They were responsive in that they did return and fix the side borders with a somewhat better match, but were unable to do anything on the new spotting or restore the nap that had been removed by their cleaning process. I have been told by others that they may have machine washed the rug thinking it was machine made because of its excellent condition, but it was a hand woven 100 year old Chinese. I used them because they had washed the rug for me about 6 or 7 years earlier, and it came back in beautiful condition.
Description of Work: Isberian was supposed to clean and repair an antique oriental rug, but pretty much degraded its condition. They repaired the sides using a thick mohair like yarn of an off color instead of matching with a similar quality and color, stripped the color from parts of the rug creating whole areas of white dots where there were none( and then were unable to match the color to repair their damage), and removed the nap from sections of the rug. It went in in good condition--per Isberian's own assessment years prior-- for a cleaning to remove any dust after house construction and came back basically ruined, with irre

He did a very good job explaining to us the differences between the kinds of oriental rugs that we were looking at. He's flexible on the price and it was a very pleasant transaction. I think he's a very knowledgeable rug dealer with a really good inventory, who is good at explaining the differences between the various rugs and his prices were fair.

+ -1 moreThe experience with this company was terrific. When I called to schedule a pick up they also guaranteed a 2 week turn around and set up the return as well. One of the rugs required more work but was still returned within the 2 week time frame. I was called for approval of the extra work and cost before any of it was done. The person who called was polite and very professional when describing the work needed. The rugs were returned and put back on the floor and furniture re positioned with great care. I have no complaints.

+ -1 moreTWO RUGS CAME OUT VERY WELL. THE THIRD ONE DID NOT CLEAN AS WELL BECAUSE IT WAS TOO OLD AND THE STAINS DID NOT COME OUT WELL. WILL NOT HAVE THAT RUG CLEANED AGAIN. THE MEN WERE VERY GOOD ABOUT MOVING THE FURNITURE AND PICKING UP AND PUTTING BACK THE RUGS.
