About a month after the project was complete and we repainted our bathroom walls and bought a new shower glass door, the shower started leaking again ruining the new paint and drywall. We called Charles and a week later he sent one of his employees to "fix" the problem which be blamed on the tiles. A few weeks later it started leaking again. Finally, after much conversation, Charles refunded us a portion of the cost. NOT WORTH IT.

The work was done well, quickly and the crew was clean and professional. Charles is a nice guy who communicates very well.

The owner was very responsive, personable and professional. The work was done quickly and looks great. It was a very messy job, but the crew did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. A positive experience all around.

I used McFarland Remodeling because it was offering a deal of $160 for four hours of drywalling, plastering, etc. and had an A rating on Angie's List. Charles McFarland called immediately and set up an appointment. He and his helper arrived on time and did a great job. The repair is excellent. The helper touched up the paint perfectly. There was no mess at all. I feel very fortunate to have found McFarland Remodeling and just engaged them for a new job. I found out today that my neighbors who live next door to my condo building also use McFarland Remodeling. We consider ourselves VERY lucky.

The were awesomely responsive - did what they said they were going to do - and were clean and professional the whole time. I actually used them twice for two different projects. They are not the least expensive...but I'd rather pay more for high quality work than grovel over poor quality.

He was courteous and great to work with. A real pleasure. Work done looks great and he was very accommodating with schedules.

They were terrific. We loved them, they did an awesome job, and we are using them again.

So far, we are very pleased with what was accomplished for this job. Unfortunately, when the workers removed a portion of the ceiling drywall, they discovered an issue with our roof and chimney that will need to be addressed before we can complete the drywall repair. We are confident that we will be able to contact this contractor again when we have completed the necessary roof/chimney repairs. The drywall work they did complete is well done, and the workers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up very thoroughly.

The provider was very pleasant, he came with a worker who performed the job. They were both very professional and did a good job fixing the wall/ceiling. I'd definitely use them again in the near future. I highly recommend their services.

They were very clean and did a very good job. You couldn't even tell there was a repair.

the gentleman did a great job, beautiful. but took 2 hours longer because of the moisture, unfortunately they didnt' communicate that and when I went to check I set up a fan to help dry the room. the contractor said that he wouldn't charge me for the extra time. I did have some clean up and I will need to sand and finish the walls and apply kilz before I paint. But the walls look good.

Charles (and his employees) restored and remodeled our flood damaged basement bathroom. He was very professional and considerate, and helped walk me through the process, especially when I wasn't sure what I wanted. The bathroom looks better than it ever did before, and I would recommend McFarland Remodeling for this type of project.

While the work performed was done well, I incurred some unexpected costs during this project. I had Charles come quote the project to determine whether or not he'd be able to complete the work in the alloted time. After saying he was pretty confident there wouldn't be an additional charge (on top of the Angie's List Big Deal for $150), he showed up with 2 employees (3 total) to patch/repair a ceiling in my kitchen. It turned out to be more work than he expected, and he mentioned that to me, but was pushing to continue the job. I approved extra time without knowing what the charge would be, and it ended up being $255 more than what I had planned on. I did make it clear that I was perfectly willing to prime the ceiling after it was sanded, and he felt strongly that his crew needed to do it. He even gave me a and quot;discountand quot; on the amount he said he personally should have been paid for supervising the job. While I don't want to say I was ripped off, I would not hire him again because the communication about the amount of extra charge was poor, to say the least.

They were very disappointing with caliber of referrals and cancelled membership as a result.

I have never had a contractor so clean and the people who work there are unbelievable.

I had seen Charles' work before, but I was still blown away by the quality of the work. My doors look phenomenal. Charles is extremely professional. He answers his phone when you call and kept me up to date with everything that was going on. After this positive experience, I have asked him to do the remodel of both my kitchen and bathroom. I highly recommend him and his team.

They were terrific. Very conscientious, high quality work and attention to detail. Very professional and considerate. We had water damage to plaster around our fireplace and stained glass window -- they did a flawless job of repairing and painting. They also did repair work to the ceiling in our bathroom and repainted it, including beadboard. Everything was completed quickly.

The experience was not very good. They took a lot of shortcuts. They seemed very professional but they turned out not to be. I have completely re done all of their work. I was not pleased and I would not recommend them.

I changed an electrical panel and it didn't fit in the area, so I had to have a part of the wall dug out. I used a coupon for the job. The price was right and they did a great job. They were very good and exceptional. They called, we set up a time and they were here. I will use them again in the future.

Charles McFarland brought in an exterior expert to help with exterior estimates and did the interior estimates himself. I chose McFarland because he seemed able to manage the whole issue from start to finish. Work was all done within estimate. There were a few extras that I was able to approve of while work was progressing. My wife and I were very pleased that he got it right the first time. Huge rain storm came right after repairs finished and we were bone dry. We already are getting estimates from Charles McFarland for more work - after we save up some more money.

They came out within a couple of days of calling them. They quoted around $2500 initially. We knew there was a leak but we didn’t know the extent of the leak. It was a situation where they would have had to take the drywall off to see what was there. The price was fairly accurate for the work we ended up having done. The person who came out was pretty thorough. He tried to talk me through what I needed to do immediately even while I was deciding who was going to come and do the repair. He was pretty helpful about that. He showed up when he said he would. He was the first person to get back to me and was very quick to come over. They charged $200 for the estimate, and that did sting a little bit because the other providers weren’t that much later but they were free. I have to deal with an association’s budget and not just my own, and it is kind of hard to justify that extra $200. I would probably use them in the future.

This is the second time I have used Charles for my home remodeling projects. We are expecting our second child and our two bedroom condo needed some reconfiguring of bedrooms to make space. I needed the work done ASAP and Charles made it happen. He came out immediately to give me an estimate and schedualed the work to begin a few days later. The work is fantastic. His team is fast, professional and respectful. Charles was involved with the project at every step. He helped envision the final layout and did not disappear once the works started. One of the traits I like most about Charles is that he ALWAYS answers his phone. I never felt at any stage of work that he was out of touch. In fact he regularly visited his team to see progress and to make sure I was satisfied with the work so far. I would not hesitate to use Charles again. A++

He is friendly, his work was functual and efficient. He lacks a little bit of attention to detail.
