😎👍 Owner Mark is a good guy to talk to and work with. Contractor communication is key for me. His Lead man Gabino and his crew built a very nice cedar encased front awning addition to our Old Georgian house. We are very proud of it and many neighbors have complimented us on it. Planning on building a new back deck with them soon!

If you have a small project, this company might be fine, but for any significant renovation, I would avoid them. We found Next Level through Angie, and like other reviewers, we are now a few years out from our remodel, and we are dealing with major issues. After reading similar experiences online, I reached out to the owner, who had commented to others about making things right, but they had no real intention of helping us either. We chose this company because they seemed flexible and assured us that we could handle the initial demolition ourselves without needing permits, given it was all cosmetic. There was trust at first, and we did not notice any red flags. However, by the end, excuses like it is a matter of he said, she said became common. I kept a detailed project tracking document, emails, and texts to avoid misunderstandings, so that excuse did not hold up. The biggest issue was the project manager, who barely showed up on-site during a 7-month project that was initially supposed to take 4-8 weeks (some of this was waiting on cabinets, which was fine). A major setback was the wrong kitchen flooring. Despite several emails and links to the updated choice, the original floor was installed. Already delayed, we reluctantly accepted it, assured it was a high quality vinyl. Less than two years in, we have had multiple rips and tears, even in low-traffic areas. Today, yet another crack appeared. After the floor mishap, we repeatedly asked the project manager to meet with us in person to align on the remaining work, but there was always side stepping. At one point, he was out of the country and said communication through phone or text would be sufficient. This lack of oversight resulted in them installing cabinets over wall holes that exposed the outside. The excuse? You said you would paint. It was not in the original contract. They begrudgingly added walls to the areas that needed it and per the last few change orders, we happily paid for the work that was done. Once the work wrapped up, we noticed other issues but chose to let some go, exhausted by constant pushback on minor details like missing baseboards and doorframes. After making the final payment, even our painters and cleaning crew commented on the state in which the home was left. The mess from their tile cutting was extensive, since no precautions were taken, so dust permeated our entire home. Our cleaners did a deep clean for $2,000, but we are still finding dust. On top of that, we later found the team had installed cabinets over protective floor coverings, which could trap water and cause damage. Sure enough, water seeped in, causing the particle board to expand along the cabinet edges. In terms of craftsmanship, the grout and sealing work in the bathrooms was sloppy. Mildew forms in the uneven grout, and it is difficult to clean. Scratches and stains were left on our wood floors, as they failed to put down protective coverings. When I reached out again to see if they would at least help with the floor, their response was, we finished this almost 3 years ago; what do you want us to do about it? Vinyl floors should not wear out this quickly. We are not hard on our floors, and it was not even the flooring we wanted in the first place. Next time, we will be much more diligent in our contractor selection.

The workers were very experienced. Completed the work on time. Good clen up after the work was done. I would recommend them.

Prompt response time. Good communication. They were responsive when you call them for any additional information or concerns. They were able to take care of my urgent repair request with decent speed and at a fair price. I had a large deck roof which had one of two wooden support columns that was splitting and started to bow out noticeably. Once we negotiated the price and signed all the paperwork (a key detail Next Level is transparent about and educates the client on! Very professional) Next Level was able to replace both posts with metal ones in a day thus giving me and my family a piece of mind.

The crew was awesome. They cleaned up every day. They answered my questions and explained what was next. Gambino was available and made adjustments I requested. Mark replied quickly to my text messages. I would hire this company without hesitation. My backyard is now safe and beautiful. Very satisfied customer.

I would highly recommend Next Level Construction, Inc for your concrete project. I have had bad experiences before and know an excellent contractor when I see one. Gambino and his crew worked hard and were courteous and helpful all throughout the process. The working conditions were cramped for them, yet the job turned out perfect. They offered solutions for a better fix, and I am Very satisfied.

Mark's crew was professional and expert in the work. They replaced my rundown deck with a beautiful and modern deck. I couldn't be more pleased. They were easy to work with and very patient with all my questions. Excellent at cleaning up after themselves. Beautiful work! I also had them put down cement over the backyard. I love how it looks now. No more weeding and a nice large area to entertain. Mark was always easy to contact and was very responsive to my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend this company.

Steer clear of this company at all costs! I had a similar experience that Sarah N had from reading her review below. I had a complete bathroom rehab back in 2021 and have been discovering over this past year that the work they did was shoddy: water damage to the bathroom tile as well as water breaking through the ceiling and ruining my 1st floor bedroom. All this after spending north of $25K to have the work done. I?ve now had to hire a remediation company to clear out the ceiling plaster and insulation and then dehumidify the room to get rid of all the moisture. The leak was likely there from 2021 so it slowly grew until I?m broke through the wall. A nightmare! I recently called to speak with the owner, Mark, and all he could offer me was that my ?one year warranty has expired? and that the people who worked for him in 2021 ?are no longer with the company.? No remorse, no other suggestions to help. I now have to hire a new contractor to rip out the relatively new bathroom shower and redo it in addition to repairing my ruined bedroom. WARNING: HIRE AT YOU OWN RISK!

Very professional Would hire again

This is our second time working with NextLevel and we will do it again the next time we need to get work done. The latest project was remodeling our basement after some flooding. We got multiple quotes and Markâ s was very reasonable. His team is responsive and pays attention to details. They even stayed late to do an extra coat of paint because it didnâ t look quite right. Weâ re very pleased!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY Our experience with Next Level Construction for our basement remodel has been a never-ending nightmare. It's been two years since they worked on our basement, and it's falling apart before our eyes. We cannot emphasize enough how incredibly dissatisfied we are with the subpar quality of their work. The issues we've encountered include: Bathroom Tile Disaster: They tiled the bathroom directly on drywall! nothing was waterproof. The bathroom tile they installed has pulled up and is now in such disrepair that it needs to be entirely redone because of water damage. It's an unacceptable flaw for such a recent renovation. Failing Flooring: The flooring throughout our basement is also falling apart in various areas. The shoddy workmanship is painfully evident. Corner Cutting: It's clear that Next Level Construction took shortcuts and cut corners throughout the project. The overall quality of their work does not justify the substantial amount we paid for their services. We strongly caution anyone considering hiring Next Level Construction for their home improvement project. Our experience with them has been a costly and frustrating ordeal. Please learn from our mistakes and avoid this company at all costs.

They were very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. Excellent work. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to upgrade their house. The project turned out great. Mark is VERY professional and is interested in ensuring the customer is happy. He provided new concrete for the walkways and carport to my home. He also completed my roofing needs by having his team replace the overlay and ensuring the roof is sealed with the membrane. My roof has been a thorn in my parents and now my side for a great many years. This is the first time I feel â wholeâ and confident that the roof will hold. Thank you Mark!

Always there to answer questions, Hard working and always cleaned up at the end of the day

Mark followed up with me shortly after posting my inquiry on Home Advisor. He gave me the best of three estimates to tear down my old porch and rebuild a new porch with an adjoining little deck suitable for the space availability in my yard. He also included some electrical work and additional work which was not offered by previous contractors. His carpenter and workers began work within a week of the estimate. They worked long hours to complete the job in less than a week. The guys were very respectful to both me and my property and were really great, friendly guys. They checked with me throughout the various stages of the project to ensure that I approved and was happy with what they were doing. They cleaned up beautifully after each day of work. Mark also checked in with me throughout the project to ensure I was happy with the workers and the progress being made. I couldnâ t be happier with my new deck and porch constructed by Next Level Construction and I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Concrete sidewalk work was excellent. Staff was very careful with surrounding landscape/ plantings. Cleaned up very carefully. Very happy with the concrete work. Some initial problems with a wood fence installation but Mark stuck with it until all issues were resolved.

We hired Next Level Construction in 2020 to pour a cement patio, sidewalk and build a back porch. We were impressed with the workmanship and results. We called Mark in June, 2022 about a gut rehab of our Chicago Bungalow kitchen, originally built in 1913. All phases of the project went smoothly: design, demolition, carpentry, floor tile, countertops, appliance installation, plumbing and electricity. Each team of workmen were professional, skilled and considerate. We felt respected and confident that we were getting their best work. We had access to Mark and his project manager Jorge throughout. They responded quickly to our every question. We knew Next Level would do a good job but our expectations were exceeded on every level. I would highly recommend Next Level for exterior or interior work, The management is great and the workers are terrific!
