Charles was pleasant and responsive, but either he didn't want the job or it just wasn't within his area of expertise. His quote was for over 3x what we were actually able to get the job done for.

Charles was very responsive. He came out to view the basement quickly and delivered his estimate on time as promised. He was one of the most professional and pleasant contractors I met during the estimating process, but in the end, I went with another company whose price was significantly lower.

Charles and Avery from McFarland Remodeling were great. They were always on time, professional, and friendly. I would definitely use them again.

Charles and his crew we probably the easiest of contractors to work with in our remodeling project. He was always quick to respond to phone calls, questions and any issues that arose during the project. They were quite accommodating when some of the drywall had to be removed so that the a/c company could make repairs in the middle of the project. They were not the cheapest, but felt their work was high quality.

McFarland did a great job. They were able to get me in last minute and did a great job.

Mr. McFarland was very responsive and had someone out to provide an estimate within a couple of days. Mr. Wilson was the person that handled the estimate and work. He knew exactly what the issue was and was able to explain it well and provide an accurate estimate on-the-spot. He had to remove part of our deck to reach the roof and the task was completed well. Mr. Wilson repaired the water damage in our unit and so far it seems to be an overall great job. We are recommending McFarland to other people in our condo building.

When we called McFarland Remodeling to come out and provide a quote for work to be completed in our home, they came to our home and submitted a quote. The job was to install a custom doorway leading into our den. We had an architect's drawing to guide the work. When Mr. McFarland came to our home to view the work, he did not look carefully at the drawing and asked many questions that indicated he did not quite understand the project. We had to follow up with him in order to receive a quote and then the quote was one line in an e-mail and very unprofessional. We did not go with this company as my experience did not lead us to believe they would complete our job satisfactorily.

The overall experience was outstanding. Each call I made to Charles was promptly returned and every interaction was highly professional. He came out to our place the evening of the day I called to request an estimate. His price was on par with the other estimates we received but there was really no contest - he was definitely our first choice.

Charles and his crew did an excellent job. They finished within the time they estimated and charged exactly what he had estimated. They did a great job keeping things clean - this is a very dusty job. The apartment was practically spotless afterwards. The walls look great. I would use this company for any remodeling and anticipate calling them when I need my bathrooms re-tiled.

Charles was professional from the beginning to the end. He was quick to reply to messages, open to discussions, and the work was done on time. Given the large scope of the work, his price was very reasonable. The crew was professional, skilled, and very clean. We are very pleased with our service and would recommend McFarland to anyone.

Charles and his crew are expert re-modelers. They soundproofed two of my ceilings and I was so impressed with their work, I contracted them to install my new kitchen cabinets. Though our condo is only 6 years old, it was a gut rehab of an old building, and as such, the floors and walls are not square. Our kitchen design was quite modern and required proper angles. Charles' crew took the time to get everything exactly right. They measured and measured again. They used a laser level (and several conventional levels) to get the cabinets as straight as possible. They worked efficiently and cleanly, leaving the place in excellent condition. After I had the stone counter-top installed, Charles came back and installed the disposal, hooked up the dishwasher and the water line to the fridge, and installed the faucet. The kitchen looks stunning and I have Charles (and our kitchen designer, of course!) to thank for it.

SHOPPED AROUND FOR THREE ESTIMATES. COULDN'T PIN THE OTHER COMPANIES DOWN ON AN APPOINTMENT. MCFARLAND, HOWEVER, RESPONDED PROMPTLY, SHOWED UP ON TIME, AND SEEMED QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ALL-AROUND LIKEABLE. WE WERE PENCILED IN WITHIN THE WEEK. AS IT TURNED OUT, THEY REQUESTED TO COME A DAY EARLIER BECAUSE THEY HAD AN OPENING! ONCE AGAIN, THEY WERE PROMPT TO ARRIVE, TOOK OFF THE SHINGLES, AND SAID ''OH THIS IS A BIGGER JOB THAN WE HAD EXPECTED, BUT IT'S NOT A PROBLEM, AND IT WILL NOT COST YOU ANYTHING EXTRA.'' IT LOOKS LIKE THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND LEFT EVERYTHING NICELY CLEANED UP. THESE GUYS ARE BEYOND GOOD -- AND ALL TOO RARE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY HIGHLY ENOUGH. A CONTRACTOR WHO ACTUALLY WANTS TO GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE, SHOWS UP WHEN HE SAYS HE WILL, AND THEN GETS PAID FOR A JOB WELL DONE? I MAY NOT HAVE A BUSINESS DEGREE, BUT I THINK MCFARLAND JUST MIGHT BE ONTO SOMETHING HERE...

CHARLES RETURNED MY CALL WITHIN A FEW MINUTES, AND AFTER I EXPLAINED THAT THE WORK WAS A RUSH JOB, AGREED TO COME OUT AND GIVE AN ESTIMATE WITHIN THE HOUR. HE WAS PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS, AND DID THE WORK FOR LESS THAN HIS ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. DURING THE WORK, I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT HOW WIDE I WANTED THE OPENING BETWEEN THE TWO ROOMS TO BE, AND CHARLES ACCOMMODATED ME WITHOUT FUSS. THIS INVOLVED MOVING AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET WHICH HE DID FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE. HE REPAIRED A DENT I PUT IN THE NEW DRYWALL WHEN I WAS TRYING TO ''HELP'' BY REMOVING THE OLD DOOR. HE ALSO PRIMED THE NEW WALL. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE CHARLES AGAIN. A GREAT JOB ALL AROUND.

CHARLES WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND ACCOMMODATING. HE WAS THE FIRST TO GIVE ME A QUOTE OUT OF THREE PEOPLE I HAD COME OVER TO LOOK AT THE PLACE.

CHARLES MCFARLAND AND HIS TEAM WERE EXCELLENT AND FRIENDLY. VERY RESPONSIVE, PROVIDED ESTIMATE IMMEDIATELY. STUCK TO BUDGET AND PERFORMED WORK ON RECORD TIME. VERY ACCOMMODATING TO FAMILY'S NEED. EXCELLENT WORK DONE ALL AROUND AT AN EXTREMELY REASONABLE PRICE.

CHARLES AND TEAM WERE EXCELLENT. THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB OF WORKING WITH ME AND ANSWERING ALL OF MY QUESTIONS OR MODIFYING, AS NEEDED, AS WE UNCOVERED ISSUES AS THE EXISTING DRYWALL CAME DOWN. I THOUGHT CHARLES' PEOPLE WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND EARNED MY TRUST IMMEDIATELY. THIS WAS A VERY DIRTY JOB AND I ENDED UP WITH A FEW SPOTS ON MY ROLLED BACK CARPET, BUT OVERALL IT WAS STILL A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE.

CHARLES MCFARLAND AND HIS CREW DID AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB. HE WAS ALWAYS ACCESSIBLE, ALWAYS RETURNED PHONE CALLS, AND IF NOT ON THE JOB SITE HE WAS IN TOUCH. HE WAS ON TIME FOR OUR FIRST APPT., GOT HIS ESTIMATE TO US QUICKLY, GAVE US REFERENCES AND A COPY OF HIS INSURANCE CERTIFICATE. HIS REFERENCES CHECKED OUT WELL, AND HIS CREW WAS ON TIME. THEY WORKED 7 DAYS A WEEK AND WERE ALWAYS COURTEOUS, POLITE, WORK WAS DONE NEATLY AND CLEANED UP EACH DAY. WILSON, WHO DID THE TRIM PAINTING NOT ONLY PAINTED THE TRIM ON THE WINDOWS, BUT TOOK DOWN THE TRIPLE TRACK WINDOWS AND PAINTED THE OUTSIDE OF THE INSIDE WINDOWS. HE DID A NEAT AND THOROUGH JOB ON THE FRONT and BACK STAIRS. HE WAS NEVER IN A HURRY TO JUST GET THE JOB DONE. CHARLES and WILSON WERE JUST GREAT GUYS TO WORK WITH. I BELIEVE THE COST WAS REASONABLE GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF WORK INVOLVED. THEY ALWAYS WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO ENSURE THAT WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE WORK.
