Many friends and acquaintances were aware that we were doing a six-figure remodel of our house. When they ask if we have a contractor to recommend, we provide them the name of the second contractor we hired because Mark and the Next Level Construction were overpriced, had over promised, underdelivered, and were quite frankly unprofessional and difficult to deal with. We asked for about 10 projects to be completed which he estimated 8-9 weeks (and we added on about an additional week worth of work at the beginning of the project). Not only did this project end up taking over 7 months to complete so 3.5 times longer than promised, we actually agreed to part ways before full completion. Based on Marks promise to be able to complete the job in this timeframe, my partner and I both sold and closed on our condos with over 7 weeks for Mark to complete enough of the project to make it livable (Mark knew this timeline and told us it would be fine). However, we had to live in a hotel for about two weeks and then live in our attic for about three weeks because they were not able to complete basic requirements we asked for to live in the house (and there was over a week that workers were not in the house at all during this time). Even when we were able to live in the remainder of the house, we did not have a fully functional bathroom for additional month (four months into project) and functioning kitchen for an additional two months (so five months into the project). Because Mark left for Florida, his project management fell on us. I would call and text him to obtain updates or identify where projects were at (or to note small things that needed corrected), and he would ignore many of my calls and texts. Furthermore, when workers were not here for over a week at a time (which happened a couple of times), I would finally get a hold of him, and he would say Well what do you want me to do? His tone was annoyance and at times would get aggressive when I was just trying to gauge how to get the work done and understand the massive hold up. He further asked why I was annoyed. He was confused because he said we only had a punch list of work to complete. However, because he was not here to check up on the job, he could not see that there were holes in our wall and we did not even have one room that was fully complete at that time. Furthermore, because he was not managing the project, he would often go back and forth on what was in the actual scope. We would have to pull up old text messages and emails to confirm what we had agreed to, as he would try to back track on things that he said he would do or what was included (and he even tried to change a change order so that he did not have to pay for one of the projects that went slightly over budget). In other words, we had to do a lot more of the management than what we should have had to do and we had to stay on top of every small detail of the project (luckily we were organized). The projects we started with Mark were only a subset of what we wanted to do. However, because he failed to communicate, oftentimes did not execute as planned (having to redo projects a couple of times), and provided us a quote for our deck almost twice as much as others to do the SAME work, we ultimately found a new contractor to finish many of the jobs we still needed. And there was definitely a night and day contrast between the two contractors, with the new being more attentive, fairly priced, and willing to communicate. We could continue about how his workers made us feel uncomfortable in our own home through their comments or actions, or how his foreman asking why we were holding up payment (when we had not talked with Mark for months about a final payment as they were not complete), or how his workers told us we were NOT a priority for them, but we think you get the point that our experience with Next Level Co

Mark provided a fair price and assigned an amazing crew for our bathroom gut rehab. Genaro, Omar & Francisco were thorough, highly skilled, and friendly throughout. They are, creative problem solvers who are attentive to precision and detail. A big shout out to Francisco who did a great job with the marble tile. We laid it out in advance and he installed it exactly. Genaro & Omar are a super team, working together seamlessly to get the job done and went above and beyond to make sure that the bathroom site and construction dust contained, the floors protected and everything covered. The cleanup afterwards was thorough. They show pride & joy in working with us and the result is a lovely, new bathroom just as we envisioned it. Couldn't be happier.

Mark and the crew did an outstanding job in building the deck. He showed up same day the quote was requested. The have built many decks with lots of excellent examples. He was very timely with design, quote, and needed paperwork for the HOA. Even though materials were difficult to procure and prices have skyrocketed with COVID, he was able to get exactly what we needed. His crew is highly knowledgeable and motivated. They went above and beyond to ensure 100% satisfaction. I have recommended Mark and Next Level Construction to my neighbors, who are highly impressed with the outcome.

I worked with Next Level to convert my back porch into a sun room and install a patio. Jorge and his team understood what I was looking for, suggested ways to enhance the project, and designed and built a customized cabinet and half-door which exactly matched my needs. The whole project was completed in 2 weeks which is outstanding! I'll be working with them again on the next project.

I first worked with Mark and his company in I think 2017/2018 for a patio in my back yard. I is beautiful and still looks as new as the day it was done. Fast forward to June 2021. I contacted Mark again, I wasn't sure if he was still in business with the pandemic and all. He was. I told him I needed my bathroom remodeled, he came by, went through with me on what I wanted, wrote it all down and I got financed for the project. It took 1 week & 2 days and it's perfect, I mean they gutted it, insulated, fixed a leak in my ceiling, new tub, facet, shower head, etc. It's beautiful and I love it. His crew that he has working with him were really nice and they kept their schedule every single day and let us know if they would be longer on anything. I plan on using them again in the next 2yrs or less.

I needed my front walk and doorstep replaced. Mark was quick to answer my estimate inquiry. I felt like he gave me a fair estimate. He explained the process in the simplest terms. He told me he wouldn't touch the concrete until it was 60 degrees. Lo and behold, after about 3 days of 60 degree weather, his guys were out removing the old concrete. Removal to pouring took about 1 week (there was a rainy day in there). Mark answered all my questions promptly and with great professionalism. The process was incredibly efficient. If I need more work done, Mark and Next Level will definitely get my business.

Absolute garbage work. Hired to remodel bathroom, stair, and install electrical in the kitchen with tile. Inconsistent schedule, no showing for weeks at a time, and noncommunicative until they demand money. The tile work is trash. This team has no clue how to do these jobs (one of many examples: used trim caulk in the bathroom, crumbling apart, not waterproofed, sloppy)- do not let them lie to you by providing pictures of **his shared projects with his son** This is a scam. Much of the project had to be redone. laying cracked til, uneven, and falling apart in less than a year.

Great job on my basement floor

I felt the price was fair considering the current economy for building materials. They spelled out all the available options and how they would impact the price. The workers were competent, courteous and willing to discuss options for the project. Next time I'm considering another project around my home, I'll be sure to contact Mark, the owner, for a quote from Next Level.

Every worker that was on my property during the job , was kind knowledgeable, and cleaned up the job site after each day. Mark was helpful from beginning to end. I will hire them again, you should to.
