New Edge Improvement Co

We typically don’t do reviews but in the case of New Edge Improvement, we wanted to let people know how pleased we were with their service and work. The need started with noticing some water marks in our upstairs ceiling following a hail storm in the area. We saw their sign posted in a neighbor’s yard and thought we would give them a try. They came to our house, conducted a preliminary inspection, explained the process to us and, with our permission, acted on our behalf to work with our insurance carrier (a major, well-known name). The entire process was reputable and professionally handled. Upon further inspection, additional damage was noted. The carrier was initially reluctant to include certain items in our claim but, as promised, They fought on our behalf and worked with them to re-assess and ensure we received all that were legitimately entitled to. At no point did we feel we were taking advantage of our insurance carrier and; we are certain that with their knowledge, negotiating abilities and expertise, they were able to have more covered in the claim than if we had handled it on our own. As for the quality of the work, it was top-notch (and we are very particular). The crews were courteous and professional as well. With a new roof, new downspouts, new screens a painted fence and a new garage door, we couldn’t be happier. If remodeling/renovations are in our future, they are at the top of our list. We strongly recommend New Edge Improvement.

I was in need of a roofer and after meeting with three companies my son and I decided to go with New Edge Improvement. We were not disappointed. New Edge Improvement did a very nice job at a reasonable cost. Shortly thereafter we needed repairs in our two story building due to water damage. Again we were not disappointed. They replaced several ceilings and walls on both floors. Simon, Derrick, and the rest of crew were friendly and professional. I am so proud of the work that they did! I own several apartment building in the Elmwood Park, Illinois area. One of the building's roof developed a leak. I contacted several roofing contractors in the area to repair/replace the roof, but they were either too busy (?) or uninterested in doing the job. A friend referred New Edge Improvements and I gave them a call. Within several days, the owner (Greg) met me at the building, thoroughly inspected the roof, and gave me a reasonable estimate to completely remove and replace the leaking roof. Additionally, he added the replacement of the garage roof and gutters which were in bad shape, again at a price that was competative. His crew arrived at the agreed date and for the next week tore off the old roofs, replaced any damaged substructure and replaced the roofs and gutters. Several years later, a tenant damaged the gutter on the garage. Within notifying New Edge of the damage, they repaired the damage in 48 hours. When another of my building's roofs sustained damage due to a hail storm, they worked with the insurance company and replace the roof in short order. Again quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I gave him 5 Stars, but he really deserves more. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Excellent quality work. Responsive customer service. Timely completion of both jobs. In fact, for the second job, the guys showed up same day as requested, got the work done and did an amazing job with the detail. It was a nuanced job because they were replacing siding around a deck. I can't say enough.

It never happened. My address was out of service area. Some guy from AL named Mario called. Said get another and he would refund the first. Got the other and paid. Never got the refund. This is the fourth time I have asked to get this fixed.

Marcin was very professional and responsive. He called me back within minutes if he missed my call. They did a great job on the roof. Started work within a week or two of my hiring them. Seemed to be thorough from what I read about roof replacements online. Came back to do the gutters a week or two later, which was not an issue. One of the gutter spouts was installed differently from how we originally had it and we were worried that water would run back into the house if rains are very heavy. I asked Marcin to come back and change the direction of the water spout and to add length to it. I paid him in full at the time. He came back a few weeks later to make the change, just as he promised! Overall, I was very happy with them. They did a great job and I thought the price was very reasonable, considering several other companies had quoted us nearly $2000 more in a couple of cases. Those companies, I believe, were trying to take advantage of us because we had a leak in the roof and winter was coming, so they must have thought they could dupe us into the extra cost because we were in a bind. Glad I found Marcin and New Edge to save me from these companies with no integrity! I had another company give me a bit of a lower quote but went with New Edge Improvements because they were available right away. Thanks, Marcin and team!

Martin's crew did a very thorough job of my tear off, flat roof-- I would recommend them.

When the provider came out to look at the job, he informed me that it would cost an additional $2000.00 before he actually went up to do the measurements. He stated that the deal was actually only for a small house, although the deal specified it would be for a 2-story house. I then asked him if he would at least go up on the roof to make sure. Once he did that and came down, he said it would for sure be at least an extra $2,000.00. I knew that there may be additional costs, but that is extremely more than what was in my budget, as I only wanted the basic job done. He assured that the additional costs would ensure that the job would be done in 2 weeks, which is very fast compared to other companies. I asked him to give me a paper proposal in writing as to why it would be so much more money, but he never provided me with that. He did call back to see if I wanted to start the job, but that is extremely more than I was planning. I found another local company that offered to do the job for the amount the deal offered, no extra costs.

Martin responded promptly to my call and came our within a few days. He was very respectful of my family, my home and my time. As my insurance company was involved he suggested acting as our agent when the adjuster came. The entire project took several weeks from start to finish due to ins. Co protocols. Martin and his company made the authorized repairs to my satisfaction. Martin was easy to do business with. I would use him again.

Upon arrival, I told provider that I had a leak in the main roof and a slight leak in the sun porch roof. After inspection, the provider commented that the main roof had already been attended to by a previous roofer. He quoted me a price for redoing the porch roof and made no further mention of the main roof. The next day we had a rainstorm and the main roof leaked again. For the price, I thought that minor obvious repairs were included and that if necessary, an inspection from inside the house would be included. I was so put off by his dismissal of the leak in the main roof, that I didn't ask him to inspect from inside.

Marcin (owner) was good to work with. He showed up on time for the initial meeting at my convenience. He measured and provided a verbal estimate immediately. He was about $1,000 higher than the least expensive estimate that I had, but upon a little negotiation, came down very close to the less expensive estimate. A more established contractor quoted a price $6,000 higher for the same work. I decided to go with Marcin because of his perceived professionalism and availability of scheduling (the least expensive estimate was 6-8 weeks out for the work). Marcin provided a written estimated when requested with a low payment required at the time the material was delivered and the job started, He communicated with me and let me know the approximate time frame for the service and then followed-up with a definitive schedule (roof one day, fascia and soffit two days later and gutters on the fourth day. The crew showed up and completed all work in the promised time. They were easy to work with and explained what they were doing and asked how I wanted some specific aspects of the work completed. They replaced some wood on the roof at no extra expense. All roof flashings including flashings for the plumbing stacks were replaced, along with all of the mushroom vents (an additional one added) and all of the vent hoods replaced (four small and two large ones). Clean-up of the yard was good except for a few little pieces of the old roof under some shrubs and flowers. Marcin stopped by each day at the end of the day to make sure that everything was OK. I would definitely recommend Marcin's company for this type of work. (FYI: He may be a little difficult to understand for some people because of his Polish accent, but I didn't have any trouble)

The inspection went very well. There were some minor repair items needed that they took care of during the inspection. It was a breath of fresh air.

To Whom It May Concern: After a significant hailstorm in our area, (Addison,IL.) we were approached daily by phone, flyer and doorbell by representatives of various contractors. New Edge Improvement Marcin introduced himself and the company at my front door. I was immediately taken with his quiet air of professionalism and an intangible "something" which just said he was a good guy. He was patient and persistent without being a pest. He worked very well with our insurance adjustor. He was knowledgeable and informative. It was obvious that he wanted our business but he was never pushy. We felt that he did everything possible to see that we were as well served as possible after this event and went out of his way to assist us with our issues and called on his supervisor for complications. Our roof was replaced just great by New Edge Improvement---it took them a day to complete the job. Martin New Edge Improvement representative was consistent about overseeing the work, coming to the house whenever he said he would, explaining as we went along. Everything happened as we had been led to believe it would, cleanup was excellent and our many flower beds were intact. He brought his younger brother who he is training and both these young men are delightful and marvelous ambassadors for New Edge Improvement company. It all went really well, the job was done well, quickly, no issues with contact, the price was the lowest compared to all other estimates. All of the work was done, leaving no mess at all. The time it took them was amazing, I would not expect it to be done so fast. Very friendly and professional. I would definitely hire this company again when needed, and would recommend them to others.

New Edge Improvement is great , they were always friendly, and they cleaned up after themselves very well. Because they are so good, they are very busy, so scheduling might not always be immediate. I have to give a shout-out to Monika, the office manager, who is skilled and knowledgeable in both construction and the insurance aspect of the job. My roof had hail damage, so insurance paid for much of this job. Monika always knew what was going on with the job, and never lost track of me and the work I needed done.

We've been in our old house for 13 years and it had 4 layers of old roofing on it. Our job was not an easy one. New Edge did a good job of removing the roof and patching up areas of rotted wood on the roof where it was needed. As well, it was necessary to replace playwood almost the entire roof of the house. As I believe happens with the majority of construction type work, there were a couple of issues in regard to fixing some aluminum trim flashing on the house, however that was correctly quickly by Champion. Thankfully, New Edge had documented the additional cost wood repairs with photos prior to the new shingles being put on. So, bottom line is this. Our roof looks great and I would highly recommend New Edge.
