Prior to completing the roof, Scott took the time to thoroughly explain what needed to be done, without once giving off the feeling of conning his customer. Mr Osmondson was immediately responsive when I called him. He came to my home to look at the project and agreed that I needed a new roof as soon as possible (the old shingles were literally curled up). My home owners' insurance company gave me a deadline to have the work completed. I am a new home owner. Mr Osmondson took the time to educate and prepare me for what he may find once he had taken the old shingles off. I had called several other roofers on Angie's List. Most did not call back (I assumed my project was too small for them). Because Mr Osmondson was so patient with me I also asked his advice about other possible problems such as an uncovered outside drain, concrete stairs needing caulking, etc. Mr Osmondson went out of his way to give advice but strongly encouraged me to talk to other professionals about home repair work. Lastly, Mr Osmondson and his team finished the project timely and left everything exceptionally clean. He even painted the facia surrounding the roof where the wood would have been bare. In my life experience working with skilled artisans Mr Osmondson stands out. He is fair, honest and will go the extra mile for his customers.

We had originally contacted Scott Osmondson just over a year ago for a complete tear-off. We were impressed by his professionalism and thoroughness, as well as his friendliness, but in a close decision we went with a roofer who had previously done a complete tear off for us about 18 years ago. When we discovered the problem with the soffits recently, I reached out to the roofer who did the job. I was told that they had no one available to come out, and they advised that I hired a handy man. I called Scott; he responded quickly; and he arrived at our house at 8PM on a Friday night to repair the soffits. It's 9pm now, and Scott is gone. I will hire him for all subsequent roofing jobs. he did the repair job himself and charges us a remarkably low fee. A true professional!

From initial inspection, quote and consultation to installation, Scott Osmondson was informative, prompt and professional. The Osmondson quote contained the most thorough description of work to be provided out of the 3 quotes I requested. The quote was also reasonably priced. The rainy spring delayed scheduling for a bit but once a date was nailed down the crew showed up as expected and did a great job even though interrupted by thunder storms. The work was unobtrusive and finished quickly. The roof looks great and I suspect that some extra effort was required to put our old and neglected roof into top shape. I recommend Osmondson without reservations.

Scott answered all of my questions both before and during the project. Everything went as well as could be expected with the amount of rain we have had this year. Scott was very apoligitic about delays due to the rain. It is now complete and we are very happy with the work.

Scott came out and helped me determine what the issue was. I could tell right away that he was an honest person that approached the job with integrity. He even lent me a ladder for a few days to address some of the issues myself. I would definitely call Odmondson again and recommend them to anyone.

owner personally showed up at my house and checked out the interior where some staining had appeared. he gave me a few ideas as to what it might be, and some reasons of why it might not be a roof leak at all. he couldn't get up on the roof because it was raining and I ended up not following up further because the staining seemed to potentially be more of a condensation issue. but he was extremely professional and responsive.

We have had Scott and Kent as our roofers for over 30 years. They have always been very responsive, very fair with their pricing and willing to do more than we expect of them.

Scott Osmondson is really a down-to-earth person. He's patient and professional. He's very experienced. My roof was replace by another company 9 years ago, and started to leak around chimney for the second time. My ceiling was damaged. Scott immediately gave an inspection (other companies won't come until weeks later). He diagnosed the problem and explained how the flashing should be properly installed. He also gave me advice how to contact original roof installer to fix the problem rather than forcing me to hire him to do the job. Very sincere and trustworthy. price is reasonable. I contacted Scott from Osmondson to come out and provide an estimate on some cedar siding that needed replacement. Scott came out, inspected the siding and because it was such a small job offered to just show me step-by-step how to do it myself. He did so, not to avoid doing the work, but to help me save some money, and the experience blew me away. While he was over, we ended up discussing a few different projects that I am going to do and Scott provided great insight into how to approach the jobs and gave some great tips to think about. While Scott did not end up doing the work on my home, I was blown away by the customer experience and the ideas that he had. I cannot recommend working with Osmondson enough, and I will definitely be contacting them in the future should I need further siding or roofing work.

Osmondson put on our last roof in 1993 - 26 years on a roof is amazing. We called them again and found they were competitive in pricing and we already trusted them. Once the weather was reasonable, they scheduled our roof. Beyond the actual roof, which looks amazing, they were amazing about their clean-up. They moved furniture off the patio, they cleaned up all areas on the ground. They have a large magnet they used both on the roof and the ground to find any wayward nails. They put copper flashing on. Members of the crew were professional and polite, as well as patient answering our grandson's questions. We have recommended them to everyone in the neighborhood. They will be doing some roofing work at our daughter's house later this year. They are fabulous!

I interviewed several roofing contractors before hiring Mr. Osmondson and would hire him again for any of my roofing needs due to the following reasons: * His estimate was more than reasonable (less than the other quotes I received) * His response to my phone call was within less than 15 minutes * He came out to inspect my entire roof the same day (and he did a thorough inspection) * He came as scheduled to repair the roof * He did not try and up sell me by telling me my entire roof needed replacement (like some of the other contractors) * He was highly knowledgeable regarding the roofing problem and the solution. * The work performed was PERFECT, you cannot see the repaired areas, and the roof withstood several heavy rains after the repair without any leaks * Lastly, Mr. Osmondson is one of the nicest, most knowledgable and honest contractor that I have ever met ( In the past I had to deal with a whole slew of contractors in the past when I was a general contractor on a project involving an addition to my property: to replace a porch that fell off the house)

I first encountered Osmondson Roofing a few years back on a referral from my next-door neighbor, needing a roofer to take a look at a few damaged shingles. They were top-of-mind when it came time for my roof replacement--especially having seen the work they did not only on my next-door neighbor's house, but on the house two doors down from me as well. This is a great company with which to work. We are talking about an exceptional level of care for my home. They hand nailed the new roof. Let that sink in--no over-/under-driven nails here because this crew is laying that roof down the right way. Complicating the roof install was a crumbling chimney. Well, Osmondson has a solution for that, too. They tore down and rebuilt the brick chimney in conjunction with the roof, and I couldn't be any happier with the result. As a bonus, I was having my HVAC replaced the same week and the proprietor, Scott, even offered to coordinate the chimney liner installation from my HVAC company with his work on the chimney. It went so smoothly I thought I was in a fairy tale. To top it off (well, bottom it off, actually), they added a beautiful piece of copper flashing to the chimney base (maybe it's normal, maybe it isn't, but I wasn't expecting it and I think it's gorgeous). Osmondson Roofing operates with integrity, too. Based on some other feedback I had received from various contractors, etc. over the past couple of years, I also asked Scott to quote me on replacing my gutters. He easily could have upsold me on a gutter replacement here since I was looking to buy, but after taking a look at them he told me there's no need to change them. At my request, I asked him to install some additional gutter guards where I still had some openings and the bill was pretty much cost for the materials. Who walks away from an easy upsell because it's the right thing to do? These guys. Scott and his crew (thanks guys!) were professional, punctual, and diligent. These folks HUSTLE. The chimney tear down, tear-off of the old roof, installation of the new roof, and chimney rebuild was done in two-and-a-half days. My property was left cleaner than they found it, too. In this case, I really got the service for which I paid. It is an old axiom you can have it good, you can have it fast, or you can have it cheap; pick two out of three. Osmondson Roofing almost has the trifecta. The price is a bit higher than one might find in what I guess is a standard tear-off situation, but I am extremely satisfied with the quality and speed with which the work was completed. This hire was worth every penny I paid and more. One note--call for the fastest response. Scott is really responsive to phone calls--a very direct approach to communicating to his customers that I preferred to texting/emailing back and forth. If you are bidding on a roof and/or chimney masonry, I strongly urge you to include Osmondson in your quotes. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat if I needed them, but the way they left my roof and chimney I don't think I'm going to have to worry about anything up there for decades.

Scott came by to assess a flat roof above a garage. He provided some insight into potential other sources of the leaks and suggestions to repair that were outside the scope of his services. He was prompt and professional. Thank you Scott.

Another roofer suggested that chimney needed tuckpointing. I contacted Scott, he returned my call right away and set an appointment quickly. He arrived on time, thoroughly examined roof (in snow!), and advised that no work was necessary at this time. I will use this company when I do have the opportunity.

I was looking at a house I had planned on purchasing and already had a roofing company come to inspect the roof. They were recommended by my agent. The roof had missing shingles and a chimney with missing mortar. They told me the roof would last ten years but I would definitely have hail damage before that and they could handle everything, no insurance increase would happen, and no mention of the chimney except they could repair it by adding mortar. Scott, the owner, was quickly responsive to my call. I had a couple days left for my approval of the contract so he understood the urgency and went himself. Immediately called me within 2 hours. His advice was on point with what family had told me. The roof would need continual repairs every 2 to 3 years and best scenario, should be replaced within about 8 years. The chimney would also need consistent repairs and need to be replaced in a short time as well. He gave me an estimate half the price of the other company if I wanted repairs or replacement. I would definitely hire them again to inspect my roof, give me an estimate, or for any roof trouble in the future.

I was bidding out a very large and difficult residential job (complete tear-off and re-sheathing of a 100 year Chicago 2-flat, 12:12 pitched roof, original cedar shingles with 3 additional layers of asphalt shingles) and Osmondson came out to look at the roof. They informed me because of the scope of the job, they wouldn't be able to do it at the time. I was not surprised by this, nor was insulted. Several other contractors said the same. However, what I was pleased with was that the owner sat down with me and wife for an hour and discussed EVERYTHING we should consider when bidding out a large job like this, what to look for in good and bad contractors, materials and techniques that we should expect and what to include in a contract to protect ourselves. I would recommend that you call up this company. They seemed like a trustworthy and quality outfit.

Scott was very professional, responsive and accommodating. Quoted us a fair price, took the time to match the shingles on the house, completed the job quickly. Would use them again without hesitation.

They came out and inspected our roof but never provided an estimate despite several phone calls and assurances that they would send us a quote.

Scott was responsive to my call and arranged for a quick visit. After thoroughly discussing a few options for changes to my roof, I opted for only having one thing done at this time- a new exhaust hood installed (I did the duct work in the attic myself). Scott was able to schedule the work fairly quickly and altho I wasn’t home when he showed up which I had requested, I have to trust the work was done correctly. He left a voicemail to tell me it was complete and the invoice arrived quickly thereafter. I was generally pleased with his communication and fairness of the price and will consider using them again in the future.
