The contractor was prompt in responding. When called for an estimate I got a fast response and schedule date. He finished the work earlier than expected and charged much less than the other companies costs. The area was completely cleaned and all excess materials. I’m looking forward to working with this company in the near future.

Louis Mejia was fire for breach of contract, and lack of attendance. Electrician and Carpenter had shown up without Louis guiding them or instructing them on what to do on day one. Light fixtures were hung incorrectly to were they could not be mounted. Carpenter complained that Louis was not there at the time he said he was going to be there. Louis had called me to inform me of times he was going to be there and come at a different time then leave after 4 hours. Louis stated at the time of contract he would be working 12 hour days and didn't. Louis failed to provide the brochure for under the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act (815 ILCS 513) Section 20(a) further more Louis refuses to repay the ramaining balance of the ammount back which is a violation of The Illinois Consumer Fraud and Business Practices Act (“Fraud Act”) (815 ILCS 505). Louis stated the basement would be completed in 2 weeks and that the cracked foundation would be taken care of he fixed one crack out of two causing my basement to leak which is pictured below. Also he demoed my kitchen and did not build or keep a promise that a migshift kitchen would be set up nor did he listen when told do not demo my kitchen until everything is at the house he did it anyway and left us with no kitchen for a week. He was told not to demo the master bath until that stuff was at the house he did and left me and my wife with a 2 year old son with no shower for 4 weeks. Pictures of that are posted.
