Mike showed up before time for the appt. After understanding the nature of the problem he got working on it. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the rising cost of operating my old air-conditioning unit. He was able to successfully charge the system with new coolant. He also gave me tips on making sure that unit continued to work properly during the summer. At the end of it he was able to give me estimate and information about replacing the unit. I really appreciated his honest and no fuss way of working and providing me with relevant information. Having used other people for the same problem I can clearly say he is the BEST.

I called and left several messages regarding the furnace. Specifically I wanted to ask about different filters and how to install. They never returned my messages. I specifically mentioned that they had installed my system thinking they would want to provide future service and maintenance; because they couldn't take the time to answer my questions, I figured they must not want my business.

Our furnace stopped working on a weekend in the middle of a very cold snap in early November. We started looking around for quotes to replace the furnace. Many contractors/installers were only taking appointments for the following Monday after the weekend, however after giving Mike from Oasis a call, he said he would come that day. In fact he was going to be in the neighborhood for an unrelated trip and said he would take time from his Saturday night to stop in and give us a diagnosis and quote. He was punctual and courteous. My family was very grateful for that personal touch. I would highly recommend Oasis Heating and Air to anyone.

I have used Oasis two times in the last couple of months and they are refreshingly straight forward and efficient. The first time we called our air conditioner had gone out in the middle of a heat wave. We have two small kids and I needed someone to fix the a/c as soon as possible. I was worried that the expense was going to be great considering how urgently we needed someone to come out. However, I called, mentioned my two kids and Mike, the owner, made room in his schedule and was at our place within a few hours. While here he showed me exactly what the problem was taking me outside to view the compressor. He also separately took out my husband to show him the problem as well. Just today I used them again and worked with Mitch. Again, very straightforward, very professional and answered all of my questions well. A trustworthy company for sure.

Our air conditioner broke during a period of 90 degree heat. Mike came out the same day we called, climbed up onto the roof to look at the unit (not easy), and was able to schedule us for the next day. His crew was professional, responsible, and very hard-working, and his quote was below the other 3 that we collected. The other companies told us we'd need to pay for a crane to come out and pull the unit onto the roof--Mike's crew pulled it up themselves on a rope to save us the money and hassle and time of reserving a crane. The air conditioner has been working well through one of the hottest summers we've had. I would recommend Oasis to anyone--they did a great job.

This is an update to my review yesterday. When I came home from work on a 101 degree day, there was another problem. I called Oasis at 6:30 pm. The owner said he'd be right over, and showed up within 15 minutes. Incredible service. He worked on the unit on the roof for an hour and fixed it. He wouldn't charge me even though the problem was likely unrelated to the prior issue. He is working with me on a warranty claim with the manufacturer. It's rare to find this combination of diligence, professionalism and knowledge. Highly recommended.

I called Oasis at 4:00 p.m. because my a/c unit didn'tt seem to be cooling the upstairs like it should. I would run all the time and not reach the temp on the thermostat. When I called, I noted it was not an emergency. Mike, the owner, called me 1/2 hour later to tell me that he would send a crew over within 10 minutes as they were just finishing a job nearby. The techicians were very friendly and very knowledgeable. They did an outsanding job. From the time of my call to job completion was 2.5 hours. The price was very reasonable. Mike called me after the job to explain, in as much detail as I wanted, the nature of the problem, the options for long term solutions, and the condition of the unit. The unit is working great now. I received very prompt service in the middle of one of Chicago's worst heatwaves in memory. This is a well-run, caring and professional company.

It went great! Mike was awesome and saved me a ton of money. He is definitly my HVAC guy from now on. I would definitly recommend him to anyone.

Of course my air conditioner had to stop working on the hottest day of the month in June! I was so desperate to find someone to work on my unit because I have a small child. When I called the A/C repair shops who claimed they had a 24 hour service, most of the didn't even return my call until the next morning. I called Oasis and Mike returned my within 10 minutes. He was booked up with appointment that evening and said that he couldn't come until 7am the next morning. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Around 9:30pm that night, Mike called me and asked if I had children staying in my house, and if so, he said that he was worried about them and would be willing to come and fix my A/C unit that night itself. It was too late even for me, so I thought it was best to wait until the morning. Mike showed up the next morning at 7am sharp. He showed me how to troubleshoot problems with the A/C and he showed me how to change the filter. Mike is a very knowledgeable businessman. He is thorough with his work, extremely pleasant, and very professional. Now I understand why he has such great ratings with Angie's list. I had such a wonderful experience and was charged a very fair price for the services. I would recommend Mike!

Our upstairs A/C unit stopped cooling yesterday. I found Oasis on Angie's list @10pm last night and called. Mike called me back within 10 minutes, gave me advice over the phone, and texted me further advice in the following hour. He turned up at 8:30 this morning (Sunday) at no extra fee, quickly diagnosed my issue (dirty compressor causing capacitor to go and fan to stop spinning), fixed the issue and was finished within 45 minutes. Very professional and knowledgeable. I'll definitely call him the next time we have an issue.

Prior to joining Angie's List, I have had Mike service my old furnaces (I have a 2 flat) . The great thing about Mike is his honesty. He doesn't jump in and say "You need a whole new system" but he also knows when the costs start to be prohibitive and it's time to replace.I have had several estimates and usually someone will give me a very expensive price for repair and then tell me it's probably cheaper to replace. Mike has always come through. When my furnaces didn't make sense to service anymore, I hired him to replace them. His price was competitive and the crew arrived on time and finished when promised. I had recently contacted another contractor on Angie's List to check my 2 air conditioning units and charge them through an Angie's List Special. (I didn't realize that Mike was on Angie's List and that I could have had him as the contractor who performed the check & AC recharge) I had indicated to the other contractor that while my AC unit worked, my tenant's didn't work well and seemed to be running but not producing much cold air. That's why I thought I needed the air recharged. When he came out he said the tenant's unit was fine but my unit actually needed a couple of parts replaced. He said the units were old and I was probably going to need to be replacing them soon and asked if I wanted an estimate on them. I told him money was tight,and to just fix my unit for the additional cost. I continued to voice my concern over the second unit. Fast forward 3 weeks. The second unit failed. I called Mike and he told me he was on Angies's List and could have be the contractor who came out earlier. He came out the same day. He replaced the part on the 2nd unit that the other contractor skipped. It was seriously deteriorated. You could SEE that there was no way this part could be functioning properly. That part also caused the fan to burn out. Rather than replace the unit which would cost me upwards of $2800, Mike was able to fix the unit. Ahh, AIR!! Needless to say, I have a call into contractor #2. I highly recommend Mike @ Oasis. He is the ONLY contractor I will call for my heating and air from now on!

I was thoroughly impressed, and would highly recommend Oasis to anyone looking for Heating or A/C work. Mike was on time, and incredibly thorough. He very easily could have given up earlier in his inspection, and recommended an expensive electrical repair or replacement that we didn't actually need. I really appreciated that he explained everything that he was checking and doing, and feel like in addition to getting our air conditioning fixed, I actually learned something!

If every business we deal with were as efficient and customer-oriented as Oasis, it would be wonderful. Oasis sells high quality systems and install them properly, so there was no problem. The owner himself came out and gave me advice on service frequency (much less than I had thought) and the importance of changing air filters and hosing off the AC unit. As always, he was friendly, professional, and helpful. We are very pleased with Oasis and their products and service. The installation was a complicated replacement for an older system, and the work had to be coordinated with a landscaping/hardscaping project. It was very successful and we can see the result in our heating and cooling bills and in better heating and cooling performance. They are an outstanding operation and have my strongest recommendation.

Service was performed as described and in a timely manner.

We have had issues with our furnace for several years. Oasis was recommended by a friend and they have always been excellent. Recently, our unit failed on a Saturday evening. Mike (the owner) walked me through how to fix it temporarily myself over the phone and told me where I could get a replacement part the following Monday. He told me that he would be happy to fix it, but also told me how to replace it myself. I found this to be rather incredible. This is a perfect example of why we will always call on Oasis for any heating or cooling needs and why everyone else should too.

Mike (owner of the company) performed the inspection on both of the airhandlers and the two exterior AC units. He gave us good feedback on the condition of our units (both in very good shape, even the unit from 1991!). He answered our questions and offered good advice about how to maintain our central air system. He gave us a contact for ordering our special airfilters (and offered to get them for us if we wanted). I believe Mike is completely trustworthy and highly recommend this company. He didn't try to sell us anything and suggested that if/when the 1991 unit fails, it wouldn't be worth repairing but for now, it's operating perfectly. Based on my experience, I have extreme confidence in recommending this company to others.
