Polite, responsive, professional, went beyond the call of duty to please.

Everything was great. They moved everything quickly and there were no casualties. The guys were great, I will add their names in (Daryl is on way for sure) as they were very polite and respectful. I would highly recommend them. They also came in at $300 under their estimate, which was appreciated.

Showed up on time. Estimated time was four hours, but it took under two hours (which was the minimum time).

Moving is stressful, but Movetastic put our mind at ease. They were able to accommodate our short notice move and met all of our needs. Dani in the office was very sweet and helpful. They estimated our move to take around 3-4 hours which I thought was more than reasonable and was glad to hear it wouldn't be an all day event, but my team of friendly movers exceeded our expectations- from start the last item unloaded Jason M., Karl Q, and Quavon B. took 1.5 hours and lowered our moving costs with their efficiency and skill by almost half the price! Not to mention the extra time and care they took to wrap valuable items and even disassemble and reassemble and item that wouldn't fit through one of the bedroom doors. I highly recommend Movetastic. We will be back!

Travis B, Tom B, and Lance C did a great job packing up our two bedroom house. They were very fast and professional. Everything was carefully packed and all the boxes clearly labeled. The next day, Travis B, Tom B, Lance C, and Andre L, came and moved all of our stuff to our new house. They put all of the boxes in the appropriate rooms based on the labeling which was great. They even spotted a patch of mud near the moving truck and covered it up so that they wouldn't track mud into our new house. If we need to move again, these teams would be our first choice by far for packers and movers.

So professional & also very helpful. They did a great job working around our kids and working within our condo association rules (we were moving out of a high rise in downtown Chicago). Both packing & moving were good experiences. They also did a great job quickly moving things in asking me where things were going and putting furniture together. They moved quickly, efficiently, and were respectful to each other and to our family and overall made moving a great experience! We would absolutely use them again.

My wife and I will ALWAYS use Move-tastic. We are two for two with our moves together and using them. These guys are total pros. They have always been courteous, friendly, careful with our stuff, and quick. We were obviously very protective of our new house/investment, and they made recommendations for every wonky and big piece of furniture so as not to damage the hardwood floors or walls, and when the couch didn't fit through any of the doors, we were panicked, but Jason M., Fred A., and Mike Y. were unphased. They took out the tools, took off the door, and in came the couch, and they replaced it when all was done. Please please PLEASE do yourself a favor and book Move-tastic for your next move and every move thereafter.

Crew arrived promptly as scheduled, were friendly, professional and polite, and worked quickly (despite the single-digit temperatures). No damage complaints to speak of (couple of minor furniture scuffs and houseplants did not survive the cold). Final cost was significantly below estimate. Highly recommended.

I got an estimate online and approved it, then the office called me right away with a couple of questions and with a schedule. The crew called when they said they would, showed up when they said they would, and overall did a great job. They were really fast also - the entire move took just two hours. They were very careful with my stuff; I went over with them of what moved, what didn't and they got it all right the first time. I would totally use these guys again!

The move was amazing. Considering there was no elevator, I was worried we wouldn't even be able to find movers willing to help us. Chris, Marcus and Michael were on time, very professional, and took fantastic care of our belongings. They protected the floors with cloths, and wrapped up all of our furniture in moving blankets. Never complained once- they had the best attitudes about helping us. This was our second time hiring them, we would absolutely hire them again.

These guys don't get great reviews for nothing! These guys (Martrell, Kelvin, Lance and Adam), were fast, friendly and funny. They came in, introduced themselves and got to work. You would have thought that moving a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor in the rain would have phased them, but no! They took the stairs like the champs they are and smiled and joked the entire time! Since we were throwing so much stuff out, they were careful to ask what was going and what was staying every step of the way. They threw out more stuff than we were moving, and they didn't bat an eye when we asked them to toss it. The move in was much easier, as we went into a garden apartment. We notice quickly that we had more shizz than space, but the crew was careful to leave a clear path to everything for us as they stacked the boxes, even taking care to make sure everything was where we wanted it. They even detoured to pick up mattresses that we had just purchased (like purchased while waiting on the truck to arrive)! The guys were awesome, and if (Jeebus forbid) we have to move anytime soon, we will definitely be calling them! (Also, as a note - these guys deserve food, water, and tips. We made sure to give it all to them; you should, too.)

I seriously hate everything about moving. I've done it myself so many times and decided this year to hire someone. We found Move-Tastic and couldn't be happier! The booking process was easy and we were able to get a move on Saturday. They estimated me for 5 hours but these guys moved me and my girlfriend from our 3rd floor apartment into our new place in just over 3 hours! They we so fast an efficient we were very impressed. Our crew was so funny but professional and took really great care of our stuff. We will definitely recommend to friends and be using them for our next move. But hopefully not for a while!!

Warning: Move-Tastic No Longer Reputable Move-Tastic is no longer a trustworthy local moving company, and the 5-star reviews here and on Yelp are stale and misleading. We had a wonderful experience with them in the fall of 2013, but our July 2016 move damaged and created unsafe conditions with a number of pieces of furniture and surfaces within our new home. Despite purchasing the better of the two insurance options, we are two months into the repair/replacement process and have encountered delays at every turn with refusals to replace items that have been damaged beyond repair (as proved by their shoddy "repair" process). We are in the process of filing complaints with the Illinois Commerce Commission (who regulate movers) and the Better Business Bureau, and also want to ensure that those searching for Chicago-area movers avoid this company. As the following list shows, the company damaged furniture and surfaces in nearly every room of the house, both during the initial move and in follow-up "repair" visits. While they came back to take the items to a repair shop, most of the work was of terribly poor quality, and the movers damaged our hardwood floors in the process. Do not use Move-Tastic if you have made any sort of investment in furniture that you care about. --Unsafe and Damaged Crib: The movers reassembled the crib by putting the headboard on backward in order to hide the damage, and also lost screws, leaving those holes empty and our baby's safety at risk. NO ONE thought to mention when reassembling the crib, we lost a screw and this seems unsafe. We were left to double check their work and find this potential-lawsuit ourselves. --Damaged Master Bedroom Dresser: After recently investing in a dresser that we intended to have for decades, the movers took out a huge chunk on the front corner of the dresser. Although they had the chunk that split off, the "repair" looks like someone hardened silly putty onto the edge and colored it with a magic marker. This would not be acceptable to anyone. --Damaged Dining Room Table: This recently purchased dining room table was damaged at the base. It was taken out for repairs, which turned out okay. When they took the table apart for repair, they found that it was missing screws (again, something put together wrong), and claimed they return the repaired base with the screws. They were never able to find the correct screws. --Damaged Family Room Sofa: The movers broke off one of the four legs of this newer sofa. While the repair reattached the leg, the couch is filthy upon return, with the delivery guys commenting on how dirty it looks. Not just overall dirty, large dark and staining marks where the leg was repaired and square spots of dark all over the skirted portion. --Damaged Glass Desk: The movers severely chipped the corner of a glass desk, requiring complete replacement. --Damaged Bar Stool: Leg had to be repaired. Following repair, however, they brought us someone else's table, which we had to send back and wait for them to find our barstool and deliver at another date and time. The movers were entirely confused, demonstrating the deficient communication within the company. --Damaged Side Table: The move damaged a metal side table that required refinishing. Round table had chips in the metal around the entire top. The repair is ok as long as you don't look at the table up close. --Nonfunctioning Treadmill: When we went to turn on the 1-year old treadmill, we had no power. After having a service company out, they noted that none of the electrical wiring had been reattached after the move, which breaches the warranties made by Move-tastic regarding reassembly of moved items. --Damaged Hardwood Floors: In moving the furniture out for repair, the movers dragged the dresser on our hardwood floors, causing $1,000 in damaged. The repair, which takes place on a landing between the main floor and upstairs bedrooms, will require us to be out of the house for 2 days as they tear up the hardwood flooring on the landing and reinstall and stain. --Damaged Walls: Interior and exterior walls were nicked and scratched. This was one of the first items reported to Move-Tastic but we didn't submit an estimate because we had someone repair them for a nominal cost. Had we known then what we know now, 8 weeks later, I would have had a full estimate developed. At bottom, Move-Tastic has shown little interest in resolving these issues in a timely manner. They continue to refuse to replace the crib or dresser, and continue to direct us to find other "repair" companies to attempt further touch up to items that are beyond repair. Move-Tastic shows no concerns about the ways they put our child at risk for unsafe crib assembly or for the time it has taken to address all of these issues. If this were a 5-star company and our move an anomaly (at a minimum, our crews were untrained and careless if not reckless), then you would expect a horror story like this to be resolved quickly. Clearly this has become somewhat normative for them, and they are well-experienced in delaying and wearing you down until you just give up. Managing the many visits, estimates, repairs, emails and calls is a full-time job. They apologize with virtually no action. It's interesting the there are other poor reviews on Yelp in recent months, especially by those who, like us, had previously had a positive experience with Move-Tastic. Please read these other 1-2 star reviews. Our worst decision in our move was to use Move-Tastic -- we are just thankful that we had hired a different company to separately pack and move our artwork.

I did a lot of research on movers and most of them had horror stories so with only a few weeks to go I had to book a company (which out of what I'd seen I was less then happy to do so), I happened to stumble across these guys and I'm so pleased that I did as they are AMAZING!!!!! Everything was just so easy from getting the quote online to the move itself. We had a 3 man crew Danny, John and William, they called to say that they would be there 30 minutes earlier and was that ok (of course it was) then when they turned up they were all extremely friendly and courteous. They did a walk through of the apartment to make sure they understood what needed to move and what was staying, once we did that it was all systems go. I've never seen movers move so fast but still be very careful of our items, we had a problem with one of our sectionals getting out the front door but they came up with a solution and it was in the van within a few minutes. They unloaded everything just as fast and as carefully as they did packing it up, they were finished in under 2.5 hours and the quote was for 5.5 hours so everything came in much cheaper too which was great. These guys are so professional, friendly, fast and amazing I'm recommending them to all my friends. Thank you so much for making our move easy and not stressful at all.

These guys are the best - I've used them multiple times and have never had an issue.

We had an 8 man crew led by Keith McCurley (Sherman McGee, Marcus Edwards, Chris Camacho, William Brown, Jason Phillips, Eddy Boatman and Jordan Medina). We had a full day's worth of moving to be done - and it was all done in the rain. The guys never complained, had a great attitude, were polite and did a wonderful job getting us moved into our newly built house. We had several heavy pieces and they didn't miss a beat. Melissa at the corporate office was very helpful and answered my questions very quickly. Would definitely use them again and recommend them as well. I only wish I had remembered to take a few pictures of everyone!

I have moved many times and this experience was by far, the best! This was a complicated 3 stop move and our crew could not have been faster, nicer, more professional or more careful! I will be using Move-tastic again and i will recommend them to anyone I know that needs a mover!

By far the best (and only truly good) moving company I've used in Chicago. They were punctual, professional, quick and the only company to come in under their original estimate. Also, they're one of the few companies to accept credit card payments with no surcharge. An absolutely great company!

They arrived on time and went to work. I provided direction and pointed out the items that needed to be moved and they did the rest. They worked steadily and took one short break which I thought reasonable. Hard workers. I would use them again in the future should the need arise.

Excellent customer service and work by the moving team of Martrell Brownlee, Sherman McGee, Booker James, and Thurston Walls. They were efficient, personable, and had a "can-do-attitude". They handled my furniture like it was theirs and were extremely careful with furniture and avoided any damage to house as they moved the furniture. They did not waste any time and had a method to what they packed and moved first on the truck. Outstanding professionals who knew how to do their jobs! I would definitely use this company again.
