I needed shades for some very large windows in my living. Charles was very flexible in scheduling appointments around my busy schedule. The whole project went like clockwork, and the install went very well. I would definitely use this firm again.

Overall, it was a postive experience and we were very pleased.

My overall experience with this company was very positive. In addition to the great reviews on Angie's List, , my first impression of Charles was extremely professional, honest and focused on customer satisfaction. He was extremely accommodating when it came to assisting me with samples, making recommendations for the type of floor that would be appropriate for this level. I wanted something that looked like hardwood floors, but could withstand any potential flooding. After looking at multiple options, he suggested that I go to a showroom for the best selection of quality tile. Once I found the tile, we placed the order and it was anticipated that it would arrive in a few weeks. Once it arrived, Charles arrived with his lead guy - Kamil-- who ended up doing this installation with another gentlemen. He was exceptional. The tile looked great, however the grout color ended up coming out lighter than the sample. They quickly contacted the manufacturer and found a product to correct the color. All in all, the floors look beautiful and they did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend them to do any future product. They are reputable and very focused on your satisfaction.

They were very polite. The stone floor was really nice. However, the tile stopped abruptly (between different floors). They came out within 48 hours and put in a rubber transition piece to give a finished look between the two flooring surfaces.

I contacted Charles from a newspaper ad about ecoflooring. He came to my home with samples of a couple of kinds of flooring. I then asked about cork floors so he sent me some samples in the mail. Then I wanted to know about bamboo and he also sent those samples. As I was still undecided due to the nature of the flooring I was replacing/covering, Charles visited again and we discussed the options. I decided to go with a vinyl tile product primarily because of its durability. although aesthetics also played a part in the decision . The tile had to stand up to both the kitchen and the adjoining study which has some heavy furniture in it as well as complement maple cabinets in the kitchen and pine furniture plus knotty pine paneling in the study. When I learned that Nationwide was in Angie's LIst, I asked Charles and he gave us the Angie's list discount. I also felt more confident in going ahead with the order. The person who was to lay the floor came the day before to drop off the tiles and discuss placement options, e.g. staggered, diagonal, regular. This was helpful because I could not imagine what to choose until I had the chance to experiment for a while. The next morning, the floor person arrived around 8 am with a helper and they were here till about 5 pm. I heard from Charles that there was still an unfinished section of the study so another couple of hours would be needed the next day. This occurred.What I liked best about Nationwide, apart from Charles' kind and cooperative manner, was the skill and craftsmanship of the floor people. The attention to detail in the placement of the tiles, the care in making the cuts around our radiators and the salvaging of our quarter rounds (which had come from Home Depot 10 years earlier but were now nowhere to be found apparently) was wonderful. The rooms were left clean and tidy both days as well. It took so much of the stress out of the process to have this level of service.

Charles and his workers were really terrific. My basement flooded in July and I had to perform a complete restoration of the basement unit. He was very flexible about date of performance -- my restoration contractor fell behind but Charles was willing to adjust the installation schedule to accommodate the rest of the work. He was also sensitive to my price and quality concerns and did a great job in providing advice about the type of carpet that would meet my goal (durable for at least three years until I could save enough to replace the carpet with ceramic tile). I plan to use him again when the carpet wears out and I have enough money to put ceramic throughout the unit.

Charles came out with a wide variety of samples. It was our first time purchasing window treatments, so we needed assistance in figuring out what we wanted. My one critique is that it would have been helpful if Charles had taken more of the lead in guiding us, but he was very conscious of giving us as many options as possible. It was a little bewildering/overwhelming. Eventually, we decided on the color and type of shade for the front room and the blackout shades for the bedroom. We had another provider who was very impressive, but Charles' price was, by a significant margin, the most competitive. The date was set for installation. Charles and his team were punctual and the work proceeded very efficiently -- it was done in one morning. Once completed, Charles noticed that the shade in the front room was not precisely centered. As well, the blackout shade over the bedroom balcony doors required additional adjusting to reach the floor. Another appointment to address these issues was made and the repairs were again, quickly and efficiently made. Throughout, Charles was extremely responsive to all of our emails and was very invested in making sure that we were pleased with his service. We are delighted with the shades and would definitely recommend Nationwide to our friends.

My husband and I experienced water damage in a high rise rental condo unit, which caused significant damage to the flooring in the kitchen, living room and dining room. I reviewed Angie's List for flooring contractor recommendations and obtained three estimates. Charles Jones, of Nationwide Flooring and Windows, was responsive to my request for an estimate and handled the process quickly. My husband and I explored several options for new flooring with Charles (i.e., laminate, hardwood, resilient vinyl, etc.) and decided on an engineered maple hardwood. Charles was very patient and helpful to us during the decision-making process. He took my husband and I to see an installation that his company was doing to help us evaluate a potential flooring material, as well as a warehouse containing various flooring materials. After we made the final decision, Charles guided us through the necessary requirements for condo flooring installation (i.e.,soundproofing underlays and paperwork for the board approval process). He was very knowledgeable and thorough in facilitating a smooth, efficient process of communication with our condo building's management and board. Installation went smoothly and the new flooring looked excellent. The only significant glitch was caused by the flooring manufacturer. Upon our initial inspection of the work, my husband and I found several darker-shaded planks of flooring installed among the lighter-shaded maple, a look we did not want. Charles explained that due to natural variation of wood species, some planks would be darker than others. My husband and I wanted as much uniformity of the maple color as practicable, so Charles and his installer, Camil, replaced the darker planks without issue. Camil did an outstanding job of installing the subflooring and flooring. My husband and I truly enjoyed working with Charles. He handled the entire process in a professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, and easy going manner. He did everything he promised according to the timeframe he gave us. We would definitely hire Charles and Nationwide again!

The service provided was excellent at every stage, from sales through installation. We had not seriously considered shutters originally, until the owner Charles spent hours meticulously and patiently showing us all the window treatment options that met our needs. We felt very well informed about our options, the pros and cons of each, and we had comparative pricing on all the options we considered. We got a quote from another competitor and the pricing Charles provided us was very fair. He further improved the pricing after we decided to get carpet as well. The installers were all polite, thorough and very clean. They came back to fix some minor issues and did a very professional job overall. We have some bay windows that presented some complications for the shutter installers and they did an excellent job of solving those problems. There were some small issues with the carpet installation, which were also addressed promptly and thoroughly. Charles refused final payment until every lost minor issue was addressed. I highly recommend Nationwide Floor and Window Coverings and will look for opportunities to use their services in the future. Charles takes real pride in his work and truly understands the meaning of customer service.

It was for privacy purposes. We live in a condo and we wanted to make sure that the rooms were completely dark. They were by far the most reasonably priced. We would absolutely use them again.

Contracted with Charles @ Nationwide to replace about 18 Oak wood planks, resand and seal our approximate 550 sf East Lakeview Condo. We located Nationwide because another Condo owner in our complex hired them - we saw the results and felt they did a nice job for a fair price. Charles, the owner, was always prompt in returning calls and on time for appointments. His floor sub crew arrived each of three times either on time or early. The last work day to complete the project was July 11th when a thunderstorm took out power for over 800K Chicago residents. They arrived on time in a pouring rain and did a fine job considering the age/condition of our wood floors. We were so impressed we asked Charles to give us a bid to replace our kitchen and bath backsplashes. I would recommend.

As stated above, it could not have gone better. The accuracy and care that went into the detailed estimate was impressive and was played out on the job exactly as predicted.

Things went well. We received a number of quotes for the work, and Nationwide was very competitive in its pricing, beating each of the 3 other quotes we obtained and without games. Charles followed up well between the selection of services (coming twice to help us chose the carpeting) and the installation. The installation was done professionally, timely, and efficiently.

Nationwide Floor and Window Coverings did a GREAT job! We asked for an estimate for installation of 2 skylight blinds. Charles was extremely helpful over the phone and was always punctual for appointments. Their prices were also very competitive and worth every penny! We plan on having some new carpet installed soon and also our hardwood floors redone and we WILL be calling on Charles for these services as well! Nationwide Floor & Window Coverings Company was excellent. They were absolutely incredible. They came to do the estimate the next day I called. They were prompt. They sent me an email the next day with an estimate. They also set up an appointment with me to do the floors. They tried to get me the best deal on allure floors and we had done a lot of research on it ourselves. They said they were able to do the stairs which we didn?t think was possible. The work was done very meticulously. The person who came out to do the estimate contacted me to make sure that everything was okay. Everything from start to finish was flawless. They did a professional job overall. Their pricing was excellent too. The workers were knowledgeable. They followed through. They were trust worthy and I would hire them in the future.

Well. Charles told us that we could refinish the floors in two stages...first the bedrooms then the rest of the house, and his crew would move our furniture around for us. My only issue was that the first night my husband was supposed to stay in our condo, but the crew did more sanding than expected (more than just the two rooms) and there was nowhere for him to sleep (or walk for that matter). I was not informed of the change of plans til after the fact, so it was a little inconvenient for my husband to have to find lodging @ 7:30 pm on a weeknight. Otherwise...our floors look amazing! Charles and crew completed the work in two days, came back on the third day to move furniture back in place, and clean some more! The floors do look amazing.

It was a bit of a long process. Charles came to the house for an initial estimate, took measurements, showed samples and provided consultation. We then went to a showroom to look at more samples and see various options available to us. We had 1 or 2 more in home/showroom consultations and received quotes. We placed the order and Charles was very accomodating on installation dates and times, rushing the order for us during the holiday season. The only issues we had were with the initial installation and some pricing mis-conceptions. Both issues were resolved to our satisfaction. On the second installation one of the shutters was broken. When I called to report this, the repair kits were ordered and the item was fixed in a quick turn around time. Because the house is new, there were many decision points. Some are still outstanding, but I would defefinitely use Charles again as he was accomodating and very friendly. He was willing to work with us on many points, even when it was clear that the decision process and investment for me was somewhat stressful and difficult.

We had a positive experience with them. I got a lot of quotes and they were the lowest. They were really responsive and the shutters look great. I appreciate that they put the treatments up as they came in; other people charged separate installation fees. They have good customer service and they are responsive to questions and phone calls.

I am very happy with my experience with Nationwide. I found Charles (the owner) to be very friendly and easy to reach. I got an estimate from another company and found Nationwide to be the cheapest. Also, as a mom to a small child, it was so nice that Charles brought tile samples to me and measured and ordered the tile. The guys that actually did the installation were friendly and professional. I had one problem with the tile needing to be fixed to fit our new light fixture and the guy was very approachable and happily fixed the issue. We have a small condo (1,000 sq ft) with just one bathroom. It was important that the project be done as quickly as possible and that the toilet be put back on when the guys left. I felt that they did a great job of working with our needs. The project from start to finish was 4 days, which I think is pretty good. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone with a bathroom renovation project. It was true to the estimate and they did a great job.

The owner was incredibly nice and he took a lot of time with us making sure we had exactly what we were looking for in each room. Then he followed up, did a nice job and it looks very pretty.

When Brad came to assess my bathroom project I felt at ease with him right away and he answered all my questions. When I showed him the tile samples I was interested in, he offered (for a small fee) to meet me at the store when I was going to buy it so that he could load it in his company van and deliver when the project was to begin. This was a huge relief to me to not worry about getting the tile inside my 4th floor condo and he only charged $40 for that. Also Brad estimated that the project would last 3 days and considering this is my only bathroom, it was very important to me that the length of time without a bathroom was limited. The project did in fact only last 3 days. Brad and his contractors were very professional. I was set on a specific tile for my shower however when I went to buy the tile, they were low in stock but Brad's tile installer was able to stick to my original design and tile despite the fact that the measurements were showing I would be short on tile. The tile design in my shower was an intricate glass/marble mosaic and it required using more grout than I had purchased. However even though I was short on grout, Brad went out and purchased grout on my behalf and didn't even charge me for it! I would definitely use Brad's flooring again and would recommend them to others. This was my first home project and was nervous but Brad and his staff put me at ease instantly and were open to my ideas and questions. They adhered to their original quote and timeline which I found to be refreshing given all of the horror stories I had heard of with other contractors!

Great experience! I originally called Charles for a quote on basement stair coverings but when he called to set up date to come over with samples, we discussed other projects I had in mind and I told him to bring along blind samples. I ended up getting the blinds and I love them. Charles was good about making sure the wood valance in hallway did not leave any gaps that would be seen when going up staircase. He also made sure to recommend faux as opposed to wood for bathroom to avoid warping. He went above and beyond, as far as assisting me with ideas for the basement stairs because I do not care to spend a lot of money on them. He actually bought some sample products with his own money to bring to me and show me what I could do as alternatives to his tile products. I will definitely use Charles and Nationwide for my basement stair project as soon as I make up my mind what I want to do.

It was an excellent process. We were given a wide variety of options to choose from. We took his bid and also obtained bids from two other contract. This vvendor had the product we wanted at the lowest bid. After we made the contractor selction. A timely installation date was quickly agreed to. The process was neat clean and orderly from beginning to end.

Charles was very responsive, calling me back & setting up an appointment very quickly. He arrived on time & was very patient with me as I explained what I was looking for style wise, plus it had to be made of natural materials-no PVC, no plastic, nylon or rayon. I finally decided what I wanted (he spent over an hour with me!), but in the end, the factory wasn't able to do what I wanted. By the way, no one else has been able to do it either.
