well experienced. When he notice any discrepancy or something I didn't notice he politely explained it out made his suggestions and I took it from there, in all cases the suggestion he made has an beautiful out come. They had to go up at lest feet maybe even more to prime and paint around a 2200+sq ft roof. The placed their drop cloths accordingly and didn't drop one drop of paint, extremely neat. Though I understood Gil had to move around to other sites, He did come on a couple of occasions while his team worked and observed from on top of his truck, closely observing making recommendations. I really felt reassured that I would be thoroughly pleased with the job upon completion. They cleaned up all the debris and everything looked absolutely beautiful. Believe me my neighbors watch every brush stroke and a couple even inquired with Gil about having some painting done. The piece of missing aluminum siding which was hard to locate because it was an older type of siding, Gil was able to replace that piece with a piece of wood which blended in well when painted beautifully unrecognizable difference. His carpenter dug out all the rotten bent beam of window sill and replace and painted it and it looks very professional and that little beam made

I liked them a lot. I liked working with them. They did a lot of different projects for me, so that was really good.

I have used this company in the past (previous year -- and name was Castillo Painting -- but still same owner, etc) and because of their exceptional work, I decided that it would be best to call them to come back. The owner, Gil Peralta, is a great guy. He and his team are very honest, work very hard, and do great work. I called him about a week prior to their work to see what the chances were of getting them to come on short term notice. Of course they were able to accommodate me and brought 3 guys to come which allowed them to finish the work in one day. As before, outstanding results.

We were very happy with the results. We have used them on two other occasions for painting.

Everything was on time and in budget. The deck looks amazing now. Everyone was on time every day of the project and worked professionally. You really couldn't ask for anything more.

Overall it went very well and I would gladly have the Peralta team back for more work ... and would sincerely recommend them. Over the years, I have had a couple homes built for myself and have renovated about 10 additional homes, so I feel as though I have a reasonable perspective in terms of what constitutes a decent contractor experience.

I scheduled an appointment for a quote, and they promptly sent someone over the next day. The quote was a little more than I was hoping for, but I decided to hire them anyway because I would rather overpay and have the job done right, then underpay and have to the paint job redone. They completed the project on time and as exactly as I had requested.

Gil (owner of Castillo painting) is a younger guy, mid-late 20's who runs his own painting business which consists of two crews that he is able to regularly find work for. The guy works hard at his business and cares about producing a quality finished product. I chose him as a candidate due to his positive Angie's List reviews and I'd say that others experience reflect my own. I got quotes from 3 contractors. After getting Gil's quote there was a part of me that was rooting for him. He is younger, hungry, and gives a d***. Gil and his workers (a combination of 3 guys in my a case) are professionals. His crew showed up each day at 8 AM and immediately got to work. Put simply the paint job and new doors looked great. During the project Gil did a couple things that I liked: 1) I mentioned to him that my pregnant wife was going to move out for the week while they were painting. He suggested that if we were worried about the fumes that we should use "green" paint. 2) I got a text from him one day while I was at work stating that they weren't happy with the appearance of the paint job in one room and wanted to apply another coat. I saw the same paint job they were referring to and thought it looked great. That said, he wasn't satisfied with it and wanted to apply another coat - demonstrating to me that he cared about producing a quality product. Since I was going to be at work the entire week they were working I had to give them keys and leave them alone in my place. As week went along I felt more and more at ease with that approach. Everything was always where I left it and nothing went missing. I'd trust him and his team in the future. I gave Gil a "B"on price. I think we negotiated a fair price. I suspect I could've bargained him down more but I'd chalk it up to me being a poor negotiator. With Gil I got a great paint job, learned that he/his crew care about their workmanship, and found that they can be trusted to be left alone. I have no regrets. Job well done. If you're considering Gil I'd definitely throw him in the mix of contractors to get a quote from and if you choose him I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

We asked for an estimate and Gil responded very quickly. He was quick with the four add ons that I needed to see completed. Sergio who completed the detail work, painted our light fixture on the front porch as well as the door stop. This work was accomplished in November and required a very cautious view of weather. Gil and crew arrived on time and carefully kept the area clean. My husband picks up garbage on our corner of Chicago and found no cigarette butts left by the workers. To that extent they were very clean. The house had to be pressure washed first to clear the grime and it was finished quickly. We coordinated with Forest Park Stucco to repair the walls of the house in places. Gil responded very quickly tot the carpentry needs when the stucco people were here. We were very satisfied with the work and the price and the quality.

The experience with Castillo Painting was incredible; They were our cheapest estimate by far and the quality of work is unmatched. Other estimates came in at double to cost. The painting of the walls, ceiling, trim and doors is flawless and they kept a clean/neat work space and cleaned up when they were done. We were looking to switch up the color of our main living space and we could not be happier with the result, our place looks brand new! We'd for sure use Castillo again if we need any painting done in the future.

This is the second time I have used Castillo Painting and I highly recommend them. Gil and his team are punctual, clean and do an excellent job. Gil was able to work around a time constraint as we were rushing to paint our home prior to listing it for sale. Gil and his team were able to meet our deadline and our home now looks, "like new." Our job spanned a weekend and Gil's team even moved their tools / brushes / drop cloths to our garage so we wouldn't be burdened by the sight of their neatly packed gear--a nice touch indeed. I highly recommend Castillo painting for interior and exteirior work.

Contacted Gil and explained that I needed to have a paint job done at my mother's house soon because we are trying to get it ready to sell. He was very accomodating and started the job the Friday of the week I called and finished it on Saturday. He and his crew did a great job on short notice. He kept in good contact with me especially when it seemed like my 83 year old mother was giving direction contrary to what I told him. The statement he emailed me concerning the work to be performed and the cost was clearly explained. The cost for the work was a little higher than I expected but that could be i'm not familiar with the cost of paint jobs today.

Gil and his asst. Sergio were fabulous!!!! They were so industrious and conscientous! I was in a time crunch and they worked so long and hard to get it done.Their workmanship was beautiful! (prep and finish work)The area was spotless after they left. The apartment looked incredible. I highly reccomend them!!!!

We recently purchased a home and wanted a complete new color palette for walls and trim. Even using the Aura (which is one of the most expensive paints on the market), Gil's pricing was great and we choose to use Gil over one other quote from a highly rated provider. Gil was very responsive and got the job done on time with no problems. Gil's work was very clean and there is no paint, dust or scratching on any of our newly finished wood floors or new carpet that Gil had to work on. I would highly recommend that you consider Gil on any home painting project.

I called Castillo Painting twice to attempt to schedule an estimate. Each time we agreed to a day they would come by and I was assured they would call me early that day to set a specific time. Both times, I never got a call. Two weeks later I got a call out of nowhere to schedule yet a third appointment for an estimate, and I declined.

Gil came out the next day after I called to give me a estimate. His pricing was fair, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either compared to the other quotes I received. He came in right in the middle. I could tell instantly by the way he inspected the the walls in our unit that he was going to do an outstanding job. He provided me a sound explanation for every item on the quote, room by room and even gave us excellent advice on what type and color of paint to use. He was able to schedule the work a couple days after we approved the quote. Gil and his team were professional and polite. We couldn't have been happier with the finished product! Our condo looks brand new. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. There was no trace that painters had been in our unit. They left the place spotless. Highly recommend. Great quality and service!

The work went very well. They showed up when they said they would, the workers were very respectful, they worked very efficiently. I have a loft and they handled the details (around beams and pipes) very well.
