Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

Purchased this service for a townhouse I just purchased and was renovating. All vents were dusty and dirty. I was not present when service was provided so cannot review the timeliness and process. In phone communication with the provider, I had some difficulty understanding what was said, language accent, and was not expecting a Chicago-based business to call on a phone from Washington DC. End result: clean air ducts. I can really tell difference in air quality - no dust particles and air seems lighter/cleaner.

Everything was great. The gentleman asked where all the air ducts were and proceeded to clean them out using a giant vacuum.

The provider arrived early, which was fine. He brought in a large vacuum, which he attached to the blower side of the system, through an existing vent hole. This is important to note since the most dirt is in the RETURN side of the system, which is the OTHER side of the system. They did not remove any grills or covers. They proceeded to clean the ducts by blowing air into the grills, not by removing them and forcing all the debris down to the main lines. After about 90 minutes, they said they were done. i removed one return cover, and pointed out the filth in there, at which point the technician said he forgot that particular one, and proceeded to do some additional cleaning. I asked a few more questions, especially when it came to the return ducts, and I was not satisfied that the technician knew what he was doing, or that he was interested in doing a thorough job. $249 for a complete duct cleaning is just too cheap - you get what you pay for. I would never recommend them. Anyone who says your ducts are clean without removing any duct covers is just plain lying. To clean ducts you need to cut holes in the ducts in order to loosen and push debris to a central point. Lowes did not do that. Sanitizing was included, but I never saw him use anything to sanitize the ducts.

The duct work was cleaned. I wasn't home at the time and would have liked a follow up call with details of what they found.

The person sent for the job was punctual and professional. I appreciated that he explained what he would be doing. Once I showed him furnace and vents he proceeded to do his thing. For anyone that hasn't had this done just be forewarned that it is an extremely loud machine/process that is required to clean the ducts. It was very efficient. Came in on time. Did the work well and that's it. If only everything was that straight forward. I would recommend this service to others.

It went okay. They would have taken more time to do the research. I have a duct that was not in place and it took them more time to explain it to me. It was pretty good work. They arrived on time.

Didn't know they had to cut a hole in my main air venting section to get the huge equipment connected. Quick job but kept blowing my electric out with their equipment. He used the vacuum to clean only vent where I was but should have used that throughout would have left less debris after using air compressor to blow out vents. Might try another company next time

Bought a pre-owned house, and needed air duct and dryer vent cleaning. Sergey was the one who did the service. He was prompt on arrival and answered all the questions I had doubt about and was done with the work on the said time. He explained how the system works as well show the results after the work. All the mess was cleaned up at the end. I will highly recommend them and will also use them again.

The service person called approximately 30 minutes before his arrival which was within the agreed upon appointment time. Once he arrived "Sergey" explained, the detailed on the steps he was going to take to clean the furnace vents in clear concise language also providing me with an estimated time to complete the service. "Sergey" communicated with me throughout the process providing insight in cleaning the vents as appropriate. The service was completed in approximately 2.5 hours on a bi-level 1800 square foot home. Once service was complete "Sergey" checked furnace to ensure all is well after service. Cleaned up after service very well. I am very happy with the service and professionalism that was provided.

Service we great our tech was punctual actually called and asked if he could arrive about 30 minutes early. That was great. It took about 2 hours from start to finish. He as informative throughout. For example he had pointed out where rust had started to appear on one of the bathroom registers when we had always assumed it was dirt. That was greta help so we replaced that vent cover.

Sergey got here just within the time frame, but still apologized for the traffic. He was a nice guy and we started by showing him the duct work. After that he took over and showed me the areas that needed work. Within two hours everything was completed and he was able to show me the results. Overall, he was clean, polite, and nice. I'm feeling much better, and while my wife is still coughing, she has a cold. I give them the biggest thumbs up that I can. The home smells much nicer now.

Cleaning the whole house vents! We just moved into our new home and the air was a little foul. To be safe seeing we have 2 kids we decided to clean all the vents. All work was done in less than 2 hours and the worker kept our house tidy.

Technician was punctual, very professional and friendly. Before entering the house he removed shoes to keep floors clean. He explained in detail each step in cleaning the vents. He did a very thorough job then cleaned all debris. We were very pleased with his work. We would recommend him to others.

Purchased a deal to have all vents cleaned and sanitized and dryer vent cleaned. Mladen came out to perform the service. He called the morning of service to ask if he could come early. It worked out well with our schedule. When he arrived he had me walk him around the house to show him where each vent was. He explained exactly what he was going to do. One of our vents had been painted shut, but he was able to get it open so the duct could be cleaned. He was very professional.

It went great! We were looking for someone to come out rather quickly as we just wrapped up a rather large and dusty construction job in our home, my husband called on 4/13 and we had an appointment scheduled for the very next day at noon. They arrived on time, got right to work and no mess was left behind. We are very pleased and would definitely recommend Lowe's.

Sergey arrived at my home at the time promised. Sergey did a very good job. I waited a few weeks to give my review primarily because I could not see the results of his work visually. The evidence of his work was in the air so to speak. Prior to his cleaning the duct work I would sneeze a lot, 20 to 30 times a day. Post cleaning I sneeze 1 or 2 times a day. There was not a tremendous amount of dust and debris in the hepa filter when we looked but as I said I don't sneeze very much any more. That to me is the proof I was looking for. I will probably have this done again in a few years. I am 60 years old and my health is important to me. I was getting sick frequently and I believe moving forward this will probably just plain stop happening.

He arrived early which was good. The air vents were cleaned and also the dryer vent. Very professional, worked quickly and efficiently. I will use them again.

Lowe's duct cleaning deal on Angie's List was completely transparent with no hidden fees, like additional costs per vent. Sergey called me about 30 minutes before his arrival, which was on the early end of the two hour window I was given by the scheduler. He was friendly, polite and worked very hard for the entire time he was at our home. The prior owners had probably not cleaned the vents in quite some time, so there was a lot of dust in the duct system. Sergey showed me the HEPA receptacle afterwards and said I should take a picture because there was so much dust! Lowe's did a fantastic job, and we will definitely hire them again when the need arises.

WENT well had a two zone system and they informed me in advance would have additional 199 dollar charge. All done as expected was a surprised didn't supply replacement filters and during the cleaning were not able to clean an internal part of the furnace but not a big deal

I was not personally present, but my younger brother was. According to him, the job was done very well and at the end of the job showed how much dust and debris was sitting in my air ducts which made paying for the service well worth it.

Very satisfied with my experience. Not having had this service before I wasn't sure what to expect but Sergey was on time, pleasant, professional, and showed me what he was going to do along the way. He even showed how full of lint my dryer vent was. I highly recommend Lowe's and will use them again.

Sergey was my technician. I had him do two houses on the 3/12/2016. Sergey you can tell loves vent cleaning and does a great job. He was a one man team that day and took his time to clean, sanitize, and clean the dryer vent. Sergey has very high tech equipment and can be left alone to do the job. Would use him again for the future and any other of my houses.
