My wife didn't have exact dimensions on the rug so we told them 8 x 10' and it was quoted around $450 because of the pet contamination. We scheduled a drop-off at their location, where they measured rug which turned out to be 8x12 and new price was $613. We were unsure whether it was worth cleaning at $450 price and we asked whether it was worth cleaning since rug was 20 years old and we couldn't remember price we paid for it. Representative said it was definitely worth trying to cleaning (machine made Karastan) - he did say there was no guarantee but then said it was worth adding a stain protector. Since he sounded so confident we agreed to add stain protector for another $117. They also said they could drop it off when it was done instead of us picking it up for no additional charge. When it was dropped off, the delivery person was apologetic and showed that most of the brown staining on the rug was still there and if he had picked it up, he wouldn't have recommended cleaning it because of the pet stain and the fact that it was just a machine made rug. He suggested calling office to complain. At that point, we were unhappy, the rug didn't seem much better than when my wife had cleaned it and felt that they should have called to say they couldn't get stain out before applying and charging us for stain protection. However after calling to complain and being told that someone would call me back the next day, 3 times over the period of a month, I feel that the company is not reliable at all and I would never use them. Things go wrong for everyone but not following up on your promises or responding to complaints just left me with a bad feeling about ever using them again.

I think they are just the best. He cleans my general carpet. They are not cheap. I have tried every other carpet cleaner around. The choice that I had was 3 cleanings by a company not as good or one really good cleaner. When you use Mathew Klujian, they do a really good job over anybody. I have tried everybody. But they charge, you will pay for it. They also do oriental rug cleaning. They have cleaned my oriental rugs but that has been years ago.

Cleaning went well. They are professionals and know wool carpets and do a good job. First, they require prepayment (so if they don't do a good job, you're screwed because they have your money). They also allow a 30% discount for items you bring to them rather than their pickup and delivery. The work was completed. I was out of town and unable to pickup within their 30-day grace period (who knew?). I picked up the carpet when I was back in town. They billed me the 30% back in the mail several days after I picked up. I was extremely upset. They should have had the cojones to tell me that at the time of pickup and we could have talked about it the. Cash up front, billing back 30% without a discussion--enough to make me seek another carpet cleaner. I have 3 large wool rugs--but will do everything I can NOT to return here. Beware!

Mathew Klujian was recommended by our restoration expert after we had water and mold in the house. They were not the "low cost option" but for good reason. They are true professionals who understand the unique needs of handmade rug cleaning, and are well equipped to do so. We will be back with all our rugs over time!

This is the place to go for all rug/carpet cleaning and repair issues. The carpet stores all recommend this place. The only issue I have is that they don't take credit cards. Otherwise - they do a great job.

They answered their phones quickly and you get to speak to a person, this made it easy to get an estimate, pick up, cleaning and return. I arranged to have two rugs picked up from a storage facility. They were on time, moved the rugs from my storage room to their truck, checked the size of the rugs to confirm the price and explained about getting pads cut to size for the rugs. The estimate I got based on the size of the rugs was accurate and I received my Angie's List discount for the service and pads. The company was very understanding when I had to delay delivery due to problems with the renovation of my condo. The same men that picked up the carpets delivered them to my home. The were on time, courteous, careful and professional. The made sure the pads fit under the carpets and that I was satisfied. I would use them again and do recommend them to other.

We were very pleased with the work that Klujian did for us. We have used them in the past and find them pricey but excellent. They are particularly good with carpet repair.

This company did a very good job cleaning my oriental rugs. I sent my carpets out to be cleaned as was having hardwood floors refinished. They did a very good job with the cleaning and were there both to pick up and redeliver when they said they would. I will definitely use this company again.

I’m one of their biggest fans, and they are worth every penny. I would highly recommend them. I’ve been using them for at least 10 years and they have always done a great job.

I have used Klujian in the past for rug cleaning and been very pleased with their service. But this experience has been terrible. When the rug came back the first time, we noticed that the broken loops had not been repaired (despite paying for it) and that a new red stain was on the rug that was not there when we sent it. The rug also was covered with a lot of fuzz and debris -- not what I expected from a supposedly freshly cleaned rug. When I called to complain and ask how they planned to fix it, they were very defensive. They agreed to pick it up and fix the problems but did not apologize. The rug came back a second time, and this time it had a new stain on it from some glue they used for the backing. When I called and spoke to the owner, he was even more defensive and arrogant. He argued with me repeatedly, claimed the original stain came from the rug backing (but didn't take any responsibility for failing to clean it), and tried to shout me down by spouting about how he is the best in the business, cleans $50,000 rugs, and is used by all sorts of prominent families. I know they have a good reputation, and that is why I had used them. But I will never use them again because the people running it do not acknowledge their mistakes and fight with you when you expect them to take responsibility to fix them.

They are polite, professional, on time and knowledgeable about what they are going to do. I have a good deal of white, silk furniture. To clean that you have to be careful and I think they are the only people in the city I would trust to do that. I will absolutely continue to use them in the future. I get a great deal of personal care from Matt himself.

Poorly. They evaluated all the rugs we gave for cleaning. We received one rug with missing threads and in particular, one area looked as if somebody cut with thin razor-like knife. They eventually fixed it, but it was a hassle and these guys were just full of "%&*", like really bad shmoozing used car sales men.

I called them because they were recommended by someone who used to be in the rug business. They were good when they came out. I hired another company who was terrible. They seemed OK. They were prompt.

They used chemicals instead of steam cleaning. I didn't want chemical cleaning. He gave me a price but it was more than who I went with. I don't know much about carpet cleaning but it is probably because he used chemicals. He did return my call rather quickly though.

I took the rugs to the cleaners but they do pick up and deliver also. These people are very experienced in cleaning and repairing oriental rugs. I am happy with their service. The rugs are ready when they say they will be and I will keep using this company.

They arrived on time and immediately began the work, laying down tarp as they entered so as not to scratch or dirty the wood floors. As they began cleaning, they showed us that the carpeting had not been laid properly by the previous owners. The work was done with diligence and attention to getting the soil out of the carpeting. They also offered to clean all other rugs in the house and even the car mats. They also informed us that an area rug we had was quite expensive and made of good quality, of course we had no idea, as it was bought at yard sale for considerably less. The servicemen were professional, courteous and affable.

I have used many other carpet cleaners and have never seen my rugs so clean. They might be a bit more expensive than others, but they are worth every penny. They are absolutely superb with nice workers who are courteous and competent. I have had nothing but good experiences with them and have used them for at least 10 years. If there is any chance that you think you might have to throw out your carpet, call them first. They can clean things that seem unable to be saved. Its an investment to have your carpets cleaned by them instead of throwing them away.

They came back looking like new. I especially think they did a good job on the fringe of the rugs. Everything happened as scheduled. I will use them again.

Not much of a story to tell. The carpet was not too dirty to begin with; no stains. I saw Klujian on Angies List. They were the closest. I brought the rug there. They did a good job; the staff I dealt with were nice. The price seemed reasonable.

The rug is hand woven wool and an important rug to us. We dropped it off to Mathew Klujian and Sons to clean it. This was our second time bringing it to them. We are happy with their work. The rug is always cleaned well, and in pristine condition when we get it home and unwrap it. It is a relief that they seem to really know wool rugs and the right way to maintain them. They offered some advice to us that we accepted and are pleased. We will continue to bring this valuable piece to us back to Klujian and Sons for cleaning.

PHENOMENAL. TWO OTHER CARPET COMPANIES TRIED TO CLEAN SOME GROUND IN DIRT FROM A HEAVILY TRAFFIC AREA. THEY FAILED, KLUJIAN SUCCEEDED!!! WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN. NOT ONLY WERE THEY BETTER, THEY WERE CHEAPER.

THIS WAS A GREAT INVESTMENT, BEAUTIFULLY DONE, STILL GREAT AFTER FIVE YEARS, COMFORTABLE AND LOOKS GREAT. DID JOB IN TIGHT TIMEFRAME.

THE BINDING ON ONE RUG IS TORN UP AND ON ANOTHER IS LOOSE. FOR THIS KIND OF PRICE YOU THINK THAT WOULDN'T HAPPEN. THEY DIDN'T TELL ME THAT IT HAPPENED WHEN I PICKED UP THE RUGS. I FOUND IT OUT WHEN I UNWRAPPED THEM.

WHEN CALLING FOR ESTIMATES, KLUJIAN & SONS WERE THE ONLY COMPANY TO ASK IF I HAVE WOOL OR SYNTHETIC CARPETS (I HAVE WOOL), THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THEY WOULD NOT CLEAN THE AREA RUGS IN THE HOUSE AND WOULD NEED TO PICK THEM UP AND HAVE THEM CLEANED AT THEIR FACILITY (I HAVE TWO WOOL, HAND-WOVEN, EXPENSIVE AREA RUGS AND TO PROPERLY CLEAN AND PROTECT THEM AND MY HARDWOOD FLOORS THEY SHOULD NOT BE CLEANED IN THE HOME). HAVING KNOWN THIS, I ELIMINATED THE COMPANIES THAT SAID THEY WOULD CLEAN THE AREA RUGS WHEN THEY CLEANED THE WALL TO WALL. THE TWO TECHNICIANS CAME ON TIME AND WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY GAVE ME THE ESTIMATE (THEY CHARGE BY THE SQ, FT.) AND WERE VERY FAIR AND EVEN THREW IN A FEW EXTRAS. THE TOTAL JOB TOOK OVER FOUR HOURS TO COMPLETE AND THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB, THEY MOVED AND REPLACED ALL THE FURNITURE AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEY COMPLETED THE WORK. A WEEK LATER THEY DELIVERED MY AREA RUGS AS PROMISED. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
