We had just gotten dropped by our previous agents, after a deal went bust (the home they found for us had gotten sold for taxes; we had a contract on the home that we were living in & couldn't get out). We rented the place for a couple of months, with promises that issue would be resolved. After the first 5 weeks, we asked our old agents to search again. They did for a while, but basically got sick of us "wasting their time". So we found Mike when he was showing us another property. While we didn't like that property we liked him. As opposed to our old agents, he didn't give us pressure about buying a home that would rise in value ("can you smell the money?" our old agent said). He was really laid back, but still worked diligently on researching different choices. We really needed that, as we felt let down by our previous agents (they sold our old home fast, but couldn't "finish the race" to help us find our home.) He gave us good references on things like a mortgage.
