Excellent service and could not speak more about their professionalism. Though I felt the price was a little high for the work done, I would still use them again as they were so meticulous, careful, courteous, and neat.

Otto's did an amazing job, and I recommend them highly. I was going to install the hardware myself, but the traverse rod was beyond my skill set, and I decided to bring in Otto's for the entire job. I am so glad that I did! Matt and Otto Jr (brothers) arrived right on time. They measured my silk shantung drapery panel sewn by my mom in the 60s which I found in my dad's attic, and recommended the best way to hang them on the traverse rod. They worked professionally and efficiently and the draperies look and operate great. Next were the blackout curtains in my son's bedroom. He now works nights, and the blinds in his bedroom with five windows on three sides were letting in too much light. It was also a bit tricky because four of the windows were on corners butting up against each other. Matt provided some excellent recommendation on the best height to eliminate any light infiltration. If I had done it by myself, I would have hung them too low. After the rods were installed and the curtains hung, Matt and Otto also steamed them to make the creases fall out. I had washed and dried the curtains, but the creases were still here and they saved me a big ironing job. The curtains look great and more importantly, my son is extremely happy and now sleeping much better.

I can't begin to tell you how impressed I am with this company. From the first phone call to the meticulous care they took steaming and arranging the drapes, they are true professionals. After a long and challenging home renovation, where good contractors were few and far between, Otto's provided a welcome change of pace. Matt and Otto were knowledgeable, careful, detail oriented and friendly. The drapery rods and drapes look amazing, especially the one in the dining room that I've wanted to hang for about ten years. It was worth the wait and I won't hesitate to call them for future window treatment installations.

From the moment I first spoke to Ed in the office to explain my job through the installation process with Matt and Otto Jr., working with Otto's Drapery Service couldn't have been more professional or enjoyable. This family-owned and run company is the consummate expert in the field of drapery installation and what's more they don't just work in the suburbs like most installers, they travel across Chicago and will take jobs as well in Indiana and Wisconsin too! I have an unusual window arrangement in my bedroom and have for years tried various permutations of duet blinds; blinds and drapes for more darkness; and finally blackout drapes. Because I hemorrhaged money on the window treatments, I decided to hang the blackout drapes myself with the idea that I wanted a 'wall of drapes' when closed to mask the odd window configuration and keep passersby from looking in. I did a terrible job and Otto's Drapery Service was able to save the day. When I first called the office and spoke to the eldest brother Ed, I explained to him my problem and then emailed him pictures of how the room currently looked and then an image of how I wanted it to look. Ed was able to get me on the schedule in about a week, even though there were several days a week that I told him I couldn't be available. He quoted me a price of $265 for rehanging 6 panels of drapes, about 30' total. Brothers Matt and Otto Jr. came exactly on time, were polite and professional, assessed the job quickly and started working immediately. Using my hardware while seamlessly patching the several holes I made, the end result of their hard work was fantastic-- the drapes look like a million bucks!

The installers were Matthew and Otto, Jr. They were both very personable and very professional. They introduced themselves and shook my hand. Some of the preliminary work was done on the phone when I told them what I wanted done and gave approximate dimensions, sizes etc. He seemed to know exactly what I wanted. They came out, got right to work, installed the new rod to hold a one piece custom made lined valance (which to me seemed tricky). Then they steamed the fabric, making it look perfect! I asked them afterwards if they would install two pairs of holdbacks and they gladly did. The cost, while it seemed a little high, took into consideration that they came out from the city to a western suburb; plus there is no way I could have done what they did. I do not have the knowledge or the tools to do it. So knowing that, I needed to get a professional installer to do the work. I would highly recommend this company.

Very nice job installing my dining room drapes and associated hardware. Truly a professional at his skill. The drapes look great! This was well worth the expense. I will hire Otto in the future....

Responsive and punctual - the team was polite. After install the plantation shutter was scraping the bottom of the window - before I had a chance to tell the installer he told me he had already filled out the paperwork to correct the problem for no additional charge. Problem: The factory had not allowed the proper margin. They came back to correct and even added magnets (not part of the order) to make sure the shutter worked properly. Very pleased with my window treatments and the installation process.
