The heating element for my Samsung dryer burned out and LaCosta repair was quick to diagnose. The machine was disassembled, defective part was removed and a replacement ordered within an hour. Next day the new part was installed, machine reassembled in less than an hour and has been working without issue since. Very punctual, professional and offered a great price for the serviced rendered.

Dryer was making excessive noise while operating. La Costa returned our call promptly and set up an appointment to service the dryer. He explained there was a fee to come out an diagnose the problem. Then we would advice how much the total repair would cost after trouble shooting. Dryer works like new again and price was more than fair.

I realized my dryer was not heating around 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. I searched Angie's List and texted this company around 2:45 to see if I could get an appt during the week. I got an immediate response saying they could come out between 6 and 7pm today ! I was surprised they would come out on a Sunday night. I texted my address and directions and was happy that I'd have it done right away. I got a call from the Gilberto at 3:25 asking if he could come by around 4:00pm instead. He then called around 4:10 to verify my address and was right around the corner. He quickly found the issue, I needed a thermal fuse, gave me the price and I agreed. He had the part in his truck and replaced it, cleaned behind the dryer and was on his way by 4:40. Polite, courteous, and exceptional service and came out on a Sunday ! Thank you !!

Gilberto was courtesy and went above his responsibilities. He was prompt and told us that the cost for parts alone would exceed the value of the dryer. As we decided to recycle it and swap out for one from storage he did not hesitate and helped bring it in and set it up for us. I highly recommend Gilberto.

With working a job in which you have a crazy traveling schedule it is often imperative to be able to find a professional repairman that can come to your home on a rare day when you are working from home to do a repair. That was the situation for me. My dryer had stopped heating up and I had a rare day working from home and needed immediate response to this need. Gilberto from La Costa appliance repair was sensitive to that need and promptly came within the window of time I had for a serviceman to come. He was not only prompt but clearly understood the work he had to do. He promptly examined my dryer and determined that the thermal fuse had gone. He also noted that it had been years since I had done a maintenance on the dryer and the built-up dirt Etc could have been hazardous maintained. He had all the parts necessary with him to do the work. Prior to doing the work he showed me exactly all the issues and the current state of my dryer and explained the needs. He was quick and efficient and cleaned up when the work was complete. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Gilberto diagnosed the problem with the refrigerator as a faulty fan. He replaced the fan and he noted that the control board was not functioning properly. He left and returned with a replacement control board. After installing the new board the refrigerator worked as new. We asked him to look at our furnace. He cleaned the furnace and showed us how to deal with the humidifier. Gilberto is very professional, polite, and very knowledgeable. He is very efficient, works quickly and very well. We would certainly use his services again. We highly recommend Gilberto.

The facts of my interaction with this business: 1. Alberto arrived on time and said flame sensor needed to be cleaned. 2. I left him with furnace to run an errand and asked to call me once issue was diagnosed, before doing any work. He called me saying he did the work and was waiting for me. I paid him. 3. Next day, furnace turns off again and he can’t diagnose issue accurately, and suggested an $80 control board. So, I call another guy instead (to avoid a guessing game) who removes and cleans flame sensor (I noticed that it was brown initially, and after he cleaned it in front of me, it was silver) and furnace has been good since. 3. I text Alberto to voice my opinion about his service and the sensor, he offers to refund me if I send receipt from other repairman and states that the repairman “didn’t clean it the professional way” b/c he used sandpaper”. 4. I text him a photo of the receipt And the name of the company, he texts me back “lol, nice receipt”. I suppose that meant I “created” a fake receipt-because local repairmen ALWAYS have branded receipts. 5. Never got refund.

The dryer in my rental unit was not working. The team at La Costa showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired at a very reasonable price. My tenants are happy, the dryer is working and the cost of the repairs was appropriate. I would highly recommend La Costa!

Very excellent my heater is on and running better than ever!

He was very knowledgeable was exactly what he thought. Gilberto replaced a few parts and now my dryer is running like new. And this is a 13 year old dryer.

Excelente! I call him for the stove and I like his service so much that I call him to clean my furnace. He fund a gas leak that I was no aware of. He fixed it and didn’t charge a lot which I was surprised for all the work than. I will recommend him to all my friends. I also liked that he was able to do the work in the evening at no extra charge.
