NETZEL PLUMBING

I used Netzel Plumbing twice a few years ago. I had positive experiences both times, so when my master bathroom toilet in my condo started running at night, I decided to use them again to resolve the issue. Big mistake. I don’t know if they’ve changed management or ownership, but my experience this time was completely different. The plumber came out on December 23 to inspect the toilet and told me that it looked like the issue was that the flapper seal needed to be replaced. He said he didn’t have that type of seal with him and needed to run to the store. He purchased the seal and came back to install it. He told me that the fill valve and angle stop should be updated as well, but it wasn’t urgent. He took out the old fill valve but then said he’d need the water shut off to install the new one. I had told the person who set up the appointment that my building needs advanced notice to shutoff my tier’s water and had been told that wouldn’t likely be needed. The plumber said I could schedule that at a later date since it wasn’t urgent. He noticed the tank was taking while to fill up so poured water from his bucket into the tank and then had me pay the invoice. Since I trusted his expertise and he seemed eager to be off to the next appointment since he was behind schedule due to his previous appointment, I didn’t ask him to stay to make sure the new seal worked properly. I assumed it would, but the next day I was unable to flush my toilet and when I tried filling the tank up with water it wouldn’t stay in the tank. I emailed the main address and texted the plumber to let them know the issue, which I thought might be due to the new seal since I did not have any issues flushing or the tank holding water before the appointment. The plumber said he’d try to find time to come out over the weekend, but since it was a holiday weekend, I said it could wait until Monday. No further word from him or any response from the company until I called back twice on Tuesday before finally having someone gets back to me. I relayed the problem to the company and they said the plumber would come out Wednesday night to check out the toilet. He came on Wednesday with another plumber and said the new seal was working, but sediment must be causing blockage in the fill valve from when he was working on it the previous week. I was told there was nothing he could do to fix the toilet and that I’d need to schedule yet another appointment to install a new fill valve and angle stop. I feel frustrated going from having a working toilet before my first appointment with Netzel to a week without a working toilet after the plumber’s first visit. In addition to being left without a working toilet, I also think I may have been overcharged. As a single woman, I’m always cautious about being taken advantage of, but thought I could trust their company due to previous experiences. After paying the invoice, I noticed how much higher the cost was compared to my 2018 appointment for a similar issue in my guest bath toilet that required a new seal as well. This 1.25 hour appointment cost me $247, yet I was charged $116 for 1.5 hours work on a similar toilet issue. I would hope they wouldn’t unfairly charge me higher pricing, but with all of the issues I’ve had with them this time, I can’t help but wonder if I was. I’ll be using another plumbing company to fix the toilet Netzel messed up since I sadly don’t feel I can trust them moving forward.

The plumber who came out, Al, was knowledgable and efficient.

Netzel was amazing. We had a shower tile guy who had been recommended by Rocky and who Rocky said also knew a fair amount about plumbing. When the fixtures came in, Rocky suggested to me that the tile guy install them because he would charge less than Netzel. We used the tile guy for the installations but Netzel did all of the other bathroom plumbing and solved lots of problems.

Within an hour he located the problem, cleared up the blockage and made sure that the pipes were cleared!

They were quick, punctual, and cleaned up the area after the work was finished.

They arrived on time, removed all of the old materials, cleaned up after themselves, and installed the new custom-order toilet. The plumbers were kind, helpful, clean, and professional. I've used them several times, but this was the largest project we've had with them.

Superb. Netzel accommodated our schedule, worked fast, did an outstanding job. They're also nearby. I intend to use them as much as possible in the future.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to hire Netzel Plumbing. I was extremely pleased with my experience with the company and the plumber (Sean) who came out to fix the leaks. Sean was punctual, did a good job of explaining what work needed to be done and was very efficient. He did a superb job and impressed both agents and myself with his work. I will only be using Netzel Plumbing moving forward.

They were great. I have used 2 or 3 other plumbers but Netzel was by far the best! They were courteous, explained things and made sure that I got my discount. Al was completely on top of things!

From the time I called their office they were at my house and finished in under 2 hours. It only too about 3 minutes to unclog the drain so they took $25 off my estimate. My usual guy was not available that day (I was going out of town and needed quick) but he did give me a lower quote. Seemed rather expensive to me for less than 5 minutes of work. Overall, they were quick, responsive, did quality work, but expensive.

They were on time, hustled the entire time they were here, and cleaned up the work area. He was professional and explained what they were doing at each step so we had a good understanding of what the final price would be. I felt the pricing was reasonable as well and came in lower than other quotes I received. Would use them again.

Initial response to Angie's List offer inquiry was a little slow (but within the guaranteed timeline). Scheduled service for a Monday morning and the plumbers arrived in a timely fashion. They were very friendly and the quality of work was good.

The replacement of my kitchen sink faucet was an especially difficult installation, as the location of the plumbing lines were in a very small space between the industrial size sink and the middle supports of the kitchen island. I think most plumbers would not have even attempted to mess with this; it was certainly a challenge. But James did an amazing job! And then Mr. Netzel called me later that afternoon to say that the amount charged was wrong and he refunded the extra I paid by mistake. That is not something that happens very often!! Netzel Plumbing is in my book now - will always use them for future plumbing needs.

Done very quickly and without any issues. I called them at 10:00am and left a message. Got a call back within 15 minutes and service call within the hour. It was all done.

Extremely well! I am very pleased with Rocky and his crew. I needed a plumber to complete my loft rehab. I had let my contractor go and needed a plumber in a short amount of time. I found Netzel plumbing here and Angie's list and sent a request for an estimate. Rocky contacted me quickly and was available to work within a few days. I am scheduled to complete the bath fixture installments next week. Such a professional, clean, and courteous crew. I have already recommended them to my clients needing plumbing help. (I am an interior designer). I plan to use Netzel for all my future clients and for my own personal needs. In my industry it is very seldom to find a company to trust and I trust Netzel plumbing. They are the real deal with reasonable rates.

Great. The plumber, Al, did a terrific job and was patient with my requests to leave things just as I needed them to complete the bathroom remodel. He encountered unexpected problems which I volunteered to add to the original bid for the project. He was quite fair in the final billing. I have used this company on three other occasions and I have always been pleased with their workmanship and their pricing.

They were slow to return my initial call, but once they did, they were very responsive. The plumber did a great job making the repair and went above and beyond to suggest and fix additional things on the faucet and drain within the same time I was going to have to pay for anyway. He was courteous and professional and I really appreciated his attitude. I will use them again for sure.

Very prompt in responding, Rocco consulted via email and phone to make sure understood situation and outline needed approach. knowledgable about particular problem. Came, determined specific parts needed and then obtained parts, came back promptly with parts and finalized repair. Adjusted temperature appropriately very neat, removed shoes to prevent damage to flooring. explained situation and need. excellent work!

He was very professional and provided all the information we needed to address our plumbing issues. He fixed our original garbage disposal however, upon suggestion we went ahead and has him replace it with a new one. He also fixed a noisy toilet fill tank issue that has been an ongoing problem.

FANTASTIC! I called in the morning and talked to Rocky who was very knowledgeable and able to accurately estimate the amount of time it would take to fix the leak. He was able to send out Al within a few hours. Al was very knowledgeable, professional, realistic and quick. Al fixed it and re-ran the copper to a better configuration which will be good if we ever need a repair in the future. He was accurate on his estimate and did a fantastic job. I will certainly use Netzel again in the future!

Rocco - owner - promptly answered questions via angies list, providing information and estimate based upon info we provided. scheduling was smooth - we called the office, left a message and they got back to us promptly, scheduling the appointment for the same day. Al, plumber, showed up promptly (we had left specific time open as they had other jobs). He quickly understood what needed to be done and set to work. Al worked quietly, installed the faucet and the hot water unit. He was neat and tidy. When he finished, he explained how to operate the unit, the shut off valve, etc. Overall, a good job!

They are on time, efficient, and provided an itemized estimate range. We chose a less expensive, but equally qualified firm.

The two-man team arrived and began running water from various sources in my bathroom, while the second guy stayed int he unti below. They couldn't find the source of the problem, but guessed that the shower enclosure needed to be caulked. They didn't have any silicone caulk and said they would return, which they never did. However, during the winter, while the water was left flowing at a trickle through that tub's drain, it became apparent that that it was the source of the problem. I also asked them to look into why my upstairs shower had stopped working. The guys took down manufacturer's info but no one ever got back to me. When I later called the company in December, after all my water issues came to a head, he said his guys did everything they possibly could, even though they did not find the leak.

I called Netzel Plumbing at 10:30am and they had a plumber at my door at 10:45am. They had to open up the wall in the basement to remove & replace the pipe leading to our outside faucet. They replaced the pipe and included a stop & drain valve to help prevent future damage if the pipe should happen to freeze again. The service technician was very kind & informative. Yet, he was focused on getting the job done as quickly as possible. We will definitely reach out to Netzel Plumbing for future needs. Thanks for the quick response.
