Do not buy on-line from this company! I placed my order on Aug. 14, 2014 and paid for it in full via my debit card ($712.80). I was told to allow 6 to 8 weeks because the item was made-to-order. After I had placed the order, they sent me a confirmation but I did not heard anything else about it, although I did receive numerous promotional e-mails from them. With 8 weeks approaching, I decided to call them (866.954.4489) to check status, but had to leave a v-message (on the status-check designated line). A few days later when I had not received a return call, I called again?and again had to leave another message. After a couple more days I still had not received a return call, so I called again but this time I refused to be connected with the status-check line and went directly to a live customer service person. She (Jen Chonillo) apologized after learning that none of my calls had been returned and agreed to check status for me personally. That?s when I learned that the item I had ordered had been discontinued! No one had bothered to contact me to advise me of this fact?and they certainly did not send a refund until I demanded it. Here I had been sitting for 8 weeks like a fool believing that any day my kitchen ceiling light was going to be delivered. I am furious with the total lack of customer service. I contacted the manufacturer (Hubbardton Forge) directly and they informed me that this item has been obsolete for a long time. PS: Their website still shows this item as available. They have a million lights to choose from but they are very expensive. Unless you want to get some design advice, it is much easier to shop online than to go into the store, (although the displays at the store make it worth at least one trip). Their warehouse is on Clybourn which makes pick up of in stock items easy. Be warned: the sales associates work on commission!
