MEGA LOCKSMITH & SECURITY

Mega Lock continues to be a great company. In addition to the work above, we hired them in 2010 to replace all of the locks and keys for our buildings (6 separate offices) after a break in and burglary. They did a great job. They are responsive, punctual and they know the security business. While they may not be the least expensive provider, ensuring the security of our buildings and the quality of their service makes it worth any premium over any other company.

They came the same night to help me when I locked myself out, so that part was great. However, the price was $40 more than the phone quote and they didn't apply the Angie's list discount. Also, they informed me after drilling the lock that they didn't have a replacement for it. They said they would assist in locating & installing one, but it's now 10 days later. Haven't heard back and the door is still not functioning.

They were able to get out the same day as the request unlike a lot of their competitors. The repairman called at the appointment time and let me know that he was running about 20 minutes late which was fine. Quote was a bit higher than what was told over the phone, but I also have no lock experience and didn't know exactly what I was talking about. Tried to use the 12% Angie's List Coupon and he said that the price quote already included the discount except I had never mentioned the coupon or Angie's list so don't expect the coupon to save you money.

Fast, reasonably priced. Arrived in timely fashion and made decisions about the best and least expensive method to key the locks. Very polite and nice, great service would use again.

Highly recommended. We called on a Saturday with an interior locked door that needed to be picked. Price was reasonable and Ben was excellent -- he made it here almost instantly and was friendly and obviously knowledgeable. While we only used him for this small job, I would absolutely feel comfortable using Mega for any related security services. Simply a great experience all around.

I called in advance and they gave me a one hour window on Tuesday am. Ami called within the appointed hour and showed up promptly 10 minutes later. He was great to deal with. Got the job done and even helped with a stuck screen door which may have been outside his jurisdiction. Would definitely call again.

Fast, well done, reasonably priced. Lukas arrived in a timely fashion and kept me updated on his whereabouts via phone. He made fast decisions about the best and least expensive method to fix the lock and had the parts ready in his truck. He was polite and well groomed. Great service.

I called the locksmith on the basis of their ratings in Angie's List; tho it was not an emergency, they came over within 90 minutes (they called twice first: once to give estimated arrival time, and again a few minutes before arriving). Ami, the technician, was helpful, knowledgeable, and quickly reconditioned two sticking, balky deadbolt locks so that they now turn easily. Fine job.

I called Mega Locksmith around 11:30 am and the dispatchers took my information and told me that I could expect a visit that day between 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The repairman called to let me know he was on his way and her arrived at 1:30 pm. He completed the job in under an hour and once again explained everything and wanted to make sure I understood.

Showed up at time arranged, did the job. Can't ask for more than that.

I called the day before and made an appointment. They arrived on time but sent the wrong technician, The correct technician then arrived in less then 15 minutes. They repaired my lock. It's a miracle! I know the weather is an issue, but I called several company's and received no satisfaction when trying to get this lock fixed. I called other company's (from Angies list) and they told me I needed a complete replacement for $900.00. Other ones wouldn't even repair it as they said it wasn't worth there time. I was so frustrated I was going to wait till Spring to repair. Don't use the other company's, this is an honest locksmith who I will definitely use for all of my future needs,

Mega Locksmith responded immediately to my call and advised they cojld come out in a few hours (the only locksmith of several I called that did not have a 1 day + wait). The locksmith was very prompt and very professional. He not only got the broken key out, but also fixed the issue with the lock that caused the key to break.

Installed a pin enabled security lock on my front door. Went very smooth, the locksmith was on time, friendly and professional, he explained the new lock and left my home in the same condition as when he arrived.

In the cold weather, my key broke off in the gate of our front fence and they came to fix. We actually have been looking for someone who does locks and iron fence repair as our back gate is not closing properly and these guys do! Awesome! He didn't have his welding stuff with him today and because of the weather (crazy snow)) just replaced the front lock today, but will be back on Monday to repair the back gate. Fast service, they got here in a half hour and worked fast. We will definitely be using them again!

My locks are unique and nearly impossible to find keys for. I have gone to multiple hardware stores and big box stores and none could duplicate my keys. This has been an ongoing problem, so when my general contractor lost my keys (ugh!) I needed to replace the locks on my two doors. My technician Ami was FANTASTIC!! I love someone who takes pride in his (or her) work and Ami did!! He worked diligently to make certain everything was perfect. He was professional and personable. I had had some reluctance choosing a locksmith and appreciated having Angie's list as a resource!! Great job, Mega Locksmiths. I would recommend you without hesitation.

They were very professional and trust them in my home at any time. We love both the buzzer and the camera system and are so happy that we had them install all of this for us. They worked very hard till they were down with all projects and the work was great! We would use them again and again !!!

I was able to schedule someone to come out the same day. He spent several hours doing the work and making sure everything was right. He asked for my input and gave me several choices before proceeding and throughout the process. The overall cost was more than anticipated, but he ended up changing all my locks to be uniform due to several malfunctioning locks/missing keys, and I am very pleased with the result. I would definitely hire Mega again.

The individual that Mega Locksmith sent out was courteous and professional. He fixed our lock quickly and offered suggestions on how we could avoid similar problems in the future. We need additional work done soon, and I will certainly be calling them!

Requested an estimate on increasing security for my building. Representative who came out was forthcoming with many ideas, however, his manner was somewhat "abrupt". After meeting with him he indicated that all options he provided would be written up in his estimate.After finding that the estimate was unclear and incomplete, I requested clarification by phone and so far have waited about five days but nothing has ever been received.

I called MEGA LOCKSMITH & SECURITY for a quote. The gentleman who answered the phone was rather abrupt, took my info and said he'd get back to me. Shortly thereafter someone called identifying himself as the locksmith, reported he was on another job but would call me when he was on his way. He wouldn't give me an estimate over the phone, but other estimates I'd received were in the $80-100 range for a fresh installation of a deadbolt and replacement knob so that's what I was expecting. About 20 minutes later a different technician called, said he'd received my info from "the company" and was on his way. I was very confused as the technician who showed up was not actually from MEGA LOCKSMITH & SECURITY. I don't know that I'm particularly comfortable with MEGA LOCKSMITH & SECURITY farming out my job to another company. I am making the assumption based off the quality of the job done, and the fact that MEGA LOCKSMITH & SECURITY has such a high rating that they wouldn't send out just anybody - but it was still surprising. I like to know that the company I'm hiring off of Angie's List is the company that will be performing the service. Upon arrival at my house the technician informed me the job would cost $174, broken down as follows:Service Call $29Fresh Installation $95Deadbolt Installation $25Door Knob Installation $25 **Please be advised I had already purchased a deadbolt and knob set. The above rate is simply for the installation** In all honesty had I received this quote over the phone I would not have used this service. The cost of this service was SIGNIFICANTLY more than the quotes I received from other Angie's List recommended service providers ($80-$100). I paid nearly twice as much than I would have if I'd gone with the provider who'd informed me they could come out first thing in the morning. The job was done well, the job was done quickly (same day service and taking only about 30 minutes total), and based off the other estimates I received the job may have cost me more than it should. Summary:-MEGA LOCKSMITH & SECURITY may farm out your job to a sub-contractor-Quick, efficient and high quality service-Seemed to be on the higher end of the price spectrum

Unfortunately, I lost the only key I had for my mailbox. I called on a Wednesday afternoon, was quoted a price, and given a time slot later that evening (6:30pm) at my convenience. The locksmith called me at 5:50 and said he would be there in 15 - 20 minutes. When he arrived at 6:15, he apologized profusely for being 5 minutes "late" - ven though he was still actually early. He performed the work professionally, and in less than 15 minutes. He tested both new keys a few times to make sure they worked, and was on his way.While I hope to never need a locksmith again (!), I would not hesitiate to call them if I do. I was very satisifed with the convenience of their hours and appointment, their punctuality, and their professionalism.
