Nombach Roofing & Tuckpointing

Great. Crew was on time and completed entire job including cleanup in about 3 hours.

Nombach Roofing did a good job of walking us through their plans and approach for the work we wanted to do in great detail. They were prompt, friendly, and detailed when working out the contract for the work we wanted done. For the gutters they installed, they initially did not hang the gutters at the proper pitch, so during the first subsequent rainstorm, water backed up the wrong way and started shooting at our neighbor's house. Nombach did come out promptly to rehang the gutters properly, which fixed the problem. For the stovepipe chimney that we asked them to reseat (it had blown askew before we moved into the house), they did reseat the chimney; we had asked them, and included in our contract, that if necessary for stability that they add a stabilizing brace to the chimney due to its height. The roofers reattached the metal wires but did not put a brace up, saying that would be secure enough, but when the wires did not prove secure enough, Nombach was quite helpful and professional in helping us find another company to take care of that part of the roofing project. I really appreciated their communication and flexibility.

I don’t have any bad reviews, I’ve been using them for years before anyway, and the quality of work was good. It was good communication and no questions asked unanswered.

They did a wonderful job. I was very pleased. I had several roofers come out to give me estimates and I chose Nombach and I'm glad I did. They were very professional and did a great job cleaning up any messes afterwards.

They did a fantastic job I have used Nombach in the recent past to install a 5,000 roof and was also very pleased with them at that time. I would highly recommend this company.

He told me I don’t need the window re-done, but just repainted and repaired. This guy is very good and I was happy he told me the truth.

Service was performed well and on time for good price.

Provider contacted on October 28th. Contract signed and approved on November 8th but no date of completion set. I called them again in the beginning of December and was told inclement weather had them behind schedule and they would call when the work could be done. Three weeks later one of the worst winters and Chicago's history began so that put the work off until March 18th. No complaints once the work was done.

It's been a recurring problem, so we hope it is fixed, but if it isn't we are confident that we would bring Nombach out again to look at it. Our representative was very professional and knowledgeable. The crew did make a mistake due to a misunderstanding of their instructions, but they were sent out promptly without question the next morning to redo the vents, so we were very satisfid.

It went very well. I had dealt with Nombach in the past so I knew how outstanding its work is. The salesman Jack Weber is an incredible agent for the company. The supervisor of the crew who did the actual work was very congenial and accessible. And the work was done efficiently and with due diligence. I would recommend Nombach without any reservations for any roofing job.

The sales person responded rather quickly. He came out the next day and provided me with a estimate. I do feel that he tried to jack up the price even though I am a Angie's list customer. When I informed him that I had two better quotes, he came down to what was more reasonable and because the time frame for getting the job done was much better, I went with this company. As soon as the weather warmed up a little, they came out on a Saturday and did the job in about 3 hours. The workers were polite and efficient. The gutters look good. The weather has turned cold and is below 0 now, therefore I can't tell at this time if there are any problems. I can always call them if need be. However, I really that it will be necessary.

Cliff was awesome. Very helpful with all home questions. Took my husband on the roof and they went over every inch of the roof. He explained how my husband could fix the areas inexpensively since we didn't need a new roof at this time.

Cliff's estimate was spot on, he fully explained the work that would be done. Work was started 15 days after the estimate and the majority of the work was completed in 2 days, crew was prompt and cleaned up after each day of work. Some minor adjustments needed to be after the main work was completed. The crew came back and quickly completed the additional tasks. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that was performed and had no issues getting the crew back for those minor corrections.

I had to have the ceiling done and when they redid the ceiling we found that these roofers left, 2 pieces rotten wood up there next brand new wood. When I called and complained they offered to fix the mistake for $85 an hour. Later they offered to do it for free but I had someone else working at this point I don't trust them to do the work.

We wanted to have our building resealed. Nombach gave us a quote. We signed a contract with them to do the resealing. I asked them to include some specifics into the contract for work we needed to be done. After the contract was signed, I received an email & call from an Eddie Bachler stating the price they quoted us in the contract was being voided by the owner because it wasn't priced correctly. This was the day they were supposed to come out and do the work. The company came back and gave us another quote which was almost double what they originally quoted in the contract.

They did an okay job. However, they did put some cement in my flower garden and I was not happy about that. They did come back out and removed part of it. They did say that other people did have complaints about the cleanup and they have fired the workers who were responsible. They do seem to stand behind their work. I am using them again soon for tuck pointing.

He was great, he was very responsive. He gave us an estimate, however, we found someone to do it for less.

It went really well. I wouldn't say there was anything I disliked. Everything went really well.

They were very courteous, very professional and I was really impressed that they were hard workers because they worked in shifts. One person would take a break and the others would still be working so they continuously worked. Thy cleaned up after themselves and I was very impressed with them.

Excellent!!! I was sold from the beginning. I chose 3 companies from Angie's List. I set appointments for all 3 on the same day. Nombach's representative Cliff Mock had the first appointment on 6.13.2013. He blew the others out of the water before I even had a chance to interview them. He is professionalism personified. He took me from A to Z. First Introducing me to Nombach (the Company); he had a book which provided me with a list of homes (including their addresses) that I could view to see Nombach's completed work in my area; he provided me with a copy of Nombach's State of Illinois and City of Chicago Licenses; he actually got on the roof and took pictures of the existing gutters and showed me exactly what was needed; he provided a written estimate explaining step by step what the Crew would be doing (if I decided to hire Nombach); he explained the acceptable forms of payment; he answered all my questions during the interview and between the time from 6.13.2013 to 9.27.13, when the installation was completed. (the time lapse was all me) Questions were answered with patience and in laymen terms. I was totally informed when I made my decision as to which company to use. There was no pressure to rush into a contract; no down payment was required when signing the contract and no payment was required until the job was completed to my satisfaction. The Crew was an extension of what I got from Cliff. They were timely, courteous, responsive, clean and they spoke and understood the English language. The job was completed in 4 hours. They even installed one of the old downspouts on my garage, with no extra charge and no lip. Believe it or not there is more, but I think you get the message Thanks to all of the information Cliff provided, I was able to vet the other two contractors using his information and there was no comparison. Nombach's price was the most expensive, but Cliff worked with me and I added a Chimney to the deal making Nombach's price comparable to the others. I have learned from experience that sometimes the least expensive is not the best route to take. I will be contracting with Nombach and 8.29.13 for Tuck-pointing. Thank Nombach, Cliff and Crew for a job well done!

Cliff came over for the estimate on Wednesday evening 7/17. He spent quite a bit of time with us going over what repairs needed to be made. He was very thorough in his assessment of the work that I needed to have done. He also didn't attempt to get me to purchase more than I needed. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism, presentation as well as his personality. He made us feel very comfortable. His crew started work on Tuesday morning 7/23 and completed by the end of the day. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the work that was done. WOW!! This is my first experience using Nombach and I can assure you that it will not be my last. From what I can see they take pride in their work and it shows. I believe you get what you pay for and I definitely got what I paid for. EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP, PROMPT, COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE.

So as of now I haven't had much leakage or anything because I had the rains so far so good. I would use them again.

They didn't do anything. I didn't schedule the appointment because the person that called me was rude.

Unfortunately, we were unable to use this highly regarded vendor. I left a message a month ago. Then called again 2 weeks later. The woman on the other end of the phone took my information and said someone would call me back. I also followed up a few days later with an email to see if this would be a good touchpoint. A week later, my husband called and recieved the same answer. Someone would call back. We have still not heard back from anyone. My husband and I both felt the woman answering the phones was unfriendly and dis-interested in her job, to say the least. We have given up on working with this service provider and reached out to another provider. They were friendly, professional and have discussed the nature of our issue (with all this rain and a leaky window, they understand the urgency of the situation), and promised / delivered a call-back within a 24-hour period. Hopefully Nombach will begin to start setting expectations for future callers. I would rather hear: We are currently slammed and can't take on more work requests until XYZ date instead of a non-call back [if this is the reason for being unable to return calls].

I called them on Tuesday to schedule an appointment. No one called, they just showed up on Wednesday, I wasn't home so they left their card. I tried to call back again, no return phone call and they just showed up again; which was very out of line and unprofessional and aggressive. Nothing about him seemed fair, and right away he started working me, he seemed to try to find other jobs to do, but I only wanted them to do the tuck pointing. He seemed to be making more work for himself!
