Carol came in and got to work right away and assessed the project. She kept me on task and gave me my office back with great suggestions on how to improve space usage. Also gave me permission to throw things away by offering to donate the items and send me a receipt. As soon as my kitchen is ready I will have her back to help me with that project.

It was a great experience!!!  Carol made it painless.  I didn't regret my decisions on what to keep and what to get rid of.  It was liberating not to second guess myself and "take one more peek, just in case."  Once Carol and I looked at the item, it was gone.  What one will appreciate about Carol is that she doesn't make you feel guilty or like a horder if you decide to keep something of sentimental value.  She recommends how to maintain the item which ultimately makes it easier to recognize items that are not of as value as you once believed.  Carol doesn't push, nudge, or coerce.  Everything you decide to keep or eliminate is your decision, not Carol's decision.

I was very nervous about having someone in my home, especially in the "bad" room. I even told her when making the appointment that I felt I had to clean up the clutter before she came, like cleaning before the cleaning lady comes. She told me no, not to worry. Hard to imagine that she's seen worse. Anyway, not only did she give me strategies to deal with the incoming mail and bills, which was a great big help, she cleared a space for me to continue working. I appreciate her work and value it very highly. I got a great deal!

       I had been putting this off for years.  Actually, I was dreading this.  I saw the coupon offered, and that Carol, the Organizer, lived in the city, and I decided to just do it.  I was so happy that I did.  Carol was here 3 hours (I was totally exhausted by the end of this time), and I feel we made a great start, and I can probably do the rest from what she taught me.  It was a great learning experience, and Carol is a great teacher, as well as organizer.  She talks you through the process, offering suggestions, great ideas, and moral support.  There is a large psychological aspect to culling out your stuff which Carol totally gets, and is extremely  patient in making sure that you want to get rid of things.  She will even cart the stuff away. She made excellent suggestions on how to continue the process.  I was very impressed with her skills, and professional, friendly manner, and would highly recommend her services.

During our three hour work-session, Carol kept me focused on the task at hand.  (She was able to keep me from moving to new tasks before actually completing the one we'd started.)  She helped me sort through several boxes, clear off my desk, file important documents and establish a plan for finishing the process after she left.  We attacked each area...one at a time...until we'd cleared it.  Then we moved to the next area.  At the end of the session I had a plan for shredding sensitive material, donating a couple of boxes of unused "gifts" that I'd never managed to give away, countless books and recycling paperwork that I'd moved from my old much-larger home in Ohio.  

She was respectful of my privacy and of me.  She  spent the first couple of minutes getting a sense of how best to work with me and once we started going she was steading in guiding me through the process.  I'd contracted for 3 hours.  During that time I was able to accomplish more than I'd been able to accomplish on my own over several days.  I wish I'd had her come sooner.  I am recommending her to my family members and friends.

I cannot say enough good things about Carol. I determined early on that working with a team of organizers wasn't for me since the job involved personal decisions. In a total of six hours, we were able to clear out two rooms which were used to dump anything I didn't know what to do with.She arrived on time and we started by setting expectations for that work session.

We worked in three hour clips. She challenged me in a supportive, healthy way to re-think my approach to holding onto paper and objects gathering dust. Respectful of my wishes and non judgmental about my clutter, Carol helped me identify what I really wanted to keep (which was everything) versus what I really needed to keep. It was a difficult but highly freeing experience. Carol went the extra mile to dispose of batteries and unneeded but still useable objects. She has a talent for being patient, supportive, focused, and persistent without being pushy.

Carol was was enthusiastic and a joy to work with. There is much more to do and I will definitely hire her again.

Carol arrived at my house on time. We went over what needed to be done and we got to work.
She was extremely efficient and clear on what she could get done in the time we had.
I showed her other areas that would need organizing and she came up with a plan including length of time for each job, materials needed and what each of would need to do to accomplish my goals. Her fee's are fair and I would highly recommend her.I will continue to use her as needed.

We have a finished attic space that has become a bit of a catch all for rarely used items, home improvement magazines and photos.  It was a mess and so overwhelming that I didn't know where to start so I just kept ignoring it rather than tackling it myself.  Angie's List ran a Big Deal promotion and I purchased it.  Carol actually contacted me initially which really motivated me to go ahead and tackle the job.  Carol arrived on time (she was a few minutes late but we had several no parking signs in our neighborhood so she called to tell me that she was here, just trying to find parking) and asked me what I wanted to accomplish.  We set right to work and did the whole 3 hours without a break.  Carol was both a cheerleader, encouraging me, and a hands on worker, doing what she could.  She offered helpful suggestions and really motivated me to keep decluttering, not only in the attic space, but in other rooms as well.  I would definitely pay full price to have her work with me again.

I needed a bit of help finishing organizing my daughter's bedroom so I took advantage of the Big Deal offered by Optimal Organizing.  Scheduling the appointment was very easy and Carol was right on time on the agreed-upon date.  We got right to work and finished my project in no time at all.  Carol was completely hands-on - folding, hanging, moving, etc.  Although I had never met Carol before, it felt like I was spending the morning with an old friend.  She was very easy to work with and I would definitely hire her again!

carol is very friendly and terrifically organized. she immediately saw how i was wasting space and how i had too much clutter in my office area. we cleared off my desk, rearranged my books and resource material and reorganized  two cabinets. she very helpfully gave me a "to do" list and i am working my way through that. she spent three hours with me and worked hard the entire time. i am very impressed and will hire her again.

Carol helped me to organize my home office, going through my file cabinet, my mountain of papers, and other junk that was piling up on the floor.  She led the entire process with ease and understanding, and she helped facilitate my decisions on what to keep and what to toss.  She is also sensitive to proper disposal of materials, recycling everything that can be recycled, including boxes, paper, cell phones, etc.

Before Carol came to my house, I had anxiety about organizing my office.  Now that anxiety has changed into motivation to tackle other projects.  I can't wait to have Carol return to work on the basement!

Carol was great to work with from the very start.  She is professional and personable and fun to work with.  Carol was very skilled at helping me decide what to keep, what to get rid of and how to get rid of it.  She has a lot of contacts with various charitable organizations so she was easily able to arrange for donations of a lot of my things I no longer wanted.  At the end of it all, she even arranged for a mover for me and met the movers at my storage unit.  Overall, she went above and beyond in helping me clear out my storage unit by my deadline.  I couldn't have done it without her and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs (or wants) that extra push to get more organized more easily.  She is worth it!

Carol Woodworth of Optimal Organizing was excellent when it came to tackling an overstuffed closet overflowing with too many clothes. Step by step, she helped me weed out and reorganize my possessions so that, now, I can focus on the items of clothing that fit best and are most flattering. In just two sessions, we were able to weed out four bags' worth of clothing for a local homeless shelter ? a win-win for everyone. I'll have her back for other assignments, for sure.

It went superb. I feel like I have my life back. Actually it is more than back--it's way better. Here's what I think: I think Carol Woodworth is more than an organizer. What she has given me is a whole life makeover. Seriously. She was like having my closest sister arrive from out of town to ingeniously and lovingly help me get my life together. At a point, after I saw how good this former executive is, I would just ask her What do we need to do today? and she would have thought things through and we would go at it. I am going to keep her on my speed dial and plan to use her for a good long time. I cannot say enough good things about working with Carol and using her services. I have also used several organizers in the past and they have been pretty good, but Carol is in a whole new league all by herself. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
