Description of Work: We have used Larry time and again over the years, most recently to fix busted exterior pipes. But he has put in a laundry tub, fixed toilets, installed and repaired faucets and garbage disposals, and so much more.

+ -1 moreI've worked with Larry for a couple of years now. Mostly for small handyman type plumbing issues and secondly smaller carpentry repairs. The toilet work was the biggest project I've employed him for. He did a great job. He always does. I recommend him for plumbing projects around the house. He's less expensive than union/expensive shops and does the job nicely.
Description of Work: Larry replaced two old toilets in my house with toilets I purchased. He also repaired two other toilets in the house.

He's friendly and professional. He's very affordable. He really is a handy man. Larry always returns phone calls.

+ -1 moreIt went just fine. Larry was responsive. He returned my call the same day. He came out for an estimate within a couple days. And he completed the work in one day, probably within a week after giving him the go ahead. Larry was pleasant to work with and very straightforward. He had good comments and suggestions regarding the project. Cleaned up afterward. On time/On budget.
Description of Work: I had a 3 pane basement window that needed attention. One pane was broken and I wanted to replace all 3 panes, clean up and generally stabilize the frame and area immediately surrounding the window. It was one of those home repairs that you say to yourself, I need to get at that someday, and keep putting it off because it really isn't "broken". However, this summer, one of the panes was broken and the time had come to give this window some attention. I decided to look at Angie's List for a handyman type. I had never hired a handyman before. This was a perfect handyman type job.

+ 0 moreI've hired Larry probably eight or nine times during the year and a half since I moved to this community, both for plumbing and general handyman stuff, and have been very pleased with his work every time. It is always done well and quite reasonably priced. He is pleasant, conscientious, arrives exactly on time, leaves the place perfectly clean, guarantees the work. He gives good advice without being pushy. If he isn't able to fix something on the spot, he checks around until he can find the right part or whatever and comes back promptly to do it. He really goes the extra mile.
Description of Work: He has done both small plumbing jobs -- unstopping sink, fixing broken faucet, etc. -- as well as small handyman jobs -- repairing wobbly railing, installing coat hooks and bathroom accessories, etc.

+ 0 moreWater was "pouring" under our kitchen sink area. We contacted Larry after having read that plumbing is his specialty. He came out the next day, knew just what was needed, and even knew who to contact to get us new parts. Our sink is perfect now, thanks to Larry. We even called him later that night on an unrelated hot water heater issue and he took our call and talked us through a fix on that, too.
Description of Work: Larry diagnosed a persistent leak under our kitchen faucet. He contacted the manufacturer and arranged for free replacement fixtures. He also tightened other faucets. When the new parts arrived, Larry returned and assembled everything.

Description of Work: Larry replaced an ancient toilet in my basement. Even though it was leaking others told me to leave it alone since it was so old that "you didn't know what you might be getting in to". Larry was the one guy who looked at it & told me he could replace it somehow & make it work. Sure there were unknowns until he got the old one removed & he could see what was underneath but at least Larry was willing to give it a shot. Luckily underneath the toilet was okay & Larry was able to replace the leaky, ancient toilet with a brand new one. In addition, he hooked up a pedestal sink (another thing that plumbers hate to do). But Larry fussed with it & got it done.

Description of Work: I wasn't sure what the problem was, but I did know the I had a lot of water in the cabinet underneath my kitchen sink. Larry came out the day after I called him, told me what the problem was - I needed a new faucet. I went out and got a new faucet - based on his helpful reccomendations, and he came back right away to install it.
