We undertook a major basement renovation / remodeling with Maya Construction Group. We are 100% happy with the experience and the result. Udi and Ofer were great as general contractor, and their team of workers (concrete, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting) was proficient, punctual, hard-working, respectful and responsive to our wishes and concerns. Udi's and Ofer's professionalism was outstanding, they had an excellent ability to listen to us, communicate with us and then act constructively. Whenever a problem popped up (as is bound to happen in any renovation project), they quickly found and implemented a great solution. They finished ahead of schedule and on budget. We can only thank them for a perfect job which resulted in a fabulous studio space and warmly recommend them to anyone planning a construction project.

Maya construction gets my unqualified best and highest recommendation. We are a legal services firm located in the Loop. We hired Maya Construction to build some custom cubicles for us. From initial phone call to final payment the relationship was professional, positive, and productive. The project moved along fast and flawlessly. Udi Yeger and his team worked effectively with the building engineer and staff and moved in and out of the construction site creating virtually no disruption to the building’s operations or to ours. Each day I prepared staff for the noise, dust and confusion I expected we would experience and each day we were all very pleasantly surprised. Udi’s crew consisted of skilled craftsmen who were all very well briefed on the project and executed it perfectly. I thought I would meet with frequent interruptions and questions, but after the initial discussion of project details, the team was on auto-pilot. Finally, the construction clean-up was amazing. There were a couple of surfaces to dust, and the building’s cleaning crew came in to do a thorough vacuuming, but to the eye, when Udi’s crew left, the site looked clean and finished.

We are so glad that we decided to work with Udi, Ofer and the team at Maya Construction Group. In early 2016, we bought a condo in Logan Square that desperately needed a kitchen remodel. But after sporadically interviewing contractors for nearly two years, we had begun to lose hope that we could find someone that we trusted who could work within our budget. That all changed the first time Udi visited our home. We found him refreshingly honest, kind, knowledgable and trustworthy, and more willing than other people to work with our vision for the space. This was really not a decision that we could afford to get wrong, for both financial and logistical reasons - we were about to have a baby and we needed this finished by a certain date. And while we had received cheaper quotes, Udi was the only person who truly inspired confidence and therefore we found a way to make the cost work for everyone involved. We also particularly liked that he was detailed and straightforward about what could and couldn't be achieved with our existing space. From the first day that his crew came to our house, they were punctual, reliable, respectful of the space, and of course, fantastic craftsmen. Udi and Ofer responded astonishingly quickly to any questions, and always with decency. The most important thing to them is that they get the job right, and that at the end of the line, you are happy with the job that they did. This is something you feel from the first interaction with them, and it's not a mirage. They finished the job on the exact date that they predicted, and while there are always little issues that come up on a job like this in a very old building, I always trusted that they would give me a menu of options and let us choose what was right for us. They did some little things too that they didn't have to do according to the contract, like picking up a sink for us when my wife and I were out of town longer than expected, and helping us choose a paint color when we fell behind on our end of the planning process. I don't know if the pictures below do the job justice, but it's amazing and beautiful, everything that we had dreamed of for two years. We couldn't be happier, and we highly recommend that you give Maya Construction a call for your remodeling needs. You will not regret it.

Maya Construction Group not only did a fantastic job in a timely manner, they were very helpful in preparing us with what to expect throughout the process every step of the way. We found it very convenient to order our kitchen and bathroom cabinetry through their store, Planet Cabinets. It made our project run extra smoothly. We are so happy to be in our beautiful home, but we miss working on the project with them and seeing them as frequently as we used to. They were our partners for 6 months, as they built a master suite on our home. We highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again!

i hired maya construction to redo my bathroom and kitchen. ofer came out and gave me an estimate. i was impressed with his knowledge and decided to take the chance. I am so happy that i did so as the work came out very nice. we bought cabinets from his company called planet cabinets. we were happy with the price of his budget friendly cabinets. also, the counter was installed within a week. home depot quoted us 2 to 3 weeks for counter installation. thakn you maya construction and ofer for the great job.

After some trouble finding reliable contractors around Chicago, I searched online and found Maya Construction Group. I was very impressed with the excellent reviews they have so i called them for an estimate to remodel my kitchen. Ofer, one of the owners was very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable with all the work details and the materials selections. I ended up hiring Maya Construction to do the work and also bought the cabinets from their sister company, Planet Cabinets. The project was completed last week and we are very pleased with the process and the results. Everything went completely smoothly to our satisfaction and we highly recommend using their services.

I live on the north side of Chicago and Maya construction just finished remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. Ofer managed the project. My wife and I really like him and got along well. he was very solid. Pretty much everything he promised and anticipated happened. We had a few small hiccups but they were addressed properly and everyone was happy. Of course there are always surprises when remodeling. The work mainly consisted of tear down and removal of a 1st floor wooden porch and 3 story wooden stairwell, digging and pouring 11 new footings, and various repairs to a 3 story metal deck system. I chose to wait at least a year before posting a review to make certain the work would stand the test of time and am very pleased to share that is has. The work performed was to address City of Chicago code violations. My Project Manager, Ofer, was a total professional throughout the very stressful process and made everything easy for me. Ofer expertly set my expectations about the project and communicated updates to me very effectively. Maya was able to deliver materials, haul debris, navigate work site discrepancies to the architectural plans, suggest additional minor improvements as the project evolved as well as work in some rather tricky areas. The workers were surprisingly quick, the quality of the materials was everything I was promised, and my tenants and neighbors experienced minimal disruption. Maya completed all the work in the timeframe they said they would. Their price was not the lowest of bids I received but it very reasonable for the quality of their work and the attentiveness they gave to the project. I would hire Maya again and would highly recommend them.

Maya Construction guys are true professionals! They were clean, fast, and stayed under budget! Will definitely use them again and recommend to friends! Best experience with Angies List provider so far!

They were professional and did a very good job. Their work was well engineered and they completed the work in a timely manner. They also cleaned up well after themselves and we were happy with their work.

From start everything went very smooth. All of Maya Construction's workers and subcontractors were very professional, nice and friendly. Everything was done according to the schedule and the project was completed even before the expected time. It was a pleasure to work with Ofer and his crew and we will use Maya Construction services for any of our future projects.

Offer was very patient with us as we went through several iterations of brainstorming what we wanted done and looking at the potential estimates. We also wanted to use a number of "green" techniques, and Offer was very helpful with this as well. Once a plan was set and an estimate made, Maya Construction did a great job. They worked very quickly and efficiently, and were also good (very good, in fact) about adjustments we made during the two months of construction. Offer was excellent about communication, and was very accommodating of working with our schedule to meet and survey the work/make decisions as necessary. As a testament to a very good execution of the work, the final "punch" list was very small indeed. We would definitely use Maya Construction again in the future for similar work and have already recommended them to friends.

We met with Ofer, then the architect, and 2 months later construction began. 5 months after that they were finished, on schedule.
