NOVA FORMA CO

I have used nova forma multiple times. in the past 5 years, we have used them 4 times (including rental property in the city). nova forma is the best. they are punctual, professional, trustworthy, and probably the cleanest painters around. everything is left exactly the way it is, they also vacuum up all the dust that comes with painting. i have yet to see paint splatter on hardware, outlets, etc. i highly recommend them. you will not be disappointed with this company.

I contracted with this company to paint a condo, and specified high quality paints in the agreement -- Benjamin Moore, no-VOC paint. I came after they had painted on the first day, and found inferior quality paint cans, probably 1/3 the price -- basically the cheapest Sherwin Williams interior paint available. The manager had many excuses for the use of high VOC paint. While their paint job was well-done and professional, the inferior quality of the materials that htey used has already shown in a few months, with paint flaking off some of the surfaces that they painted. I would not recommend this company -- if you otherwise do, I recommend buying the supplies for them and contracting only for labor, so that they do not cut corners and use cheap products. i would also closely supervise and micromanage their work.

I had several contractors came out for quotes and they simply demonstrated to be crazed circus acts............BUT........Ivan from Nova Forma Company came and provided a detailed estimate immediately. The timing couldn't be any better...my new windows were up and Ivan and his team came in to paint my place. He and his crew are professional, respectable and extremely detailed team players. I'm very satisfied with the quality of performance of Nova Forma Company and would absolutely recommend this company to friends, family and the other condo owners in my building. Nova Forma Company has demonstrated to be an asset to the Logan Square community and certainly for the entire Chicago land area....

As soon as my windows will be installed in July I told Ivan I would be contacting him for the service and everything went very well.

We paid $200 and had one painter come in for 8 hours. He did a nice job but we expected more. Now we have an incomplete paint job. It would be nice if the company spoke to you about your complete paint job and what it would take for them to do that work.

Ivan and his team were professional. From the first meeting, Ivan made it clear that he and his team worked one job at a time, and that they would not be able to start until 6 weeks from when I gave them my approval. He felt they could get all the work done in 2 weeks. After they started, they stayed until they were finished. They worked 12 hours days, and also worked on Saturday, which meant they were able to finish the job in 1.5 weeks, which made me extremely happy. They did a good job cleaning up after the sanding and drywall work was completed. Also, they had to work around an insulation company and a plumber. I've had my condo under construction before and I was dreading getting into this again because of my prior experiences. It's so good to have a group of people who know what they are doing and are so professional. Thanks, Angie's List.

It was a pleasure working with Ivan from Nova Forma Company. From the very beginning, until the very end he was very professional. He came to estimate our project and gave us a quote within 3 days and said it would be about 2 days of work. He could also start when we needed him to (the next week). We received a couple of other quotes that were somewhat lower; but we really wanted Ivan and his team to do the work ? we just had a good gut feeling about him. We asked Ivan to sharpen his pencil a bit and he accommodated us the best he could and came down to a fair price that we could agree on. We only had one small hiccup in the process. On the day Nova Forma was to start work they called us to postpone by one day. We were nervous about the loss of a day, since the work was scheduled to take 2 days and we had other work that needed to closely follow. The next day, they were able to come in, work a full long day and finish without needing the second day so we could stay on schedule AND everything looked beautiful. They did postpone for good reason though. They had to take care of another customer who had flooding in their basement the night before after a rain; they wanted to salvage the drywall before it was ruined. We?re sure he would?ve done the same for us. It was just a testament to his professionalism and customer care. We would definitely recommend Nova Forma Company for any drywall work or repair.

Ivan took a look at the damage, offered an opinion about how to fix it, and was able to offer a reasonable bid quickly. Crew came out 2 days later to do the work on a day that was convenient to me. Performed the work thoroughly. The ceilings look very nice.

Everything went wonderful. They came two days after I called. The work was completed in the time discussed. The quality of their work was exceptional. They even did an impressive job cleaning up the mess when they were done.

From the time he arrived to quote the job, to the time everything was done and we paid the bill, the service was very professional. Ivan was able to schedule and complete the work within 2 weeks. The work took approx 4 days, but only the first 2 days were full days. The end result was fantastic - corners and edges looked clean and surface was sanded and ready to prime. The workers were quiet and cleaned up the worksite every day, which minimized the drywall dust in our unit. The price matched the quote exactly. We would definitely use them again.

The framing around the backdoor to my condo needed to be replaced. I got the estimate from Ivan and got a call a couple of days later that they could do the work on Saturday which was fine. The installers came on time and started right away. The door and frame was hung in a couple of hours. On Monday, another guy came and painted the door and trim. The work was excellent.

Ivan and his crew were great. This was the second time we used them. They are very thorough, professional, and get the job done in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend them and would use them again if I need any work done.

This was the second time I used Ivan and his Nova Forma Team. They are total professionals and responded the next day to come in and provide a quote, they were also able to work on the weekend to get a big job done quickly and in time for our move into a our new home. I had Ivan Bermeo quote installing crown molding in our hallway and in three bedrooms as well as repairing the walls and painting the bedrooms. One bedroom was an absolute mess - not only were there several holes in the walls, there were numerous screws still in the wall that looked like was once a huge shelving unit and it was not only wallpapered but the wallpaper was painted over. He had a crew of five and they laid down and taped plastic on all of the floors and hallways and started right on time as they said they would. They not only finished on time, but worked on Saturday and finished a day early - something I greatly appreciated since it also gave us more time to air out the house before we moved in. The "mess of a bedroom" looks brand new - they took their time with it, worked hard and are good at what they do because it shows. Ivan also pointed out and recommended that we replace our outlets for he noticed that at least five coats of paint were on the outlets for whoever painted before did a lazy and bad job. The crown molding looks awesome and really changed the rooms and hallway. The day after was I was inspecting the rooms further, I noticed some paint "bubbling" on one of the bedroom's ceiling. I called Friday evening and left a message with Ivan as well as texted him a picture. He called back the next day - a Saturday - and he reminded me that they didn't paint the ceilings. Needless to say, I was a little embarrassed, but Ivan explained to me that the bubbling on the ceiling was likely a result of a quick/cheap/poor paint job to make the house we bought look new. He said he would send one of his crew over to repair it for free on Monday, but if the whole ceiling needed to be painted he would have to charge for it. One of his crew did indeed come over on Monday, first thing, laid down plastic and taped it throughout the whole house and moved the furniture as well to repair the ceiling. Seriously, they went above and beyond and it's refreshing to see such good and honest folks out there as well as ones that are so good but don't have any ego whatsoever. Plan on using them again when we redo our basement and would recommend them to anyone. Painting is not worth skimping on for you have to live with it and see it every day. You can trust that these guys will do a fantastic job each and every time. Money well spent.

The guy's work was excellent and outstanding. He was very careful and very courteous. He arrived when he said he was going to arrive even for the whole process of quoting. He was very reliable in doing what he said he would do and even above that. We will use him again.

We could not be happier with the work or the price. The workmanship and quality was EXTREMELY high - it looks excellent. The very few joints in the moulding (I think only one was needed for the straight run that was over 16 feet long) and the inside and outside corners (there were a few jogs in the well where the old trim looked very bad and was separating) look perfect and the paint lines and masking look 100%. It's not an exaggeration to say that this is the happiest my wife and I have EVER been with work that we have had performed. The price was great, the service was great and we are really blown away by how good the work looks. They also moved the existing furniture out of the room and cleaned up very well. Ivan was very easy to work with - we corresponded over e-mail and phone and he was easy to deal with. He arrived when he said that he would and did exactly what he was supposed to do. The price was lower than other estimates for a higher quality and size of trim. I If A+ were an option, that is how I would rate this work. If there were a higher score than A+, I would rate him that. That's how happy we are with Nova Forma's work.
