Peoples Choice Home Improvement did an outstanding job remodeling my master bathroom from start to finish. At my first meeting with Leonard (on time), I was presented with a folder containing the following: â ¢ Home Repair: Know Your Consumer Rights published by Lisa Madigan, Illinois Attorney General â ¢ Copy of Chicago General Contractors Licenses â ¢ Documented proof of Liability Insurance â ¢ Better Business Bureau â Complaint Free Awardsâ â ¢ Certificate of membership in the National Kitchen & Bath Association Leonard spent a couple hours looking over my old bathroom taking meticulous notes about what I wanted done and the priorities. I wanted a complete gut and remodel that included moving a wall, electrical, and plumbing for the vanity, shower, and whirlpool tub. One of my biggest requirements was replacement of 2 windows to help turn my bathroom from a freezer in the winter to a warm happy place. The proposal Leonard delivered was $25,000 for all labor expected to take between 4-5 weeks to complete. I would take care of purchasing all fixtures and finishes. Leonard helped make my job very easy. He sent me to his contacts at several Bath and Tile stores where they took the plan and my budget constraints and sold me a package of all needed materials and fixtures at substantial contractorâ s discounts. I had gotten quotes from 3 other contractors. All were substantially higher for labor and none included help with materials & fixtures purchase and no offer of passing on their contractorâ s discounts. Leonardâ s crew started on the day promised. They were on site every day and all day from the first day of construction to the very last day of the project. He stooped by almost every day to check on his crew and ask if I had any issues or concerns. I never had any problem. Equally important, Leonard took all of my calls. Even if he was with busy with something, heâ d answer to ask if he could call back shortly. Heâ d then call back in a very timely fashion. The quality of work was first class. One of the tiles I picked for the walls had a wave pattern that required meticulous planning and expert installation so that the waves flowed flawlessly from one tile to the next. I also chose a marble mosaic border that required the same level of planning and expert installation. Iâ ve been living with the new bathroom for about a month now. Everything is perfect! I havenâ t found a single flaw or deficiency anywhere in any of the work. I plan on a kitchen remodel and new hardwood floors in my living room and dining room in 2020. Peoples Choice will be the only contractor I call to get the jobs done. Iâ d recommend Peoples Choice to anyone.

When I contracted for this major bathroom remodeling, Leonard Belsky gave a start date about three weeks in advance. From experience with many contractors over the years, imagine my shock when he and his crew showed up on the exact date and time promised, ready to start the project! Further, the job was finished on time without delay in spite of encountering rotting flooring and a couple other issues common in 100+ year old buildings. His friendly crew were very skilled and organized in every aspect of the job and handled any little unexpected issues without any further drama. Their area of the apartment was always isolated with plastic sheeting and when they finished everything was left at least as clean as when they started. Leonard was also a great help with design and product suggestions based on his many years of experience. Communication was never an issue, he kept us updated on progress and always answered or returned calls. All in all, a very pleasant experience and a beautiful new bathroom!

We had our kitchen and two bathrooms done and they did a wonderful job. Leonards workers did an amazing job, very friendly and respectful and hard workers. Leonard was really nice and always came to check on the progress of his employees which was really nice. I would highly recommend this company.

Leonard is the epitome of professionalism. He communicates readily and clearly; follows up daily; makes thoughtful suggestions and defers to our final decisions but we found that we were always pleased following his suggestions. He routinely shopped for the best price on the best materials. Peter, the main tradesman assigned to our project, always arrived promptly, worked diligently, and cleaned up the workspace admirably. Pricing was competitive for extremely high-quality work. The kitchen in the upstairs in-law apartment of our 100-plus-year-old house needed replacement of leaky, rusted pipes, uneven flooring, and a cabinet that hid a broom closet and a rickety fold-up picnic table and benches, built by some eager DIY-er several generations ago. He tackled all these challenges with skill, diligence, and talent. He fixed/replaced pipes; installed LED/dimmer lighting/ventilation; replaced and extended counter space; reinforced structure where needed; removed four layers of miscellaneous flooring and ceramic-tiled the new floor; and replaced the huge vintage radiator with a classy, modern, wall-mounted item. Existing stove and fridge were functional but dated (and recycled). Leonard facilitated a very good deal with Abt Electronics for an appliance package that also included an over-range microwave and dishwasher (in gorgeous black stainless steel). Existing cabinets were replaced by gleaming white ones with modern handles and generous under-cabinet lighting. Peter crafted a small breakfast counter (where the DIY cabinet was removed) with overhead lighting and under-counter cabinets. (All kitchen lighting is LED/dimmable.)The kitchen was transformed from leaky, creaky and archaic to modern, sleek, and functional and well beyond expectations! We had anticipated a nice utilitarian update to our space and instead were surprised with an incredibly bright, beautifully color-coordinated, modern, more comfortable in-law apartment. Further projects are already scheduled for the spring; we will happily continue our working relationship with Peoples Choice and highly recommend them for any home project.

The work was quality, and done vary quickly, Leonard was prompt and easy to get a hold of when need. As well as Patient as I had other work going on at the same time.

This March I contacted Peopleâ s Choice Home Improvement Company for an estimate regarding a deck project. I spoke to Leonard Belsky about the project extensively and was immediately impressed with his professional demeanor. After multiple quotes from other contractors we chose Peopleâ s Choice and could not be happier with our decision. Leonard listened to our ideas and helped us achieve a new outdoor living space for our family. His knowledge is extensive regarding all aspects of the building process and made wonderful suggestions to help facilitate our decisions regarding design, layout and supplies for our project. He spoke to us frequently and inspected the project daily. Leonard maintains a high level of professionalism and expects that from those that worked on our project as well. Every person that assisted in the build was not only highly skilled but they were friendly and encouraged us to ask questions and take pictures of the daily process. Our final project includes new windows, sliding patio door, vinyl siding and a Trex deck. Not only is our finished project constructed well, it also looks fabulous! My husband and I are VERY happy with our new back porch. The quality of the work is A+...Very solid construction using premium materials. Leonard was very accommodating and keeps in great communication as the work is being done. The job was completed in less time than anticipated! The crew was respectful of our property, efficient and cleaned up after so you would never know they were there. You might pay a little more but it is worth every penny to work with a company that cares about each project, communicates, uses quality materials, etc. We HIGHLY recommend Leonard and Peoples Choice Home Improvement!

We can't say enough good things about Leonard and his team at Peoples Choice. Starting with our first meeting, Leonard was on time, prepared, and transparent with information. He quickly followed up with a quote, which was totally itemized to help us understand exactly what was ahead of us. In addition to listening to and thoroughly addressing our requests, he provided excellent recommendations for enhancing our project (two bathroom remodels) without spending too much extra money. Throughout the project we had the same crew everyday. They were friendly, respectful, and nice to our dog. And they never missed a day of work, which is why our project was completed on time. Leonard checked in nearly every day to discuss progress and answer our questions. We are so happy with the quality of work and attention to the smallest of details (they even fixed a busted latch on our fence, which wasn't part of the project!). Highly recommend!

We hired Leonard to remodel our dream master bathroom. It was my husband and I's first major home project and Leonard helped us with where to buy the fixtures, tile, etc. and was very patient with all our questions! He was upfront with us about what would and would not be possible with the space. I felt very involved every step of the way. As a bonus, his workers were very courteous and respectful of our home and keeping everything as clean as possible even during demolition. We are already thinking of our next project to have Leonard and his team work on!

Beginning In August of 2018, I had multiple jobs that needed to be completed in and around our 2-flat in Chicago. I received multiple quotes for each. We met with all the contractors and were very impressed with Leonard Belsky of Peoples Choice Home Improvement Co. after meeting him. He gave me confidence in his Company that I did not get from the other contractors. We made the decision to accept 3 proposals from Peoples Choice. Replacement of the roof and gutters needed to be done first. I was concerned due to damages that had been made to neighbors garage and also the mess left behind from our previous roofing experience. Leonard told me that there was no need to worry, we will clean up everything. He was absolutely correct. The roof was completed and there was no trace of the work having been done anywhere in the back, front or 2 sides of the house. Our next job was to completely gut and remodel our bathroom. The men were always on time, very conscientious, very tidy and quite nice. While working throughout the day and also at the end of each workday, they cleaned and swept up the whole area. They did a wonderful job and I absolutely love my remodeled bathroom. The last of the jobs to be completed was our 2-story back porch. It was completed in a timely manner, is so amazingly strong and sturdy and it looks wonderful. We are all very pleased with the finished product and are definitely looking forward to the warmer months when we can spend time on it. If you are on the fence with making a decision as to which contractor to choose, I have no doubt that you will be pleased with any work done by Peoples Choice Home Improvement Co. An additional comment: In August when I started getting quotes on work around the house, I wish that the Peoples Choice company name had come up for the other projects I was having quoted. I discovered after accepting quotes from other contractors that Peoples Choice would have been able to complete the other 3 jobs for us. Due to the experience I had with this company, I can honestly say that I would have had no hesitation in giving the other jobs to Peoples Choice too.

Leonard & his workers were great. They knew what I wanted & I was shocked on how beautiful the job came out. I definitely will use them again for future jobs.

I originally contacted People Choice to have a few things done at my home. Leonard call me right back and we were able to connect to have them come and install 2 toilets. They picked them up for me and brought to the house, there were some issues with installation as a result of a problem at my house, but Igor and Leonard were able to work through the issues and ultimately able to install both. They were professional, showed up when they promised and cleaned up after their work. I would definitely use them again for future jobs and recommend them. Thank you.

Leonard was extraordinarily communicative and went above and beyond to make the process as easy as possible for me. He listened to my vague ideas and transformed them into the kitchen of my dreams. Occasionally, I had bad ideas (light fixtures that were too small or didn't match) and I appreciated that Leonard provided helpful feedback to guide me in a better direction. He negotiated with vendors to get great prices on cabinetry and countertops. The crew was incredible - clean, respectful, and fast. The project was on time, within budget, and more beautiful than I'd hoped.

People’s Choice replaced our front porch just last month. The work quality is excellent.
