We had a an outstanding experience working with Nancy. She showed up to our first meeting at our house very well prepared and up to speed on the market conditions in our neighborhood. She's incredibly punctual and professional, and dedicated to the success of her clients, and it shows in the results of her work. Nancy made the process of selling our house incredibly smooth by preparing us for every step and talking and coaching us on how we would be best prepared for the sale and being very responsive when we needed to contact her. We even went abroad for part of the time our house was on the market and Nancy was flexible to work over time zones to stay focused on the quick and profitable sale of our home. It worked! We sold our house in a matter of days WAY over the asking price. We were so impressed with Nancy's support and professionalism through the whole process and we could not be more pleased with the service level provided. Nancy is truly committed to her profession. I've had other realtors in the past that do this as a part-time gig, but no - this is Nancy's full-time passion. She has been in the business for a while and she has a lot of advice to share. My one cautionary piece of advice: don't contact Nancy unless you are ready to put in the work it takes to make your house listing-ready! She hit the ground running! I already had an idea of the changes I wanted to make to my house (new back splash and counter top, new decorative accents, etc) when Nancy toured my home. I am a big fan of HGTV so I thought I had that piece covered. Nancy agreed with a lot of my ideas but also offered a brand new perspective on how to adjust my design plan to make a bigger impact. We also discussed finances and how much of a return I could expect if I sold the home in its current condition vs after making these updates. I decided to continue with the updates. She gave me a name of three contractors she was familiar with. For one reason or another, none of those three worked out. She later remembered another contractor who was closer to my house (I was in Forest Park and Nancy wasn't as familiar with that area yet). The contractor she referred is named Raul and right away I got a good vibe from him. Thoughout the short reno period, Nancy kept in touch. She answered emails almost immediately, no matter what time of day it was. She had the photo shoot scheduled soon after the reno was done and the place looked fantastic! Her company uses an app called Showtime to schedule viewings and I loved it. It helped me keep our 10+ viewings that week organized. And then, a few days later, when we received multiple offers, Nancy helped me navigate that process and we accepted a contract soon after. The one referral of Nancy's I would not necessarily recommend is her lawyer, Kevin. I'll rate him in another review. I highly recommend Nancy! She's fantastic! Just be ready to hit the ground running. And be honest with her if you prefer a different communication style - she's the chatty, long- phone call type!

We were very pleased with Nancy's services as our seller agent. We felt she went beyond what a typical real estate agent would do. She understood the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood/Andersonville neighborhood and the market for our type of house well. When we were looking for an agent, she met with us personally and offered insights on the area and our best strategy for listing our house. She also helped us understand the correct pricing of our townhouse, based on comparable sales and the current market demand. She offered us a range of listing prices based on the market and how conservative or aggressive we wanted to be, but allowed us to set the price. She recognized a lack of townhouses on the market and a surplus of people looking for them and pushed us to get our house staged and listed early to take advantage of the demand. She offered honest opinions (even though we may not have wanted to hear all of them) on updates to our home that would make it more appealing, removal of clutter, and optimum staging of our home. We received and accepted an offer on our house within four days of its listing. She had obviously done her homework on the price, as we received an offer very close to our asking price. The sale price was higher than other real estate agents that we interviewed had told us we could get for the townhouse. We thank Nancy for her assistance and recommend her to others who are trying to sell their home and want a pleasant experience (or as pleasant as buying/selling a home can be), but also honesty and good market analysis. Even though trying to sell a home is stressful, working with Nancy on the sale of our condo was a pleasure. Within six days of listing our home, we had two offers, and we received the full list price. Nancy has a variety of professional and personal qualities that made a challenging real estate transaction proceed efficiently. She has several years of experience and practices real estate full-time, not as a side gig. As a staging professional she gave us helpful tips on showing our home. Whenever we reached out to Nancy with questions or concerns, she responded promptly and considerately without ever pushing us off on an assistant. Another valuable quality of Nancy's was her communication style. Throughout the transaction, she was a reliable and diplomatic intermediary among all of the parties on both our side and the buyer's side. She referred us to an exceptionally experienced, attentive, and patient attorney. On a personal level, we like Nancy because she has a friendly and down-to-earth demeanor and because she is informative and approachable without being pushy. To make a long story short, Nancy is worth her weight in gold.

We picked Nancy as our realtor based on a friend's recommendation and we don't regret that choice. Nancy knows her stuff. She operates as a consummate professional while maintaining a personal and friendly touch. She knows the market and knows the home buying process. We visited at least a dozen properties with us and each time she asked good questions of us to help us clarify what we want and also helped up ask good questions of the buyer. She negotiated us a good deal once it was time to buy.

Nancy is awesome. Buying a house for the first time was overwhelming but Nancy was by our side every step of the way. I have high standards with service providers and Nancy is trustworthy, reliable, and extremely responsive to our needs. We never had a hard time getting in touch with her for any reason and she was an amazing guide throughout the process. I think what also makes Nancy special is that we never felt like a client, so to speak. We felt like she was part of the family in a way. I think with such a meaningful issue at hand, we were so happy to find someone who really cared about US.

Nancy is a realtor who doesn't go away after your deal closes. She helped us find a pied-à-terre condo in Andersonville November 2014. During the latest polar vortex January 15th our furnace went out. As we live out of state we called Nancy for help. She referred us to her network of contractors and the furnace was repaired before the temperature hit -15 degrees. Not many realtors stick around after the deal closes. Nancy is one of a kind.

I interviewed a number of realtors before picking one and decided to go with Nancy. Very glad I did. She was fantastic. A primary reason I went with her initially is that she came out with a suggested opening list price much higher than the others, who apparently were all looking for a quick pay out. Far beyond that though Nancy was a pleasure to work with. She was helpful and always responsive throughout the process, with good recommendations on painting, staging, lawyer, and miscellaneous help, and reliable follow through. I had recently moved to the Seattle area from Chicago, which ordinarily might have made the transaction difficult, but Nancy and I worked together well long distance to get all that we needed done. Unfortunately we had to list just before the winter freeze and traffic was very slow, but in the end I was pleased with the result. We got a solid offer within five weeks of listing, and a quick and painless remote closing. With Nancy's help, the whole thing was pretty painless. I would definitely recommend her to friends in the Chicago area.

Nancy was an absolute joy to work with. She was very knowledgeable about all matters concerning selling real estate. She was available seven days a week; emails, texts and phone calls were returned within minutes. Her interpersonal style of working with others was both warm and professional. We found Nancy through Angie's List. What caught our attention were all her great reviews and awards she had received. We had been emailing her for over a year about the right time to sell our condo. We were out of town owners and ended up interviewing her and another realtor while visiting one weekend. We liked her easy going approach, flexibility and willingness to do whatever it would take to get the condo successfully sold. We appreciated the extensive research she did on the comps and the options for renovations needed to sell the place quickly. She coordinated with us over phone and email. She even coordinated with our tenants, contractors and building staff. She helped identify and vet contractors and oversaw the work that was done. The first weekend our condo was listed we had 4 offers! We accepted a cash offer and looked to close within 3 weeks. She did everything on her end to help us close asap. However a legal issue came up that delayed the closing. She was patient as we dealt with the issue. Our lawyer Kevin Barry, whom she recommended, was amazing as well and he helped us navigate the legal issue. We finally closed within 5 weeks (still relatively quickly) while not having to be present for the closing. We were very happy with Nancy and would highly recommend her!

We met Nancy in the summer of 2012 at a local open house that she was the listing agent on. Nancy was not only overly willing to answer every question that we had about that specific house - but also went above and beyond to learn about us, our stage in life, where we wanted to live and what we were looking for in a first home. I was selling a 2 bedroom/1 bedroom condo in a difficult market for sellers. I interviewed 4 other agents before meeting Nancy, and within the first few minutes of our meeting, I knew Nancy was the perfect fit. Nancy did a phenomenal job on selling my diamond-in-the-rough house, the 1925 Chicago bungalow I had inherited from my father and had had to clean out and manage while living 300 miles away and being able only infrequently to come to Chicago. She knows the Chicago area market intimately, and she communicates thoroughly and just about instantaneously?she lives on her mobile! In little more than 24 hours after the MLS listing went live, the house sold for 60% more than the asking price. Obviously I?m thrilled! But I would be leaving a rave review for Nancy in any case, because of her in-depth knowledge, meticulous communication, and unflagging professionalism?plus she?s warm, friendly, and down-to-earth, which made selling a house long-distance so much less stressful. I found Nancy on Angie?s List. Even before we met, after I first contacted her via email, she sent me some data. I interviewed her at the house in person as well as another realtor and a ?We Buy Ugly Houses? guy in order to make a choice. The other realtor was good, and the Ugly Houses guy was up-front, but Nancy struck me as extraordinary. When we met, even before I had decided she would be my realtor, she had more data about the neighborhood and its sales patterns, which she went over with me in detail. She advised me to sell the house as-is except to have all the ancient rotted-out wall-to-wall carpeting removed so the hardwood floors would be revealed. Excellent advice?the interior was transformed, and I'm sure this is one reason we got such a great price for the house. We set a sales price that Nancy thought was realistic so the house wouldn?t languish on the market for months. My own research backed up the price she proposed. She and I hoped for a sale within a month. Instead, a bidding war exploded, which Nancy managed expertly. P.S.: As I didn?t know any lawyers in Chicago, Nancy recommended Kevin Barry of Hawthorn Woods, and he was also remarkable--friendly, communicative, and savvy, and he totally went the extra mile throughout. From our first contact with Nancy we knew she would be great. She spent a lot of time explaining how the entire process works, and really helped us along as first time buyers. She was extremely organized, and was always showing us places that we wanted to see. We were in constant communication via the MLS website, and she quickly responded to any questions we had. We spent about three months searching for the right place, and Nancy never tried to push us into anything. She would more often than not point out problems and reasons not to buy a place, even when the prices were on the higher end. She was like a caring mother who wanted us to get something that was right for us, not just something that was available right now. Even when we were discouraged, Nancy never gave up hope and stayed with us right through the end, always keeping a positive attitude. As first time buyers, she helped us figure out what we wanted, and how to pick a place that had all of our must-have amenities. Nancy was great through the whole process, and really took care of us. We would recommend her to anyone.

We hired Nancy after having shopped around a little for an agent. Nancy was very professional and seemed to have a good handle on the market which has been changing rapidly so we decided to go with her based on this and the reviews on Angies List. We are very glad we went with her. The sale of our house was extremely easy and went very smoothly. We liked the photographer she brought in and she had good advice for what to do to prep for selling. Nancy had a good rapport with the buyers' agent and this helped everything go very smoothly. The purchase of our new house was extremely difficult. The seller's people were difficult to deal with and we didn't know right down to the last minute if the closing was going to happen or not. It is a fantastic house so we stuck with it through it all. Nancy was really great through this and even as we were driving down to the closing she was on the phone with everyone trying to make sure that papers had arrived where they should have, etc. It was a stressful situation but she always handled it professionally and had good advice for us. Not only was she competent as a realtor, she was also very approachable. I never had a doubt that she was working solely with my interests in her mind. We had already picked out a subdivision and needed help seeing what's available, writing the offer contract, and orchestrating the long march to closing. She works with many good people including a thorough home inspector, mortgage brokers, and a good attorney. Nancy wrote a careful contract that protected my interest yet still was fair. She did a great job helping us wade through the paperwork with reasonable understanding. Nancy respected our rapid timetable to move quickly once we found the perfect place. Did an excellent job moving quickly and strongly enough to prevent an expensive competitive bidding war while still saving several thousand on the offer. She acted proactively and aggressively to smooth over the inevitable trouble stops and kept us on the road to a close in 40 days. Great communication by phone, text, and email throughout. Excellent job coaching us, always calm, even when we were not. Makes a painful process much less painful. Bottom line: we love our new place and will work with nancy to unload our old place in Chicago.

The whole process from listing the house until close took just under 3 months which was way beyond my expectations. If I ever decide to buy a home again I would definitely have Nancy work with me on finding a new place. She is knowledgable about the market and what it takes to get a home sold.

We needed to sell our condo in Chicago and buy a single family home in the burbs. We put off doing this as long as we possibly could because the market is so bad right now. When we couldn't wait a minute longer, we found Nancy on Angie's List.. We were impressed with her reviews, and then when we met her we liked her personal touch and attention to detail. We successfully closed on both the house and the condo in a little more than 6 months after we listed our place - which in this market is amazing! And truth be told the only reason it took that long is our buyer wanted to have the closing date after his lease expired - we had our place under contract after being on the market for 4 months. I cannot recommend Nancy strongly enough. I say that because not only did she help us sell our condo at a price that allowed us to buy a great house in a stellar location, but also because I've had many friends and neighbors attempt to sell their similiar condos in the last 12 months and not be able to. These folks are now renting out their condos and trying to rent a bigger place. I believe the reason we were successful was Nancy's hard work.

Nancy called me for a landlord referral regarding my previous tenant. I immediately liked her on the phone and I asked to meet her. I knew right away that she was going to be very easy to work with and would get the job done. From our first meeting on, she was a go-getter and had incredible follow-through. She got my condo rented with time to spare! I have picture perfect tenants and didn't miss out on a day of rent! And she even negotiated a 2-year lease but only charged me for one!

Nancy was my lifesaver! I initially worked with a different realtor who was not responsive to my needs as a first time homebuyer.
