Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

The service man was respectful, congenial, and prompt. However, the "cleaning" was entirely ineffective. He explained that Lowe's uses a "push pull" method where they hook a vacuum up to your furnace and then blow compressed air into your vents. They do not remove the vent grilles; when I asked why not, I was told it is too difficult and it doesn't help anyway. I wasn't impressed, but the serviceman was following Lowe's established procedures, so I thought I'd see how it went. After he left, I popped a few grille covers off myself so see my new clean air ducts, and it was clear that the cleaning was completely ineffective. The "cleaning" pushed the accumulated dust and debris a foot or so down the duct and that was it (see attached photos--yes, these are AFTER photos!). I also paid for "sanitizing" of the system. When it appeared this hadn't been done, I asked the service man what that was, and he said he sprays some liquid into the furnace and then turns the system on. I am unimpressed with Lowe's procedures. Finally, I also paid for a dryer vent cleaning. This consisted of the service man turning on the dryer, and putting a small flexible chimney sweep type device into the dryer vent from the outside. Because the dryer vent is flexible and curves, I don't think he got more than halfway down the vent with the little brush. He did not disconnect the vent on the inside to clean it further. The whole process took about 3 minutes. It would be much more effective (and much cheaper) to just buy a new vent and replace the old one. If you had a long straight rigid vent run to the dryer, then Lowe's method might help some, but it was pretty worthless in my situation.

He did a good job as far as I know but he was not very friendly or personable. I am not sure that I could have done the job myself.

Antonio was a pleasure to work with. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and answered all of the questions my husband and I had as well as explaining his process. He worked very quickly and efficiently and was finished well before we expected him to be. Price was reasonable, including an adjustment for a second heating system. Also contact and communication in setting up the appointment was good. Would absolutely hire this company again.

Excellent! Work was done perfectly, my house was well taken care of. No dirt or debris left. The technician was very careful and even was worried my cats didn't like the sound of his equipment. When one of them just disappeared he offered to help me looking for him. That was very sweet.

Original appointment was cancelled. I was originally told that the service tech would be there between 8-10 on the day that I had scheduled. Customer service called me at 9:45 to let me know that the driver's vehicle broke down and he couldn't make it. Not a huge deal… I definitely understand mechanical difficulties, but I did miss a couple hours of work because of this. I was able to reschedule for a couple weeks later. Service tech came and was very polite. I am pleased with the work that was done. However, the tech did not thoroughly verify that my AC was working again before he left. He left and I was w/o AC. Service tech returned and was able to fix this, but it was slightly inconvenient that I had to take additional time out of my workday for this to get fixed.

Work was completed in a very professional manner. The representative from Lowe's was both personable and informative. Arrival was punctual and the work was completed in a timely fashion. Our only concern was that not all of the vent covers themselves were cleaned off, but perhaps this was not part of the overall service.

The cleaning went very well. The technician was polite, informative and very thorough. I have had other companies clean ducts before at previous homes that we have owned, but no company has ever been as thorough at cleaning all ducts, covers and cold air returns and covers. Spic and span!

We purchased a deal through Angie's List for Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning. Their serviceman came out exactly at the arranged time and told us precisely what he was going to do. He set up a huge vacuum on the main line into the furnace, and then proceeded to work through layers of paint to remove all the registers and vents. After that, he vacuumed out years of dirt from behind the registers and vents, and then used a hose with compressed air to blow anything that fell into the duct work down into the main line to be picked up by the vacuum. He had all of this done in about two hours of constant work. The air is coming through the registers much better, and it even smells better in the house! It is a little dusty in here, but that was to be expected given the years of dirt they cleaned out. Lowe's serviceman did a great job. Thank you!

I purchased an offer for Lowe's to clean the air duct's in my home. I called to make an appointment and then called back to add dryer vent cleaning at an additional cost. I was notified a few days before the appointment that the technician was ill and I was immediately assigned an alternate date that was conducive to my schedule. The technician actually called to see if he could come earlier on the rescheduled day, which worked great for me. When he arrived he politely introduced himself, thoroughly explained the process and gave me an estimated completion time (which was met). I am extremely happy with the customer service from my initial call through to the completion of the work. I highly recommend Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning-Midwest and, as a pet owner, I will absolutely use them again.
